  I have been experimenting with TMask in Delphi 2010 and it seems to work as expected except in one situation: when the mask name contains [ or ] the mask always seem to return false. For example: var MaskObj : TMask; begin MaskObj:= TMask.Create('c:\[test]\*'); try Result:= MaskObj.Matches('c:\[test]\text'); finally FreeAndNil(MaskObj); end; end; returns false. ... Yes, [ and ] are legal characters in file name. So if I want to exclude for example all files in c:[test]*, what could I do here? My only solution is to do a StringReplace if [ is detected, but this will be slow for a large number of files: if (pos('[', Mask)>0) then begin mask:= ReplaceString(Mask, '[','_', etc... // and do the same for the file name--- end; Is there any other approach?

  I'm dynamically adding a Boolean column to a DataSet. The DataSet's table is the DataSource for a GridView, which AutoGenerates the columns. Issue: The checkboxes for this dynamically generated column are all disabled. When the document loads, the <div #confirmation> is deleted from the markup! I had a similar issue earlier, but I cannot use that solution here. On this page I can have multiple PopUp divs. When I added the initialization in just before opening it; the form popped up. But after I close it, the div is removed; so I am not able to see the popup again.

• Maven webapp with maven-eclipse-plugin doesn't generates <dependent-module>

  I use the eclipse:eclipse goal to generate an Eclipse Project environment. The deployment works fine. The goal creates the var classpath entries for all needed dependencies. With m2eclipse there was the Maven Container which defines an export folder which was WEB-INF/lib for me. But i don't want to rely on m2eclipse so i don't use it anymore. the class path entries which are generated by eclipse:eclipse goal don't have such a export folder. While booting the servlet container with WTP it publishes all resources and classes except the libraries to the context. Whats missing to publish the needed libs, or isn't that possible without m2eclipse integration?   I'm using this jquery autocomplete plug-in with rails: http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/Autocomplete I can't figure out how to format my results, both in my Rails controller and in my javascript file. I have something like this in my controller... @query = params[:q].downcase @json = User.all(:login => /^#{@query}/) respond_to do |format| format.js { render :json => @json.to_json(:only => "login"), :layout => false } end And then this in my script.js file... $("#form").autocomplete('/url', { width: 320, dataType: 'json', highlight: false, scroll: true, scrollHeight: 300 }) But I can't figure out how to parse the data, so my autocomplete just gets a raw array of all my results at once. How do I process the JSON in the script.js file and/or in my controller for it to work?

• How to refresh DataGrid and DropDown on main page after hiding modal popup

  Hi, I am adding records to a database from a modal popup. After hiding the modal popup, the page has not been refreshed even though I have Rebound the controls. I have reviewed a few postings on the web about this but the solution still evades me. I have attached my code after removing some of the extra detail... It seems I need to cause a postback but I don't know what needs to be changed. Some posts have talked about the extender being misplaced. • IE7 is not positioning dialog properly on window resize

  Like I said, IE7 (and IE6 but I don't really care IE6 that much) doesn't position dialog properly on window resize. When window is re sized, dialog goes down and down. IE8 FF Chrome Safari all work properly and position and re size dialog just fine but IE7 it re sizes the dialog but positions incorrectly.   Hello, I am trying to make a program in Java that checks for three specific inputs. It has to be 1. At least 7 characters. 2. Contain both upper and lower case alphabetic characters. 3. Contain at least 1 digit. So far I have been able to make it check if there is 7 characters, but I am having trouble with the last two. What should I put in my loop as an if statement to check for digits and make it upper and lower case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If the answer is yes, where the implementation located? Specifically, assume that I want to add new subclass of "Boolean" called "Other" which will represent a third option: neither true nor false. I understand the WPF event strategies and i understand that the MouseDown event is a bubbling event and the PreviewMouseDown is a tunneling event. I also understand the order of which these events are being fired - according to this MSDN overview http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms742806.aspx#routing (there is a diagram with example there). So i tried to code some my self, check this for example: <Grid x:Name="grid" Width="250"> <StackPanel Mouse.MouseDown="StackPanel_MouseDown" PreviewMouseDown="StackPanel_PreviewMouseDown"> <WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton x:Name="B1" PreviewMouseDown="B1_PreviewMouseDown" MouseDown="B1_MouseDown" Margin="5,5,5,5"> <WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton x:Name="B2" PreviewMouseDown="B2_PreviewMouseDown" MouseDown="B2_MouseDown" Margin="5,5,5,5"> <WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton x:Name="B3" PreviewMouseDown="B3_PreviewMouseDown" MouseDown="B3_MouseDown" Margin="5,5,5,5">Click Me</WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton> </WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton> </WPFVisualizerExample:MyButton> </StackPanel> </Grid> I have an event handler for each of the events (the preview and non-preview) and i wanted to see what is happening, which of the event is being thrown (i have a message box shown for each event). The 'MyButton' user control simply extends the base Button and override the OnMouseDown and OnPreviewMouseDown to set the e.Handled false: protected override void OnMouseDown(System.Windows.Input.MouseButtonEventArgs e) { base.OnMouseDown(e); e.Handled = false; } protected override void OnPreviewMouseDown(System.Windows.Input.MouseButtonEventArgs e) { base.OnPreviewMouseDown(e); e.Handled = false; } (tried with this and without this). According to the MSDN overview (in the link above), if i have 3 elements then the events route should be as follows: PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on root element. PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on intermediate element #1. PreviewMouseDown (tunnel) on source element #2. MouseDown (bubble) on source element #2. MouseDown (bubble) on intermediate element #1. MouseDown (bubble) on root element. So I expected the the message boxes to be shown according to the above. From some reason - which I don't understand only the preview events are being thrown (according to what the MSDN says Preview_B1=Preview_B2=Preview_B3). My expectations were: Preview_B1=Preview_B2=Preview_B3=NonPreview_B3=NonPreview_B2=NonPreview_B1. But the non-preview events are not being thrown at all. So basically I don't understand the route of the events, from MSDN overview I understood that the route starts from the root element, goes down (tunnel) to the source element and then back up (bubble) to the root element, but this is not what happening in practice. It is really important for me to understand how this events are working, i probably miss-understand something basic here, your help will be appreciated. THANX!! -Gili
