    I have a MySQL database from which a view is created. Is is possible to add an auto-incrementing id for each row in the view? I tried CREATE ALGORITHM=UNDEFINED DEFINER=`database_name`@`%` SQL SECURITY DEFINER VIEW `MyView` AS set @i = 0; select @i:=@i+1 as `id` ... but that doesn't work in a View. Sorry, my SQL is weak, any help is appreciated.

Im assuming a good way of doing this is to grab the id = 1 row and split its values into separate rows in a new view.     I frequently upload CSV files to a MySQL db. It is very convenient to use LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE to upload the data, but I can't use this to create the table itself. As of now, the best method I have is to use PHP to get the field titles from the first row of the file and then put together a CREATE table query. Is there a more convenient way to do this?
