    - by Jason Fitzpatrick
If you’re a fan of the resurgence of highly stylized and atmospheric adventure games–such as Spirit, World of Goo, and the like–you’ll definitely want to check out this well executed, free, and more than a little bit charming browser-based game. The entire robot world went into a deep sleep and now, thanks to a freak lightning strike, one little robot has woken up. Your job, as that little robot, is to navigate the world of Little Wheel and help bring it back to life. • Basic Google Analytics Click Tracking and/or Overview

    - by Alan Storm
This is a really basic Google Analytics question. Apologies in advance if it's not appropriate here, but I've had a lot of luck on Stack Overflow and this seems like the best Stack Exchange site for a question like this. I'm trying to understand how Google Analytics goals work, or if they're the right feature to be using for my situation. Most of the documentation I find online refers to the old version of the UI, not the new one. I have a website, let's call is blog.example.com. This website drives traffic to an ecommerce store, let's call that store.example2.com. I want to get reports on which links from blog.example.com are being clicked through leading to store.example2.com. How do you do this in Google analytics? Are goals the right area to be looking? Do I setup the goals on store.example2.com or blog.example.com? Or both? Is there any canonical user guide (free or paid) that covers how this works? I'm a competent programmer, but it's years since I dealt with conversion tracking on any serious level, and we've progressed well beyond my frozen caveman pixel tracking knowledge. Thanks in advance

  • Analytics - Where do my drop offs go?

    - by BadCash
I have a website set up with Google Analytics (through the Wordpress plugin "Google Analytics for WordPress" by Joos de Valk). When I check out the visitors flow in Google Analytics, it shows something like this: (home) - 43% drop-offs /page-2/ - 10% drop-offs ... etc ... I have also set up events for external links. My main "goal" of the website is to drive traffic to my Android app on Google Play, so I have a couple of different links to that that are all set up as events. Everything seems to be working, my events show up when I go to Content - Events in Google Analytics. However, it seems to me that some percentage of the users that are reported as "drop-offs" in fact have clicked on one of the external links. But there's no info about the reason of those drop-offs in the Visitors flow-chart. I can of course check out each specific event category, event action and set "other" to Content/Page, which (I guess) shows the number of visitors who triggered a specific event on a specific page. It just seems like such a complicated way of going about this! So, is there a way to get a more detailed picture, including events, in the Visitors flow chart? Something like: (home) - 43% drop-offs Event Action: "Google Play"=50%, "Youtube"=10%, (not set)=40%

  • Unity3D - Android pause screen - double click issue

    - by user3666251
I made a pause script for the game im developing for android. I added the script to the GUITexture I created and placed on the top right side of the screen. The issue stands at the part where if the player clicks the pause button then clicks resume then he wants to pause the game again. When he clicks pause the second time the buttons dont show up unless he clicks again. This is the script : #pragma strict var paused = false; var isButtonVisible : boolean = true; function OnMouseDown(){ this.paused = !this.paused; Time.timeScale = 0; isButtonVisible = true; } function OnGUI(){ if ( isButtonVisible ) { if(this.paused){ if (GUI.Button(Rect(Screen.width/2-100,Screen.height/2+3,200,50),"Restart")){ Application.LoadLevel(Application.loadedLevel); Time.timeScale = 1; isButtonVisible = false; } if (GUI.Button(Rect(Screen.width/2-100,Screen.height/2-50,200,50),"Resume")){ Time.timeScale = 1; isButtonVisible = false; } // Insert the rest of the pause menu logic if (GUI.Button(Rect(Screen.width/2-100,Screen.height/2+56,200,50),"Main Menu")){ Application.LoadLevel ("MainMenu"); isButtonVisible = false; Time.timeScale = 1; } } } } Thank you.

  • Ubuntu stops letting wired or wireless mouse click through after random delay

    - by Jonathan Chan
I have a very confusing problem that renders Ubuntu near unusable. Whenever I try to use any wired or wireless mouse with my Ubuntu 10.10 install, clicks stop going through - often times, this blockage of clicks happens in less than a minute. Sometimes no clicks are accepted, other times, clicks are accepted in certain windows and blocked in others. The end result is the same, and I am forced to resort to using the keyboard to navigate.

