    - by max

Any help in terms of code will be highly appreciated..thanks max class RecThread extends Thread { public void run() { recFile = new File("recorded_track.wav"); // Output file type AudioFileFormat.Type fileType = null; fileType = AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE; // if rcOn =1 thread is alive int rcOn; try { // starts recording targetDataLine.open(audioFormat); targetDataLine.start(); AudioSystem.write(new AudioInputStream(targetDataLine), fileType, recFile); if (RecThread.isAlive() == true) { rcOn =1; } else { rcOn =0; } } catch (Exception e) { showException(e); } // update actions recAction.setEnabled(true); stopRecAction.setEnabled(false); } }

  • how can I "force" a branch upon the trunk, in the case I can't "reintegrate"?

    - by davka
We created a branch from the trunk on which a major refactoring was done. Meanwhile, the trunk advanced a few revisions with some fixes. We don't want these changes on the branch, so we don't want to "catch-up" merge the trunk to the branch, because we don't want to mix the old and new code. But without this I can't reintegrate the branch back to the trunk. Is there a way to impose the branch on the trunk "as-is"? (an idea I considered is to undo ("reverse-merge") the trunk back to the revision where the branch started, and then it is safe to merge it on branch - nothing should happen. Then I can reintegrate. What do you think?) thanks!

  • Importing libraries in eclipse programmatically

    - by Krt_Malta
Hi, Is there a way I could put a library (Jar file) into an Eclipse project programatically? Up to now I've managed to do an external reference to it programatically using IPath path = new Path("C:\\Hello\\jtwitter.jar"); libraries.add(JavaCore.newLibraryEntry(path, null, null)); //add libs to project class path try { javaProject.setRawClasspath(libraries.toArray(new IClasspathEntry[libraries.size()]), null); } catch (JavaModelException e1) { e1.printStackTrace(); } } however I'd like to copy the jtwitter file to the project folder programatically so I could reference it as jtwitter.jar only. Can this be done please? Thanks a lot and regards, Krt_Malta

  • How to avoid lost calls to an external JS file before loading it.

    - by David
Hi, My issue is that multiple websites are going to include my JS file and when calling something like this: <script src="..."></script> hello.say("yay"); there going to be a race issue so sometimes it could make it sometimes not. i know that i can solve that easily by putting every function in a window.onload but that wouldn't be clean as i've seen other websites magically solve that like google analytics: .. Calling google analytics JS.. <script type="text/javascript"> try{ var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxx-x"); <-- this an object ! pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {} </script> How to do that?

  • How to debug ConcurrentModificationException?

    - by Dani
I encountered ConcurrentModificationException and by looking at it I can't see the reason why it's happening; the area throwing the exception and all the places modifying the collection are surrounded by synchronized (this.locks.get(id)) { ... } // locks is a HashMap<String, Object>; I tried to catch the the pesky thread but all I could nail (by setting a breakpoint in the exception) is that the throwing thread owns the monitor while the other thread (there are two threads in the program) sleeps. How should I proceed? What do you usually do when you encounter similar threading issues?

  • Paypal payments verify

    - by user2800899
(sorry for my english). I have implemented Paypal sdk for android, it works fine! But maybe for my english I don´t understand what i have to do here: @Override protected void onActivityResult (int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { if (resultCode == Activity.RESULT_OK) { PaymentConfirmation confirm = data.getParcelableExtra(PaymentActivity.EXTRA_RESULT_CONFIRMATION); if (confirm != null) { try { Log.i("paymentExample", confirm.toJSONObject().toString(4)); // TODO: send 'confirm' to your server for verification. // see https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/integration/mobile/verify-mobile-payment/ // for more details. } catch (JSONException e) { Toast.makeText(this, "Ha ocurrido un error, inténtelo de nuevo en unos instantes", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); IrActivityAnterior(); } } } I have read about it but I don´t know if I need to send a proof of payment to the person who has bought my app or if I only need to get this proof and save it. And the other question is how can I verify it? What steps I need to follow?? Thank you!!

  • How can I determine new & previous cell value on SheetChange event in Excel?

