If not, register them. $fb_user = $facebook->api('/' . $fb_uid); I then get their email address using $fb_user['email'] and facebook_id and store in the database as a means to log them in the future Sometimes $fb_uid returns false even though the person is logged in using facebook ... I think it is because the access token expires. how can I change this code to incorporate the extended access token to log in the user to my site? offline access token is deprecated, so I need to use the extended access token.

    I just installed Nginx 1.2.4 and PHP 5.4.0 (from svn) (php fpm). CentOs 5.8 64 The problem I have is that PHP crashes the moment I run any social oAuth scripts. I have tried to log into Facebook, Twitter and Google with various scripts that I know work on my other servers. When I load the scripts I get a 502 error from Nginx. And I find these errors in the log: in php-fpm log: WARNING: [pool www] child 23821 exited on signal 11 (SIGSEGV) after 1132.862984 seconds from start in nginx log: ERROR: recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream From what I can see, it goes wrong when PHP tries to make a request to any of the oAuth servers. https://github.com/mahmudahsan/PHP-SDK-3.0---Graph-API-base-Facebook-Connect-Tutorial-Source for example is one of the scripts that works perfectly on my other machines, but causes PHP to crash. I found: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3616191/nginx-php-fpm-502-bad-gateway which seems to be a similar problem, but I cannot find a way to solve it. +++ UPDATE +++ Now I have been doing some debugging in 1 of the scripts that is playing up. If you go to line 808 http://pastebin.com/gSnzRtXb it runs the curl_exec() command. When that is ran, it crashes. If i echo'test';exit; just above that line, it echo's correctly, if i do it below that line, php crashes. Which means it's that line 808 which causes the crash. So I made a very simple script to do some testing: http://pastebin.com/Rshnyhcm which also uses curl_exec, but that runs just fine. So I started to dig deeper into that query from the facebook script to see what values the $opts array contains from line 806.     I see that Facebook's Open Graph asks you to have a meta property "og:title". Why don't they just use the HTML title tag? In my PHP code I started going through all page types and coding the og:title property. Then I realized, why don't I just set the og:title to the HTML page title? It would probably save me a lot of work... Am I missing something? In which cases would we want the og:title to be different?

    i need ideas to solve this: I have a entire website in PHP (5.2) in a PHP "shared server", only i can use apache+PHP, CGI & NodeJS, no memcached, redis or another software. And i need to comunicate the PHP and the NodeJS Script. My first approach is using socket connection, creating in NodeJS a socket listener and connect to it witch PHP, and then, send commands, whait for response, and close connection (and end PHP Script). To the other side, i can call PHP script via ¿httprequest? ¿or using sockets again? The problem of using sockets fron Node to PHP, i CANT leave PHP script runing with set_time_limit(0) because the fuc... server, need to "call" PHP for another way. The NodeJS and Apache + PHP are in the same machine, i need to make the code for the fast response time (sockets better than web-calls). Better ideas or other solutions? thanks!

  • Problem with pre-beta sdk - even after reinstalling SDK 3.2

    I'm trying to upload the binary for a new app, but always get this errormessage: "The binary you uploaded was invalid. A pre-release beta version of the SDK was used to build the application." I know several people have asked a similar question, but I've tried all suggestions from the answers there without success. I used the XCode 4.0 beta 3 during development, and I've tried using it to compile for earlier releases (3.0, 3.1.3, 3.2 etc...) I've also tried downgrading to SDK 3.2, as well as removing 4.0 beta 3 and then installing SDK 3.2 as a fresh install. It seems to me that there might be some parameter in the "Edit Project Settings" that is sticking from the use of 4.0 beta 3, but I've tried to identify them without success. My last option seem to be a complete reinstall of both OS and SDK. Is there something else I might try first?

  • PHP shared extensions on Linux

    I am running Ubuntu Server 12.04 and prefer to compile PHP myself as opposed to installing it using apt-get. PHP is running as PHP-FPM. When compiling extensions, I can set it to be compiled as a shared extension using something like --with-bcmath=shared and so on. Are there any benefits to compiling the extensions as shared? I also noticed that the extensions are compiled into a pretty convoluted folder. On my system (my php prefix is /usr/local/php-5.4.9) the extensions end up in /usr/local/php-5.4.9/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525. Is there a global way to set a folder so that all shared extensions will be compiled in there? I understand that I can do something like --with-foobar=shared,/usr/local/foobar/ but having to set the extension folder for each shared extension is inefficient and error-prone.

    We're running a fairly large site using nginx and PHP-FPM and we're getting a lot of errors as the site load is quite high. We're getting "connect() failed (110: Connection timed out) while connecting to upstream"...upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000" Here's my config file for PHP-FPM.     I have a URL like http://newsymfony.dev/app_dev.php/_profiler/5080653d965eb. I would like to send this script to PHP-FPM. But if I do app_dev.php/_profiler/5080653d965eb I get a 404 and the request never gets sent to FPM. How can I alter my ProxyPassMatch to pass anything with .php in the URL? I'm trying to do this with Symfony, but I'm pretty sure it applies to everything.

