  Hi I have a custom keyboard I want to show when the user taps a UITextField. But at the same time I want to show the cursor in the textfield. If if return a NO for canBecomeFirstResponder, it doesn't show the default keyboard but doesn't show the cursor either. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.

I use jquery's ajaxForm() function to re-direct the user to a different jsp after the Servlet logic is executed.   I am writing a script to run under the korn shell on AIX. I'd like to use the mkdir command to create a directory. But the directory may already exist, in which case I don't want to do anything. So I want to either test to see that the directory doesn't exist, or suppress the "File exists" error that mkdir throws when it tries to create an existing directory. Any thoughts on how best to do this?

  How can I allow the user to click to check an item in CheckedListBox in one click? The default behaviour is the first click selects the item, the second click allows you to toggle the check. I don't want to toggle the check on select either, I'm looking for the behavior of the ListView control where I can click directly on check boxes to toggle them without selecting their items first.

  So, I have this code: } else { $photograph_moderation = new PhotographModeration($this->photograph_id); $photograph_moderation->purgePhotograph(); //eventually take to an error page die('image is not big enough to upload'); } the purgePhotograph() function gets called properly when this condition is met, but the script never appears to die. Is there a reason why die wouldn't get called here? purgePhotograph() has no script killing commands either.

  hi helpful people, i'm trying to get my old blogger blog feed URL (/blog/atom.xml) to redirect to my new blog feed URL (/blog/feed). A regular 301 redirect didn't work, and the advice given on the wordpress site, which is: RewriteRule ^oldfeed.php(.*)? /wordpress/?feed=newfeed [QSA] isn't quite cutting it either - probably because i'm not sure how to adjust the code for oldfeed to accomodate a directory. or for some other reason entirely!   I have been using git on windows-msysgit. Whenever I try to remove a repository completely either using explorer or using $ git rm -rf ptp/ fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git it errors out "The data present in the reparse point buffer is invalid" or the fatal error above.   Does anybody out there know of a Gtk equivalent for a System.Windows.Forms BindingSource? I'm trying to get a windows based project to work under a gtk environment and can't use the Windows.Forms dll for this. So does anybody know of a BindingSource replacement either in mono or a third party dll? (I've looked at the gtk-databindings project didn't seem to have what i need)