    - by Falco Foxburr
I have some special cells in my Excel workbooks which are managed by my Excel Add-in. I want to prevent users from changing content of those cells, but I also want to know, what value users wanted to enter to those cells. On the SheetChange event I can check what users entered to my special cells, but how do I determine the PREVIOUS value in those cells and REVERT user changes? It is not a solution for me. If I lock cell in Excel, it becomes read-only - user can not even try to enter anything to this cell - Excel popups warning dialog in this case. My problem is that I want to catch what user entered to my cell, do something with this value, and then revert cell content to original value.

  • Line breaks in XML are ignored by the SAX Parser

    - by Siddharth Iyer
I am parsing an XML with some CData that contains line breaks. The parser ignores these line breaks. I am trying to figure out a way to catch these newlines in the characters() method and replace them with a break tag for display purposes. I have tried almost everything under the sun and have been scouring stackoverflow for the past 3 hours. I tried every combination of replacing "\n", "\r\n" and so on with a break tag in the characters() method of the parser. I am absolutely helpless right about now.... and would sincerely appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!!!

  • Redirect to prevent dup submission...but then you loose existing data

    - by coffeeaddict
Here's the scenario User is on your checkout.aspx page Somewhere in the process, when clicking the pay button, you redirect the user to an intermediate page (before the confirmation page) to do some other logic. That intermediate page performs whatever logic based on a querystring flag you sent with the redirect from the checkout page This intermediate page also serves as an error page. So if any logic in the intermediatePage.aspx.cs fails I'm setting a message to be displayed on this page to the user If I refresh, that querystring value is still in the url..hence when it hits my Page_Load again, then the server-side logic is called & run again and I don't want this to happen The avoid this behavior/problem, the logical next step is to do a redirect back to the same page if they refresh (not sure how you'd catch that) to get rid of that querystring But when you redirect back to the same page your error message is gone, lost in the redirect therefore you end up showing them the same page but all values for the error message are now gone I do not want to solve this with Javascript either. I am not sure the best way to handle this.

  • Rails: Generic form actions, cancel link losing `:back` on validation failure

    - by Patrick Connor
I am trying to create a generic set of Submit, Cancel, and Destroy actions for forms. At this point, it appears that everything is working, except that I lose :back functionality then a form reloads due to validation errors. Is there a way to catch the fact that validation has failed, and in that case, keep the request.env['HTTP_REFERER'] or :back value the same without having to edit every controller? = simple_form_for @announcement do |f| = f.error_notification = f.input :message = f.input :starts_at = f.input :ends_at #submit = f.button :submit = "or " = link_to("cancel", url_for(:back)) .right - if !f.object.new_record? - resource = (f.object.class.name).downcase = link_to "destroy", url_for(:action => 'destroy'), :confirm => "Are you sure that you want to delete this #{resource}?", :method => :delete .clear .non_input #post_back_msg #indicator.inline = image_tag "indicator.gif" .inline = "Please wait..." .non_input

  • SWIG: Throwing exceptions from Python to C++

    - by wheaties
We've got an interface we've defined in C++ (abstract class, all functions pure virtual) which will be extended in Python. To overcome the cross-language polymorphism issues we're planning on using SWIG directors. I've read how to catch exceptions thrown from C++ code in our Python code here, here, here, and even on SO. It's fairly straight forward and I'm not expecting issues with handling our library's own exceptions. What I'd like to know and can't seem to find in the documentation is how to have our Python implementation of the extended C++ interface throw those C++ exceptions in a way that makes them visible to the C++ code. We could make small functions within the *.i files such that each function throws our exceptions: void throw_myException(){ throw MyException; } but I'm wondering how it will interact with the Python code. Anyone have any experience with throwing C++ exceptions from Python code?

  • ' \r ' vs ' \n ' in C

    - by MCP
I'm writing a function that basically waits for the user to hit "enter" and then does something. What I've found that works when testing is the below: #include <stdio.h> int main() { int x = getc(stdin); if (x == '\n') { printf("carriage return"); printf("\n"); } else { printf("missed it"); printf("\n"); } } The question I have, and what I tried at first was to do: "if (x == '\r')" but in testing, the program didn't catch me hitting enter. The '\n' seems to correspond to me hitting enter from the console. Can someone explain the difference? Also, to verify, writing it as "if... == "\n"" would mean the character string literal? Ie the user would literally have to enter "\n" from the console, correct? Thanks!

