  I just set-up ubuntu 9.10 on my computer, and I'm trying to figure out how to avoid typing a password on every action that requires sudo privileges. I just want to type a password once on login and have all rights throughout my session. Also, I'd rather not login as root, but using my own username and settings. Thanks.

Here is my setup: X0 - STAFF network | X2 - AGENT network | X4 - Wireless AP (for multiple SSID) Okay, basically I'm going to set up the wireless AP to be broadcasting 2 SSID, STAFF-WIFI and AGENT WIFI. When connected to STAFF-WIFI, the users will be connected to the STAFF network, while connected to the AGENT WIFI, the users will be connected to the AGENT network.   I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but when I compile something on linux using the usual "./configure, make, make install" steps, how can I install the programs on other servers without having to recompile? I am trying to avoid having to install the build tools on production servers, however I need the latest version of a particular piece of software, so using RPMs isn't an option in this case.   Recently I have implement apache 2.4.1 in my web server.The problem is the rotate logs seems to be not functioning.Here is the output in the error_log: [core:error] [pid 13060:tid 47015847145408] (2)No such file or directory The command line that i have put in the httpd.conf are such as below: CustomLog "|bin/rotatelogs -l /var/log/logfile.%Y.%m.%d 86400" combined Is there anything wrong here with my setup?For your information I've already tested it in apache 2.2.22 and everythings is perfectly working. The scenario is this: we need to setup two custom DNS servers to use on our company's computers so that we can filter DNS requests for certain domains and return custom IPs and forward other requests to our ISPs DNS servers.
