• Internal users can't receive email sent by application

  We have an application server that hosts a CRM application. It is using SMTP on it's own server to send emails. If I send an email using the application to [email protected], it shows up in my inbox. If I send an email to [email protected], it never shows up. It doesn't matter what address I put in for @MyCompanyDomain.com, they never get through. Any email addresses outside our domain/firewall get through. We're using Exchange 2007 and when I look at the message tracking logs, the missing messages don't show up there, either. Is there something I need to configure in Exchange or the SMTP server on the application server? I can't figure out why emails get outside the firewall but internal emails never show up. • Routing traffic to another internal network

  OK, so here is the scenario. I have 4 Locations connected with an MPLS. I have installed an ASA at the primary location which is 10.20.1.0. Traffic is fine internally and to the world, however... I can't route traffic over the MPLS to another network. It is being blocked by an implicit deny rule even though there is a rule to allow any to any less secure interface (it should be using the same interface in/out, right?). I have a static route for the network in and the ASA can ping it - Just not traffic on the internal network of the ASA. -Jason

• Windows OS's cannot boot on new internal harddrive

  I have installed a new internal 500GB hard drive into a Dell Inspiron N4030 and it appears that the installation was entirely successful. The BIOS recognizes the drive and shows the serial number of the hard drive. The problem is that I cannot boot any Windows OS. I have tried XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It displays only a black screen with a blinking cursor. Fedora boots successfully. My old hard drive crashed, but would atleast boot up these OS's before it died. Any help?

Our plan is therefore: Setup Exchange 2013 to retrieve email via POP Connector - Done Setup Exchange 2013 to send ALL mail via a SmartHost - Issues I have set the domains in Mail Flow Accepted Domains to Internal Relay, enabled a Smart Host for * as the domain name, and disabled/deleted the accounts that are not setup yet; however Exchange just bounces the emails with no errors.

• internal compiler error

  I am getting this message: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.4/README.Bugs> for instructions. for every compilation that takes longer (ie: linux kernel, kde sources etc.) I've tried other OS (at that moment I was on Fedora 12, now on Debian; was a Suse also) and it didn't work. I've tried replacing my hard disk, since it needed an upgrade either ways - that didn't work either. I assumed that it's the RAM fault - tested them with memtest and it says they are fine. Does anyone know what else I can do in order to figure out where the problem is?

• Cannot access website from inside network

  I have a website running from my internal network available at the example IP 192.168.1.5. When I type this in to the browser, it redirects to my domain name ie, "example.com", and gives me Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Any other machine that is inside of the network can access the website. The website is also accessible outside of the network. Other services from the server, like file sharing or ftp, are available to all machines in the network including the one i'm having issues http issues with. The issue may be linked to a proxy service, but from my understanding the service has been completely disabled and any executable have been uninstalled from the machine. I am wondering if there is some residual proxy information remaining on the machine that limits the connection. I'm fairly positive that "example.com" is what is being blocked by the local machine, and not an IP address being blocked or a faulty connection. When I examine the hosts file, there are no redirects to the local machine for "example.com". There was a rule, as on my other machines within the network: 192.168.1.5 example.com But i have since removed that for troubleshooting purposes. What intrigued me is that when I use the actual IP, the IP address will redirect to the domain in the browser and THEN say ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Server-Side Results The server logs are reporting this: example.com ::1 - - [Date & time] "OPTIONS * HTTP/1.0" 200 126 "-" "Apache/2. 2.22 (Unix) (internal dummy connection)" However, this seems to be irrelevant as it is not triggered when I try to connect to the server with the specified machine. Fiddler results: Host: *example.com* Proxy-Connection: keep-alive Chrome-Side [Fiddler] The connection to 'example.com' failed. Error: ConnectionRefused (0x274d). System.Net.Sockets. SocketException No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 01.23.45.67:80 01.23.45.67:80 would be the external IP, which the server and the machine in question both share. I am doing so reading into 0x274d and its coming back with .NET web.config information. I am still at a loss to what to do with this information. I have WireShark running as well. Theres is a lot of sensitive information in the readout and I'm not sure what to extract from it. Either way, if it helps, I can access that information if anyone would like me to.   Are there any computer vendors (like Dell, Lenovo, or..) that still sell laptops with an internal serial port? We are using several modem and other kind of box at work that have to be used (and/or programmed) with serial port (RS232, DB9, ..). We tried many usb/pcmcia serial adapter which run fine when used to load programs on the boxes but not with modems. The protocol behind the RTC connection (with modem) need timer we are not able to reach when using an adapter (maybe until we find a very good adapter), and that leads to my question..

• Internal LTO tape drive becomes hot

  We use an internal LTO3 tape drive (HP Ultrium 920) in a PC (no particular server hardware) running Linux. The tape drive becomes quite hot - I don't have the exact temperature, but you may touch it for a second or two, then it hurts ;-) This happens when the tape has nothing to do (during reading/writing, it might become even hotter, I haven't checked that). Besides that, the system is working fine. Now I'm wondering Why does the tape becomes so hot? Is this something I need to care about? Is there something like a 'standby' mode for the tape? (I think it should not consume that much energy when it is not used)

  Hi there My boss has an intranet he wants his employees to gain access to from the WWW. Theres a sharepoint server running on 192.168.10.10 and SBS can be seen from a website 81.244.232.22 (some numbers like this). When you access, theres a default internal sharepoint site "companyweb" but we dont want to use that we want the main sharepoint site which has all the business on it. is this possible? Currently we have to connect to a computer, chose the server and then get in that way. Any ideas?