  • Can't seem to install the correct version of PHP, using apt-get install

    I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 LTS server, it's a new install on a VPS box from MediaTemple (their ve server). I'm trying to install PHP 5.4.3 on this box, but I'm having a common problem not matter what version I get. I'm trying to get the php-cgi process, so I do the command apt-get install php-cgi and that installs, but does not provide me with the php-cgi executable. I need this so that I can run php-cgi -b 127.0.0.1:9000 and have it has a FastCGI process for my nginx install. Any idea what I can do to get this to work, bonus points if you can get this to work with PHP 5.4.3, because all I can seem to install is PHP 5.3.5.

    I have a CentOS server running WHM that uses FastCGI (mod_fcgid) running PHP 5.2.17 on Apache 2.0 with SuExec. When I start Apache it begins fine and serving requests. If I run ps on the terminal as root I see the php processes and they are owned by their httpd parent processes. After X amount of time - different from time to time, not much longer than a few hours typically - the server will begin spawning PHP jobs owned by the init process ID (1) Example of good listing: 12918 18254 /usr/bin/php 12918 18257 /usr/bin/php 12918 18293 /usr/bin/php 12918 18545 /usr/bin/php 12918 18546 /usr/bin/php 12918 19016 /usr/bin/php 12918 19948 /usr/bin/php Then later something like: 1 6800 /usr/bin/php 1 6801 /usr/bin/php 1 7036 /usr/bin/php 1 8788 /usr/bin/php 1 10488 /usr/bin/php 1 10571 /usr/bin/php 1 10572 /usr/bin/php The php processes running owned by (1) never get cleaned up. Why would these processes be running? We don't use setsid or anything beyond basic PHP in the code this server is running. Cheers & Thanks

    I am trying to integrate Facebook to my Android app for social post. I have downloaded latest Facebook sdk from here and apply all setup require to post to facebook. Now i can post to facebook. But problem is that, when i run sample program from facebook sdk, a browser like page is open and user have to enter message himself there. but i dont want this page to showed up. i want a fixed message to post directly without opening facebook dialog box. But if there is noway to avoid this, please tell me how can i fixed certain part of message so that user can't modified it.     I've been wanting to try out Nginx with PHP-FPM. I installed Nginx via Macports. I read that PHP 5.3.3 includes PHP-FPM, however, the PHP 5.3.3 configuration on Macports does not enable it. Can anyone explain or refer me to a tutorial on how to install PHP 5.3.3 with PHP-FPM for Nginx on OS X? I'd want to place it in /opt where Nginx is to keep it away from the PHP I'm using with Apache in /usr/local. I'm new to command-line stuff. Pardon my ignorance.

    I'm using the PHP-SDK for Facebook and got the example to work on my localhost. However, when building a script on a server the script stays quite busy with redirecting from my script to facebook and back. (Error: Fout 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS):) It seems that many more people have got this issue (here, here, here, here). Though, I can't find a clear answer what goes wrong.   • How to get Facebook-Feeds in Trillian without connecting to Facebook-Chat?

    I installed the trial of Trillian 5.0 Build 22 (I don't know if the version 4 Astra is any different). I successfully added my Facebook account so I can see my facebook news on Trillian and works great. The problem is that I don't want to use the Facebook-chat, and if I disconnect the Facebook-chat the rest of the facebook stuff (news, events, groups, request) also disappears. I tried by setting the Facebook status to Away; and I'm not sure if someone can chat with me if I choose that; but anyway I still have the contacts list full of people I don't want. EDIT: Maybe I wasn't clear enough about the Facebook part. And that might be why some people fell this is off-topic. But when I talk about Facebook in this question, I'm not referring to the Facebook site at any point. I'm mean the Facebook plugin of Trillian (and it's not an user plugin; it's a built-in plugin).

    I have created an app, and now i want to post a message on one of my friends wall with use of the new Graph API. Is this do-able? I am already using oAuth and the Graph-api to get a list of all my friends. The API at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api tells me to cURL https://graph.facebook.com/[userid]/feed to read the feed, but it also tells me howto post a message: curl -F 'access_token=[...]' -F 'message=Hello, Arjun. I like this new API.' https://graph.facebook.com/arjun/feed Ofcourse this doesn't work! And I can't find out why.. I have separated 4 GB of RAM for PHP, now according to the calculations 40 Child Processes via one socket, and I have total of 3 sockets in my Nginx and FPM configuration. My doubt is about the amount of memory consumption by those child processes. I tried to create high load in the server via httperf hog and siege but I could not calculate the accurate memory usage by all the PHP processes (other processes like MySQL and Nginx were also running). And all the sockets were in use, So, I seek guidance from anyone who have done this before or know how exactly the pm.max_children in PHP Works. Since I have 3 Pools/sockets with 40 child processes does that count to 3 x 40 x 40 Mb of Memory usage ? or it is just like 40 Max. Child processes sharing 3 sockets (and the total memory usage is just 40 x 40 Mb) ?

  • Facebook Connect Post Feed from iPhone App without preview Broken!? URGENT!

    Hello All: I just downloaded the latest FBConnect build, popped in my keys and getting a mysterious hanging error only when I try to post a feed without previewing (setting preview to zero). The activity indicated disappears and the blank dialog window just hangs there. (This mirrors what I was getting on the app I was developing). If I try to post a feed with preview it works; set preview to zero it just hangs. Again; thats with the sample project "Publish Feed" button. Hitting getting permission button and then Publish Feed does same thing...... Other Developers have confirmed seeing this too...Apps that have previously had working feed posts have been broken for weeks. Discussions on facebook connect forum seem to be related to this.
