  • Add new element in existing object

    - by user3094292
    I am using node.js. I have to add new elements in the object before to send a response to client. user.getMatch(req.user, function(err, match){ for( k=0; k<match.length; k++){ var userId = { id : match[k].match_id }; var user = new User(userId); console.log('k: ' + k); user.getUserInfo(function(err2, info){ console.log('k here: ' + k); if(info){ match[k].foo = info[0].foo; } }); } var response = { data : match }; res.json(response); }); I want to add an element "foo" from user.getUserInfo to the object "match" that was returned by user.getMatch. And then send all the data as response to the client. But it got an error because "k" inside of user.getUserInfo is not equal to the "k" outside. I do not know why the both "k" are not equal. And how will I send a response to the client after performing the loop. Thanks for your help!

  • Getting all selected checkboxes in an array

    - by Click Upvote
    So I have these checkboxes: <input type="checkbox" name="type" value="4" /> <input type="checkbox" name="type" value="3" /> <input type="checkbox" name="type" value="1" /> <input type="checkbox" name="type" value="5" /> And so on. There are about 6 of them and are hand-coded (i.e not fetched from a db) so they are likely to remain the same for a while. My question is how I can get them all in an array (in javascript), so I can use them while making an AJAX $.post request using Jquery. Any thoughts? Edit: I would only want the selected checkboxes to be added to the array

  • All numbers that are NOT in an array under 1000

    - by baklap
    Hi, I've got this programming problem. I have number for example 1000. Now I have a number in an array, like 999. Now I need to display all numbers that are NOT in the array but are 1 to 1000; The next requirement is essential: It has to be displayed in a way that it's easy to oversee. So I was thinking, lets show: 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 900 910 920 930 940 950 960 970 980 990 991 992 993 994 995 996 997 998 1000 What is the best way to start programming this?

  • How do you send an array as part of an (jquery) ajax request

    - by Ankur
    I tried to send an array as part of an ajax request like this: var query = []; // in between I add some values to 'query' $.ajax({ url: "MyServlet", data: query, dataType: "json", success: function(noOfResults) { alert(noOfResults); } }); } I wanted to see what I get back in the servlet, so I used this line: System.out.println(request.getParameterMap().toString()); Which returned {} suggesting an empty map. Firebug tells me I am getting a 400 bad request error If I send a queryString like attribute=value as the 'data' then everything works fine, so it has to do with not being able to send an array as is. What do I have to do to get that data into the servlet for further processing. I don't want to pull it out and turn it into a queryString in the JS if I can avoid it. EDIT: I used the .serializeArray() (jQuery) function before sending the data. I don't get the 400 but nothing useful is being sent through.

  • Initializing a array after declaration

    - by robUK
    Hello, gcc 4.4.3 c89 I have the following code as a sample of what I am trying to do. I don't know the actual size of the array, until I enter the function. However, I don't think I can set the array size after I have declared it. I need it global as some other functions will need to access the device names. Many thanks for any suggestions, /* global */ char *devices_names[]; void fill_devices(size_t num_devices) { devices_names[num_devices]; /* start filling */ }

    - by DaveDev
    I have a method that takes a List<int>, which is a list of IDs. The source of my data is a Dictionary<int, string> where the integers are what I want a list of. Is there a better way to get this than the following code? var list = new List<int>(); foreach (var kvp in myDictionary) { list.Add(pair.Key); } ExecuteMyMethod(list);

  • Trying to pass variable from 1 Function to Another to Put in Array within same Model