  • How to track in Google Analytics registrations come from Google AdWords ads?

    - by automatix
I created a campaign in Google AdWords and some ads in it and gave them URLs like mydomain.tld/registration/?utm_campaign=mycampaing&ad=x mydomain.tld/registration/?utm_campaign=mycampaing&ad=y mydomain.tld/registration/?utm_campaign=mycampaing&ad=z All ads lead to the registration page. A registration is a visit of the page mydomain.tld/registration-complited/?user={ID} So I can track the registrations in Google Analytics. I just go to Behavior -> Site Content -> All Pages and filter the pages to registration-complited. But how can I see, how many and which users have registered, after they came from an ad of a campaign, e.g. utm_campaign? And how can I also track this for a sigle ad of the campaign, e.g. x?

  • Sortable Accordion Modified to Implement More On Click However New Levels Will Not Expand

    - by Tim Marshall
JS Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/JF7PD/ I've been doing extensive work on this and I've just able almost got it fully working. The reason why I am asking for help now is that I don't have a clue why my newly added accordion(s) do not expand upon being clicked. I've got a feeling it may be due to the newly added code as I was having problems using my code in the file so instead I looked at the source and copied the accordion level to be used and all appears to look fine apart from them not expanding. Thank you for any help in advanced, Best Regards, Tim

  • When tracking which elements were clicked e.target.id is sometimes empty [migrated]

    - by Ivan
I am trying to test the following JavaScript code, which is meant to keep track of the timing of user responses on a multiple choice survey: document.onclick = function(e) { var event = e || window.event; var target = e.target || e.srcElement; //time tracking var ClickTrackDate = new Date; var ClickData = ""; ClickData = target.id + "=" + ClickTrackDate.getUTCHours() + ":" + ClickTrackDate.getUTCMinutes() + ":" + ClickTrackDate.getUTCSeconds() +";"; document.getElementById("txtTest").value += ClickData; alert(target.id); // for testing } Usually target.id equals to the the id of the clicked element, as you would expect, but sometimes target.id is empty, seemingly at random, any ideas?

  • Detect click on Triangle and Circle buttons

    - by chr1s89
How can i detect clicks on a texture (will be a button in my game) that has a form of a triangle or circle. I know only the rectangle solution where u can use the positions + the width/height but this dont work for that because clicks will be detected at the transparent pixels. I heard of pixel-perfect collision is it the right way for this? It would be great if someone can give me a example for such a solution or other.

  • jquery click event handler is called twice for a checkbox

    - by Martin
I have a problem with the following code in an ASPX page: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('.test').click(function() { alert("click") }) }); </script> <asp:CheckBox runat="server" Text="Checkbox XYZ" CssClass="test" ID="cb1" /> In the browser (FF3.5 / IE8) I have the following problem: if I click the checkbox (the small square), it works as expected if I click the checkbox's text ("Checkbox XYZ"), then the click event is fired twice, and the alert is shown twice I guess this has to do with the way the checkbox is rendered to HTML, which is like this: <span class="test"> <input id="ctl00_c1_cb1" type="checkbox" name="ctl00$c1$cb1" checked="checked" /> <label for="ctl00_c1_cb1">Checkbox XYZ</label> </span> How do I correctly setup the click event handler to prevent it from being called twice?

  • InstallShield setup and Click-Once

    - by QQQ
Hi InstallShield 10 apparently can create an installer and integrate with click once, but this feature is not active in trial version. Anyway I tried to create a click once deployment by hand (using mage) and succeed with a sample wpf application, what I want to do is click once with an installShield setup.exe file, buy it seems that it's not a .net application and I can't use it for click once. Does anyone know how installShield manages this with it's click once feature? or how can I create click once with the regular setup.exe file. Thanks.
