Im a little confused on how to use split when the columns are delimited by a space and -. i Figure once i do that i can use min() and max function. I have written a shell script to do the same here #!/bin/ksh awk '{print substr($5,2);}' data' > /data1 sort -n data1 > data2 tail -1 data2 head -1 data2 awk '{sum+=$1} END {print "average = ",sum/NR}' data2 Im just not sure how to do this in python.     I have two NSMutableArrays: NSMutableArray* currentMessages NSMutableArray* items I am trying to copy the contents of items into currentMessages as such: [self.currentMessages addObjectsFromArray:self.items]; When I am debugging self.items contains 30 objects. After this operation self.currentMessages contains 0 objects. Why is the copy not working?

  • Cakephp cache only caching one file per action

    Hi, I have a songs controller. Within the songs controller i have a 'view' action which get's passed an id, eg /songs/view/1 /songs/view/5 /songs/view/500 When a user visits /songs/view/1, the file is cached correctly and saved as 'songs_view_1.php' Now for the problem, when a user hit's a different song, eg /songs/view/2, the 'songs_view_1.php' is deleted and '/songs/view/2.php' is in it's place. The cahced files will stay there for a day if I don't visit a different url, and visiting a different action will not affect any other action's cached file. I've tried replacing my 'cake' folder (from 1.2 to 1.2.6), but that didn't do anything. I get no error messages at all and nothing in the logs. Here's my code, I've tried umpteen variations all ending up with the same problem. var $helpers = array('Cache'); var $cacheAction = array( 'view/' => '+1 day' ); Any ideas? EDIT: After some more testing, this code var $cacheAction = array( 'view/1' => "1 day", 'view/2' => "1 day" ); will cache 'view/1' or 'view/2', but delete the previous page as before. If I visit '/view/3' it will delete the cached page from before... sigh EDIT: Having the same issue on another server with same code...

  • Allocated Private Bytes keeps going up in one computer but not the other

    OK, this may sound weird, but here goes. There are 2 computers, A (Pentium D) and B (Quad Core) with almost the same amount of RAM. If I run the same code on both computers, the allocated private bytes in A never goes down resulting in a crash later on. In B it looks like the private bytes is constantly deallocated and everything looks fine. In both computers, the working set is deallocated and allocated similarly. Could this be an issue with manifests or DLLs (system)? I'm clueless. Note: I observed the utilized memory with Process Explorer.

  • Lightcore IoC is returning the same instance when it should give a new one

But it fails with "NUnit.Framework.AssertionException: Contained objects are equal" which indicates that the objects that should be transient, are not. I've tried variations with placing the id on the li, on the ul and manipulating the script for these selectors to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

    At least once per day i have the following situation: A: This line should also replace line X ... X: This is line should be replaced I believe that I don't perform that task efficiently. What I do: Go to line A: AG Yank line A: yy Go to line X: XG Paste line A: P Move to old line: j Delete old line: dd This has the additional disadvantage that line X is now in the default register, which is annoying if I find another line that should be replaced with A. Yanking to and pasting from an additional register ("ayy, "aP) makes this simple task even less efficient. My Questions: Did I miss a built-in Vim command to replace a line yanked before? If not, how can I bind my own command that leaves (or restores) the yanked line in the default register?

    I have two zip archives. Say, set1 has 10 csv files created using Mac OS X 10.5.8 compress option, and set2 has 4 csv files similarly created. I want to take the 4 files from zipped archive set2 and add them to list of files in archive set1. Is there a way I can do that? I tried the following in Terminal: zip set1.zip set2.zip This adds the whole archive set2.zip to set1.zip, i.e., in set1.zip now I have: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, set2.zip What I instead want is: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, file11.csv, ..., file14.csv where, set2.zip is the archive containing file11.csv, ..., file14.csv.     Hi fellow programmers, I've been mocking about with the following bit of dirty support-code for a pylons app, which works fine in a python-shell, a separate python file, or when running in paster. Now, we've put the application on-line through mod_wsgi and apache and this specific piece of code stopped working completely. First off, the code itself: def fixStyle(self, text): t = text.replace('<p>', '<p style="%s">' % (STYLEDEF,)) t = t.replace('class="wide"', 'style="width: 125px; %s"' % (DEFSTYLE,)) t = t.replace('<td>', '<td style="%s">' % (STYLEDEF,)) t = t.replace('<a ', '<a style="%s" ' % (LINKSTYLE,)) return t It seems pretty straightforward, and to be honest, it is. So what happens when I put a piece of text in it, for example: <table><tr><td>Test!</td></tr></table> The output should be: <table><tr><td style="stuff-from-styledef">Test!</td></tr></table> and it is, on most systems. When we put it through the app on Apache/mod_wsgi though, the following happens: <table><tr><td>Test!</td></tr></table> You guessed it. I'm currently at a loss and have no idea where to go next. Googling doesn't really work out, so I'm hoping on you guys to help out and perhaps point out a fundamental issue with using whatever-is-causing-this. If anything is missing I'll edit it in.

The current .htaccess force downloads all files, images etc. <FilesMatch "\.(?i:doc|odf|pdf|rtf|txt|png|jpg|jpeg|mp3|mp4|wav|wmv|gif|bmp|avi|mts)$"> Header set Content-Disposition attachment </FilesMatch> What i am trying to do is make sure people cannot hot link the files. So i was thinking, is there a was i can block all other referrers to the domain that stores the files (it's an IP) apart from the main website (a domain). Thanks!

    This is my situation: I am constructing an ad-like application in Django and Mysql. I am using a flexible-ad approach where we have: a table with ad categories (several categories such as home, furniture, cars, etc.) id_category name a table with details for the ad categories (home: area, squared meters. car: seats, color.) id_detail id_category (the categ the detail describes) name type (boolean, char, int, long, etc.) the ad table (i am selling a house. i am selling a car.) id_ad id_category text date a table where i plan to consolidate the details of the ads (home: A-area, 500 sq-meters. car: 5 seats, red.) id_detail_ad id_ad id_detail value Is this possible? Can I have a table of details for all the ads, even if details include numbers, texts, booleans, etc? Or would I have to save them all as text and then interpret them via code accordingly?   • Simplest one-to-many Map case in Hibernate doesn't work in MySQL

    I think this is pretty much the simplest case for mapping a Map (that is, an associative array) of entities. @Entity @AccessType("field") class Member { @Id protected long id; @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch=FetchType.LAZY) @MapKey(name = "name") private Map<String, Preferences> preferences = new HashMap<String, Preferences>(); } @Entity @AccessType("field") class Preferences { @ManyToOne Member member; @Column String name; @Column String value; } This looks like it should work, and it does, in HSQL. In MySQL, there are two problems: First, it insists that there be a table called Members_Preferences, as if this were a many-to-many relationship. Second, it just doesn't work: since it never populates Members_Preferences, it never retrieves the Preferences. [My theory is, since I only use HSQL in memory-mode, it automatically creates Members_Preferences and never really has to retrieve the preferences map. In any case, either Hibernate has a huge bug in it or I'm doing something wrong.]

  • Python - List and Loop in one def

    I'm trying to get the def wfsc_pod1 and wfsc_ip into the same def. I'm not quite sure how to approach the problem. I want wfsc_pod1 to display all the information for name, subnet and gateway. Then wfsc_ip shows the ip addresses below it. I also get a None value when I run it as it. Not sure why.