    - by Jason Shultz
    Ok, that sounds really confusing. What I’m trying to do is this. I’ve got a function that uploads/resizes photos to the server. It stores the paths in the DB. I need to attach the id of the business to the row of photos. Here’s what I have so far: function get_bus_id() { $userid = $this->tank_auth->get_user_id(); $this->db->select('b.id'); $this->db->from ('business AS b'); $this->db->where ('b.userid', $userid); $query = $this->db->get(); if ($query->num_rows() > 0) { return $query->result_array(); } That get’s the id of the business. Then, I have my upload function which is below: /* Uploads images to the site and adds to the database. */ function do_upload() { $config = array( 'allowed_types' => 'jpg|jpeg|gif|png', 'upload_path' => $this->gallery_path, 'max_size' => 2000 ); $this->load->library('upload', $config); $this->upload->do_upload(); $image_data = $this->upload->data(); $config = array( 'source_image' => $image_data['full_path'], 'new_image' => $this->gallery_path . '/thumbs', 'maintain_ratio' => true, 'width' => 150, 'height' => 100 ); $this->load->library('image_lib', $config); $this->image_lib->resize(); $upload = $this->upload->data(); $bus_id = $this->get_bus_id(); $data = array( 'userid' => $this->tank_auth->get_user_id(), 'thumb' => $this->gallery_path . '/thumbs/' . $upload['file_name'], 'fullsize' => $upload['full_path'], 'busid'=> $bus_id['query'], ); echo var_dump($bus_id); $this->db->insert('photos', $data); } The problem I’m getting is the following: A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Notice Message: Undefined index: id Filename: models/gallery_model.php Line Number: 48 I’ve tried all sorts of ways to get the value over, but my limited knowledge keeps getting in the way. Any help would be really appreciated.

  • Pushing an array into a vector.

    - by Sunil
    I've a 2d array, say A[2][3]={{1,2,3},{4,5,6}}; and I want to push it into a 2D vector(vector of vectors). I know you can use two for loops to push the elements one by on on to the first vector and then push that into the another vector which makes it 2d vector but I was wondering if there is any way in C++ to do this in a single loop. For example I want to do something like this: myvector.pushback(A[1]+3); // where 3 is the size or number of columns in the array. I understand this is not a correct code but I put this just for understanding purpose. Thanks

  • Asp.net static object behaviour

    - by Circadian
    I have the following class as part of an asp.net application. public sealed class SomeClass { private static string appId = Guid.NewGuid().ToString(); public static ReadSomethingFromDb(){} public static WriteSomethingToDb(){} } There are more than one application instances in the same application pool, and they all access the same database. I want the operations performed by the above class to be uniquely tied to the instance that performed it, hence the use of the appId. So adding a record to the database would for example contain a name, address and appId. This has been simplified for discussion purposes. Assuming that I have two instances running at mysite.a and mysite.b the above class would generate two different guids. My problem is that mysite.a sometimes produces more than one guid, which is unexpected. Thank you in advance

  • C++: What is the size of an object of an empty class?

    - by Ashwin
    I was wondering what could be the size of an object of an empty class. It surely could not be 0 bytes since it should be possible to reference and point to it like any other object. But, how big is such an object? I used this small program: #include <iostream> using namespace std; class Empty {}; int main() { Empty e; cerr << sizeof(e) << endl; return 0; } The output I got on both Visual C++ and Cygwin-g++ compilers was 1 byte! This was a little surprising to me since I was expecting it to be of the size of the machine word (32 bits or 4 bytes). Can anyone explain why the size of 1 byte? Why not 4 bytes? Is this dependent on compiler or the machine too? Also, can someone give a more cogent reason for why an empty class object will not be of size 0 bytes?

  • Flex - Use Variables for Object Attribute Names

    - by Immanuel
    How do you use variables to access Object attributes? Suppose I have an Object declared as follows, var obj:Object = new Object; obj.Name = "MyName"; obj.Age = "10"; How would i do something like this, var fieldName:String = "Name"; var fieldAge:String = "Age"; var Name_Age:String = obj.fieldName + " ," + obj.fieldAge; The code above treats 'fieldName' and 'fieldAge' as attribute name itself. I want to treat the same as a variable, and map the value associated with the variable as the Object attribute name.

  • Creating CFArray from MySQL Result Array

    - by Andrew
    Is there an easy way to dump an array returned from mysql_fetch_row into a CFArray? (part of the PHP implementation of CFPropertyList) I'm bummed by the lack of documentation on CFPropertyList for PHP. Iterating through each item in the array seems inefficient. I'm open to using a different mysql_fetch_... command. I'd like to just say: $NewArray = new CFArray( $ResultArray ) But that deosn't seem to work. This is my current code: $plist = new CFPropertyList(); $ResultRow = mysqli_fetch_row( $result ); $plist-add( $TableRow = new CFArray() ); foreach ( $ResultRow as $Item ){ $TableRow-add( new CFString( $Item ) ); }
