    I just got my free web hosting set up (trigoblocks.comuf.com), I connected via FileZilla FTP and uploaded my files. The error I get is "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/a3639879/public_html/header.php on line 1". Header.php line 1-2: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> I do not get this error while on localhost with XAMPP.

    I need to limit number of entities returned by a query to some certain value inside a JPA query (through JPQL). Particularly: select m from Manual m //constraint e.g. in sql (mysql syntax) I would do it like: select * from Manual limit 1 The only solution that comes up is simply to get all entities and then choose first one, which is out of the issue. Any ideas?

  • Is there a way to use rsync and exclude files greater than a certain size?

    I've checked out the man pages and did some searching but can't find info on ways to have rsync skip files greater than a certain size. We're doing rsync to an offline location and when someone puts a hug video file, the rsync jobs run into work hours. I've looked at the 'exclude' syntax and didn't see anything for excluding based on file size. Can I do it with rsync or should I look for other offline synching alternatives?

  • Why doesn't web browsers have built in validators?

    As far as I know there is no web browser with built in validators for HTML, CSS and Javascript. Developing web pages without validation is like using a compiler that doesn't do syntax analysis. Even Firefox with its excellent plugins aimed at developers like Firebug lacks plugins for CSS and Javascript validation. Wouldn't it be useful to have these plugins? Am I missing something?

    I'm working on an API library and I'd like to add a few warnings that would appear when another developers builds the app if an optional apikey is not included. It should be buildable w/o the key (since it's optional) so I can't just add a syntax error to force a build error. I know Xcode supports TODO and FIXME but those aren't really highlighted anywhere major. Any other thoughts on how to approach this?

    I am wondering how to write this query. I know this actual syntax is bogus, but it will help you understand what I am wanting. I need it in this format, because it is part of a much bigger query. SELECT distributor_id, COUNT(*) AS TOTAL, COUNT(*) WHERE level = 'exec', COUNT(*) WHERE level = 'personal' I need this all returned in one query.     Example: There is a matrix of data called VE There is a vector of string where the first element is the string VE. I need to indirectly call the string and be able to access data. For example if I need the 6th column of matrix VE then I want to do: Vector[1][,6] Essentially I need R to start reading those string as if they are the matrix names that are already in this page. I need this syntax to be dynamic because I am putting it in a loop.