  I've got 12 servers in datacenter, but can login by SSH into one of them (facade server), other servers available only from it.   Hi, I have and old content database which i restored in my sharepoint 2007. But whenver i try to access web sites in my sharepoint i get error : 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. I can see the old content database at :- Sharepoint Centre Admin-Application Management-Content databases. There is no difference in the version of the old content database. • How do I make everything open in the internal editor in eclipse

  I'm using Galileo and plenty of file types work just fine (java, txt) but others open in an external editor. Double clicking on a .sh opens it in emacs. Double clicking on a .py opens bluefish. What sort of madness is this and how do I stop it? I don't want to make an association for each type explicitly; I just want everything to open in the internal editor by default (or preferably Eclim, but that's another issue). Any ideas?

• Clone a 2TB WD Green internal drive with bad sectors to a 3TB partitioned external

  I have a 2TB WD Black drive and would like to simply do a straight clone from a failing 3TB drive to it. Both are SATA. Will I be able to just install the new drive alongside the faulty one and then do the clone/rescue attempt with ddrescue or is there a better method? The faulty internal drive mentioned has bed sectors although am usually able to boot into Windows 7 Ultimate with it and navigate and access all my programs. I have been attempting some trials with an Ubuntu Live CD using ddrescue but am not sure I'm doing it right. I have a 3TB WD my book essential external which is GPT and have created a separate 2TB partition on it which I am trying to clone to. I assume I need to format the new drive first to NTFS? Can I do that via the Ubuntu Rescue Remix 12-04 live DVD that I've been booting with?

• Debugging Internal Emails with Exchange 2003/2010

  I am in the middle of migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 SP1. I have moved one mailbox over to the new server EXCHANGE2010 . For some reason if an internal email is sent from someone on EXCHANGE2003 (the old server), it is not delivered to the new mailbox on EXCHANGE2010. Where should I look to debug this problem? What logs should I consult? Update: I found the messages in Queues on the old server, listed as messages with an unreachable destination.

The current configuration is the following: To access through Internet you use http://webexample.com To access through Local Network you use http://myweb The main problem is that the local users cannot share links with external users. Thats a problem for us. I want to setup the following configuration: All users (local and Internet) access through http://webexample.com The local DNS server resolves http://webexample.com to the local Network IP (i.e 192.168.2.100) Any other suggestion? Which is the best way to override http://webexample.com resolution in Windows Server? It can be done on DNS server or it have to be done in hosts file?

• Internal Server Error when using eForm with ModX

  One of our clients is using modx v.0.9.6.3 with eForm. They also have their own exchange server and web hosting is done through us. We used the eForm v.1.4.4.5 to send out emails. However, they cannot get any emails from this form and when addressed to [email protected] it instantly gets to 500 Internal Server Error when the form is submitted. Note: the eForm is successfully sent when the receiver is anyone but the client. I have successfully received the email form report from a work email, and also personal email.

• mod_rewrite issue | Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects

  ok what Im doing normally works but since my rule "includes" itself is giving me issues and can't find a solution after hours working on different options. I have a .htaccess with: RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/3.15.0/(.*) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /3.15.0/$1 [L] this is for my software versions, I have a program that can request sometimes versions that are updated and in the server may be behind a couple version so I want to be able to say that whatever is comming in forward to the latest version that in this example is 3.15.0 /var/www/nameblabla/3.15.0 my .htaccess is on /var/www/nameblabla/.htaccess so the first Condition is to ignore request that already has the right path and version.. the second should be to grab all request and forward to 3.15.0... and of course not loose the path to the files I want from inside that should be the same. so far I can only get it to redirect to such directory but will loose the path and others I get the "Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects" I guess this is because Im including the 3.15.0 path Any help or another way to do this with out mod_rewrite?

  Hello, We have the BT broadband forwarding on to an internal machine with an IIS web server running. Thats fine, it goes to the sharepoint app, so the outside world can see this app. Thing is we need another app running (a MVC ASP.Net app) and I have set it to :8080. Internally I can get to it fine, but not when I type the IP number. eg. 80.100.232.129:8080 is this something I need to set on the broadband router or something with SBS or somewhere else? thanks in advance

• Dynamic to static internal IP address (Snow Leopard server)

  I purchased a new Mac mini server, since my old iMac, which was a server pretty much died. My problem is this. How do I change my internal IP address for my mac mini server to a static address, like 192.168.0.2? Before you guys harp on me, my old server was running Ubuntu Hardy and I only had to map the IP address in the router, which would automatically assign the reserved address through DHCP. Now, I know things are different between the two, but my problem is that the mac is not accepting the assigned IP address or the router just is not assigning. However, every time I have manually changed it on the Mac to an address of my choice, it takes the computer off the Internet. My router is a NetGear WTG624 v2, I believe. I need this to work, so I can utilize Dynamic DNS.