  • @Intertceptors does not work for web bean for JSF page.

    - by Drevlyanin
@Named @ConversationScoped @Interceptors(MyInterceptor.class) public class BeanWeb implements Serializable { public String methodThrowException throws Exception() { throws new Exception(); } } public class MyInterceptor { @AroundInvoke public Object intercept(InvocationContext ic) throws Exception { try { return ic.proceed(); } catch (Exception e) { return null; } } } For @Stateless beans interceptor works, but for the BeanWeb interceptor does not work. And we have never entered into "intercept" method. Why is this happening? How could intercept method calls in BeanWeb? P.S.: All this spin under Glassfish 3.x.

  • Enter a letter when prompted by another command

    - by kij
Hi all, I'm trying to automate the installation and deployement of an application. To do it, i have a shell script with the following instructions: /usr/local/bin/amf install -u $1 -p $2 $localTarget where $1, $2 and $localTarget are options for the command named 'amf'. The problem is that the 'amf' command make severall instructions and ask the user to enter a letter during those instructions (to confirm the installation). At the moment, i can't bypass or modify the behaviour of the 'amf' command, so my question is: How can i catch this behaviour and/or automatically enter a letter in my script. This behaviour currently make my script not working, because the 'amf instal...' instruction is followed by another command to start my application. But as the install failed, the application can't start. Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards. Kij.

  • Creating a PHP web page that enables you to reboot the server in Linux?

    - by Stuart
I want to create a web page that allows the user to initiate a reboot on the linux server. Obviously this would only be avaliable for system admins and would also be controlled by using iptables. Below is a sample of code that I was thinking of using but I wanted to know if there is another way to do this and how also to use this in a web page? Also is there any thing else that I should consider? $command = "cat $pass | su -c 'shutdown -r now'"; $output = array(); try{ echo shell_exec($command); exec($command, $output); system($command, $output); } catch(Exception $e) { print "Unable to shutdown system...\n"; } foreach ($output as $line) { print "$line<br>"; } Thanks in advance.

  • @ExceptionHandler doesn't handle the thrown exceptions

    - by Javi
Hello, I have a method in my controller which will handle the exceptions thrown by the application. So I have a method like this one. @Controller public class ExceptionController { @RequestMapping(value="/error") @ExceptionHandler(value={Exception.class, NullPointerException.class}) public String showError(Exception e, Model model){ return "tiles:error"; } } And to try I if it works I throw a NullPointerException in another method in other method controller: boolean a = true; if(a){ throw new NullPointerException(); } After the exception is thrown it is printed in the JSP, but it doesn't go throw my showError() method (I've set a breakpoint there and it never enters). showError() method will catch the exception and will show different error pages depending on the exception type (though now it always shows the same error page). If I go to the url /error it shows the error page so the showError() method is OK. I'm using Spring 3. What can be the problem? Thanks.

  • Can somebody explain the difference between exceptions and errors (specific to PHP)?

    - by letseatfood
I am having trouble figuring the best way to display errors to my clients. Should I use exceptions or errors? For example, if the user's login information does not match the database, should I throw new Exception('Login information is incorrect. Please try again.') and catch it with an exception handler using set_exception_handler()? Or, should I use trigger_error() to display an error message to the user? I think the main issue is that I cannot differentiate between errors and exceptions. I have read a lot of "answers" to this question on the internet and in some books, but it seems that people are really divided or aren't sure. Thanks!

  • How does HTTP Analyzer works?

    - by Rampage
Halo, i am interest in methods, which http analyzer uses to capture data. I would like to write program which saves emails sent via web based clients. The problem is https and HTTP Analyzer solves it, but i dont know how. I got one interesting answer on my question before, but it doesnt reveal as much as i would like to know. Programs like HTTP Analyzer can catch the HTTPS data because they insert themselves in the HTTPS stack. As a result, they get the data after it's generated but before it's being encrypted and put in IP packets. This is highly non-trivial. How it is possible to make? If you have any interesting articles solving this issue, please let me know.
