  I've seen this, but it doesn't work for me, I don't get where to change from insertafter to typetext. What should I change in the following to get part of the text bold as desired? • unit test service layer - NUnit, NHibernate

  Hi, I would like to unit test a DEPENDENT service layer which allows me to perform CRUD operation without mocking using NUnit. I know this is probably bad practice but I want to give it a try anyway - even if the tests have to run over night. My data is persisted using NHibernate and I have implemented a little library that 'bootstraps' the database which I could use in a [Setup] method. I am just wondering if someone has done something similar and what the fastest method for bootstrapping the database is. I am using something like this: var cfg = new Configuration(); cfg.Configure(); cfg.AddAssembly("Bla"); new SchemaExport(cfg).Execute(false, true, false); to establish the db schema. After that I populate some lookup tables from some Excel tables. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Christian

• jquery ajax post callback - manipulation stops after the "third" call

  EDIT: The problem is not related to Boxy, I've run into the same issue when I've used JQuery 's load method. EDIT 2: When I take out link.remove() from inside the ajax callback and place it before ajax load, the problem is no more. Are there restrictions for manipulating elements inside an ajax callback function. I am using JQuery with Boxy plugin. When the 'Flag' link on the page is clicked, a Boxy modal pops-up and loads a form via ajax. When the user submits the form, the link (<a> tag) is removed and a new one is created from the ajax response. This mechanism works for, well, 3 times! After the 3rd, the callback function just does not remove/replace/append (tested several variations of manipulation) the element. The only hint I have is that after the 3rd call, the parent of the link becomes non-selectable. However I can't make anything of this. Sorry if this is a very trivial issue, I have no experience in client-side programming. I don't want to use primary key for the association (referencedColumnName). • Numeric comparison difficulty in R

  I'm trying to compare two numbers in R as a part of a if-statement condition: (a-b) >= 0.5 In this particular instance, a = 0.58 and b = 0.08... and yet (a-b) >= 0.5 is false. I'm aware of the dangers of using == for exact number comparisons, and this seems related: (a - b) == 0.5) is false, while all.equal((a - b), 0.5) is true. The only solution I can think of is to have two conditions: (a-b) > 0.5 | all.equal((a-b), 0.5). This works, but is that really the only solution? Should I just swear off of the = family of comparison operators forever?

• Opposite of Bloom filter?

  Hi, I'm trying to optimize a piece of software which is basically running millions of tests. These tests are generated in such a way that there can be some repetitions. Of course, I don't want to spend time running tests which I already ran if I can avoid it efficiently. So, I'm thinking about using a Bloom filter to store the tests which have been already ran. However, the Bloom filter errs on the unsafe side for me. It gives false positives. That is, it may report that I've ran a test which I haven't. Although this could be acceptable in the scenario I'm working on, I was wondering if there's an equivalent to a Bloom filter, but erring on the opposite side, that is, only giving false negatives. I've skimmed through the literature without any luck.

  I am trying to program a very standard JS behavior for a link using an HREF onClick handler, and I am facing a strange problem caused by what I believe to be focus/touch mode behavior on Android. Sometimes when I click on the link, instead of executing the action, it simply becomes selected/focused, with either just a focus rectangle or even also with a filled focus rectangle (selected as opposed to just focused?).   I pull product price from another page. Then I multiply it with quantity entered in the quantity input field. The problem is, if I forget to enter quantity value before I pull product price data or if I change the quantity field later, the final total price is not updated. • Watching a variable for changes without polling.

  I'm using a framework called Processing which is basically a Java applet. It has the ability to do key events because Applet can. You can also roll your own callbacks of sorts into the parent. I'm not doing that right now and maybe that's the solution. For now, I'm looking for a more POJO solution. So I wrote some examples to illustrate my question. Please ignore using key events on the command line (console). Certainly this would be a very clean solution but it's not possible on the command line and my actual app isn't a command line app. In fact, a key event would be a good solution for me but I'm trying to understand events and polling beyond just keyboard specific problems. Both these examples flip a boolean. When the boolean flips, I want to fire something once. I could wrap the boolean in an Object so if the Object changes, I could fire an event too. How can I watch a POJO for changes without polling? In C# there seems to be something interesting called properties. There are so many different mehods, extending the Event class, but also Extending the EventDispatcher class, very confusing!   hi, After being through numerous forums available on the net for last 5 days, I am still not able to completely track down the browser close event. My requirement is to generate a popup message, when user tries to close the browser. I have called my javascript function on body 'onbeforeunload' event. And I have hardcoded the conditions to check the mouse-coordinates for the red 'X' buton of browser, refresh, File-close or Alt-F4. My code works fine when browser window is Maximized, but fails if we shrink it after a limit. Please help me, if some body has already found the solution to a similar problem. Thank you. Sales" End If Basically what is happening is, if a certain radio button is selected and the user didn't click the checkbox the default regions are included and they are hardcoded because the query runs much faster. if the user did click the checkbox then the textbox where they type the specific regions shows up and it will run the query that includes the dbo.B605SaleAsOfAdvancedMaster.SDESCR in (" & TextBox1.Text & ") If you can somehow do this using parameters and not with the textbox1.text in the query it will run much faster for me thanks for your help

• iPhone TabBar selection cancelling

  I am developing an iPhone app that displays several views, all acessed via Tab Bar items. However I need to add an additional item to the Tab Bar that simply launches a URL in Safari. I've accomplished this by adding an empty placeholder view to the TabBar and returning FALSE from shouldSelectViewController when the this view's tabBarItem is clicked on, and launching Safari at the same time. That code is: - (BOOL)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController shouldSelectViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController { if([[viewController tabBarItem] title] == "Website"){ //... launch Safari return FALSE; } else { return TRUE; } } PROBLEM: If the TabBar has too many items, and this "Safari Launch" tab is pushed off to the "More" navigation controller, I lose the capability to intercept the event and prevent the view from loading when clicked. • Object drag delay issue

  I have this code that drags stuff around perfectly in IE - however in firefox the onmousedown-drag of the object does not immediately drag but shows the no-entry cursor and then after onmouseup the object drags around freely. The object does stop draging on the next onmouseup. The object should only drag in the onmousdown state, while the onmousup call should cancel the drag by making j_OK=0.
