• How do I correct "Commit Failed. File xxx is out of date. xxx path not found."

  I have recently run into a particularly sticky issue regarding committing the result of a merge in subversion. Our Subversion server is @ 1.5.0 and my TortoiseSVN client is now @ 1.6.1. I am trying to merge a feature branch back into my trunk. The merge appears to work okay; however, the commit fails with the following error message. Commit failed (details follow): File 'flex/src/com/penbay/invision/portal/services/http/soap/ReportServices/GetAllBldgsParamsByRegionBySiteResultEvent.as' is out of date '/svn/ibis/!svn/wrk/531d459d-80fa-ea46-bfb4-940d79ee6d2e/visualization/trunk/source/flex/src/com/penbay/invision/portal/services/http/soap/ReportServices/GetAllBldgsParamsByRegionBySiteResultEvent.as' path not found You have to update your working copy first. My working trunk is up to date. I have even checked out a new one into a different folder to make sure there wasn't any local cruft messing with the merge. I have done some more research into this and I think part of the problem is user error. I think our problems are: We had some developers committing work with a subversion client before 1.5 and some after. I believe this has the potential to corrupt the merge info. In other branches we have performed partial merges. That is, we did not always perform merges at the root of the branch. This was to facilitate updating Flex and .NET efforts within the same branch. We performed cyclic (reflexive) merges on our branch. This was done because we had multiple parallel branches and we wanted to periodically update our branch with the latest code in trunk. All of these things are explicitly not recommended by the Subversion book/team. We have learned our lesson and now know the best practices. However, we first need to merge and commit our latest branch. What it the best way to correct the problems we are encountering? Would deleting all the merge info in the trunk and branch be a viable solution? No. I have done this but it does not resolve the error that I am getting above.

  Documentation says: The Grails team discourages the embedding of core application logic inside controllers, as it does not promote re-use and a clean separation of concerns. I have one API controller and a few Groovy classes in src/groovy folder. Those classes just implements my application logic so actions in API controller works in this way: //index page def index = { render new IndexApi().index(params) as JSON } I'm curious - is there any reason to move my application logic from plain groovy classes into services ?

The div "ScriptContainer" sits in front of the whole thing and when the mouse enters or leaves the functions work exactly as they should. But IE8 places the text in front of everything and then the functions do not work as i would like them to. "ChangeBackcolourOFF" gets called every time the mouse enters the text, which sits in front of everything and "ChangeBackcolourON" gets called every time the mouse enters the "Scriptcontainer" from the text. So i either need to figure out how to force the text to be placed behind the "Scriptcontainer" or some other solutions. I appreciate you answers

• Perl: Edit hyperlinks in nested tags that aren't on seperate lines

  I have an interesting problem. I wrote the following perl script to recursively loop through a directory and in all html files for img/script/a tags do the following: Convert the entire url to lowercase Replace spaces and %20 with underscores The script works great except when an image tag in wrapped with an anchor tag. Is there a way to modify the current script to also be able to manipulate the links for nested tags that are not on separate lines? • Error in jquery attribute selector and IE6-7

  Hi, I'm trying to implement a JQuery script to process some areas inside an image map. I'm using $('area[shape="poly"]') as a selector to obtain the areas I'm interested in. It is working fine in IE8 and Firefox, but it is not selecting the elements in IE6 or IE7. This is a test page that shows this problem. What I would like to do is when I enter text and click on the submit button of the main search form, the same text gets copied in all of the secondary search forms and all the submit buttons of the secondary search forms get automatically hit.   In this example I create three buttons 'one' 'two' 'three'. In JavaScript, variables inside for-loops seem to be 'static' in the C language sense. Is there some way to create separate variables for each click function, i.e. not using the same reference? • NO FBML is working in iframe in facebook using PHP (ie or ff or anywhere else!)

  I have tried for three days now and gotten nowhere on this.... I absolutely can not get any "fb:" code to render anything! I've tried the exact code in the sandbox and it works fine. I've read through every search result I could find and gotten nowhere... • Cross-Domain iframe communication

  I have an iframe being created on a page, and the page's domain is being explicitly set to 'xyz.com' but the iframe's domain is defaulting to 'dev.xyz.com', which is the actual domain i'm developing for. The problem is, when I try to access that iframe via iframe.contentWindow.document, it fails due to the difference in domain. I've tried setting the iframe's src to a file with document.domain = 'xyz.com' but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick... Any ideas?

• Reloading embed PDF in a DIV (empty Accrobat Reader error popup)

  Hello, I have a web application coded in C#/ASP.NET. The application basically exports a PDF file when the user click on Save. It then reloads a DIV, putting the EMBED (with the src pointing to the newly generated pdf file) in it.
