Jquery taconite selector with character that needs to be escaped

I'm using the jquery taconite plugin to make an ajax request that will replace a certain element in my page, however the element has an id like "email.subject".. I can select it just fine if I do '$("email\\.subject")', but when I try to use the taconite plugin like this: <taconite> <replaceWith select="#email\\.subject"> JUCA </replaceWith> </taconite> The plugin log says: [taconite] No matching targets for selector: #email\\.subject How can I make this work?

Compact matlab matrix indexing notation

I've got an nxk sized matrix, containing k numbers per row. I want to use these k number as indexes to k-dimensional matrix. Is there any compact way of doing so in matlab or must I use a for-loop? splat operator in groovy?

In pseudo code, something like: def otherMap = [hi: "world"] foo("bar", hi: "bye", otherMap*) So that it prints [hi:world] This doesn't work of course. Also, trying to pass just the map mixes the order of arguments: def otherMap = [hi: "world"] foo("bar", otherMap) will print bar How can I fix this?

Which data structure for List of objects + datagrid wiev

Hi, I have to develop a code which will store a list of objects, as example below 101, value 11, value 12, value 13 ...etc 102, value 21, value 22, value 23 ...etc 103, value 31, value 32, value 33 ...etc 104, value 41, value 42, value 43 ...etc Now, the difficulty is, that first column is an identifier, and whole table should always be sorted by it. Easy access to each element is required. Additionally, list should be easily updated, and extended by adding element at the end as well as in front and still keep being sorted by first column. Finally, I would like to be able to display values of the above in datagridview. What is most important is a performance of the implementation, as rows will be updated many times per second, and datagridview should be able to display all changes immediately. I was thinking about creating class for the values, and then a Dictionary but encountered a problem with displaying values in gridview. What would be the most optimal way of implementing the code? Android Extend BaseExpandableListAdapter

I am trying to extend the BaseExpandableListAdapter, however when once I view the list and I select one of the elements to expand, the order of the list gets reversed. For example, if I have a list with 4 elements and select the 1st element, the order (from top to bottom) is now 4, 3, 2, 1 with the 4th element (now at the top) expanded. If I unexpand the 4th element the order reverts to 1, 2, 3, 4 with no expanded elements. Algorithm to find a measurement of similarity between lists.

Given that I have two lists that each contain a separate subset of a common superset, is there an algorithm to give me a similarity measurement? Example: A = { John, Mary, Kate, Peter } and B = { Peter, James, Mary, Kate } How similar are these two lists? Note that I do not know all elements of the common superset. Update: I was unclear and I have probably used the word 'set' in a sloppy fashion. My apologies. Clarification: Order is of importance. If identical elements occupy the same position in the list, we have the highest similarity for that element. The similarity decreased the farther apart the identical elements are. The similarity is even lower if the element only exists in one of the lists. I could even add the extra dimension that lower indices are of greater value, so a a[1] == b[1] is worth more than a[9] == b[9], but that is mainly cause I am curious.

But general - it doesn't add a separator after the last element! I uses it for ASP.NET coding for separating with "<br />" or Environment.NewLine. So I want to add an empty row after each row in asp:Table. What method of IEnumerable<TableRow> can I use for the same functionality?

Hello everybody, I have created an array with: var msg = new Array(); then, I have a function that add values to this array, this function is: function add(time, user, text){ var message = [time, user, text]; if (msg.length >= 50) msg.shift(); msg.push(message); } As you can see, if the array has 50 or more elements I remove the first with .shift(). Then I add an array as element. Ok, the code works perfectly, but now I have to loop the msg array to create a JSON obj. The JSON object should has this format: var obj = [ {'time' : time, 'user' : user, 'text' : text}, {'time' : time, 'user' : user, 'text' : text}, {'time' : time, 'user' : user, 'text' : text} ] I mean...i have to loop msg array and then store all the values inside the JSON object. I do not know how to "concatenate" the element of the array inside json obj. Could you help me? Thank you very much in advance!

ASP.NET Controls Not Recognized

I just installed the release version of Visual Studio 2010, and it looks like there's something wrong with the standard ASP.NET server controls. When I create a basic server control, such as a TextBox, the editor underlines it in green and says (I also get no intellisense for ASP.NET controls): Element 'TextBox' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the Web.config file is missing. The web site builds fine, and the Web.config file is not missing: <?xml version="1.0"?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="false" targetFramework="4.0" /> </system.web> </configuration> The controls work just fine in the code-behind, and they function correctly when I run the site. Is there some configuration problem here?

Hi, I have html: <div class="field-label"><label>Email: </label></div> <div class="field"><input class="input" ......></div> and piece of css: .field-label { clear:left; float:left; padding:0.5em; width:6em; } .field { padding:0.5em; } And it worked fine. But for some elements I wanted to apply following change: when I add width to .field class layout goes to blazes: element with .field class appears under element with field-label class. Container of whole form is width enough to hold elements with field-label & field class. Why is it happening, did I miss something in css basics? Thanks ,Pawel

Python: Find X to Y in a list of strings.

I have a list of maybe a 100 or so elements that is actually an email with each line as an element. The list is slightly variable because lines that have a \n in them are put in a separate element so I can't simply slice using fixed values. I essentially need a variable start and stop phrase (needs to be a partial search as well because one of my start phrases might actually be Total Cost: $13.43 so I would just use Total Cost:.) Same thing with the end phrase. I also do not wish to include the start/stop phrases in the returned list. In summary: email = ['apples','bananas','cats','dogs','elephants','fish','gee'] start = 'ban' stop = 'ele' the magic here new_email = ['cats','dogs'] NOTES While not perfect formatting of the email, it is fairly consistent so there is a slim chance a start/stop phrase will occur more than once. There are also no blank elements.

The C# is 'correct' - ie. extracts. What is the correct method to load an XML file and re-write it as a CSV?

(I say unknown object type because I am not sure what direction to go) Once I have the data loaded I need to do some processing on certain elements that are now loaded into the new object. Algorithm: Determine shape of two sectors delineated by an arbitrary path, and then fill one.

NOTE: This is a challenging problem for anybody who likes logic problems, etc. Consider a rectangular two-dimensional grid of height H and width W. Every space on the grid has a value, either 0 1 or 2. Initially, every space on the grid is a 0, except for the spaces along each of the four edges, which are initially a 2. Then consider an arbitrary path of adjacent (horizontally or vertically) grid spaces. The path begins on a 2 and ends on a different 2. Every space along the path is a 1. The path divides the grid into two "sectors" of 0 spaces. There is an object that rests on an unspecified 0 space. The "sector" that does NOT contain the object must be filled completely with 2. Define an algorithm that determines the spaces that must become 2 from 0, given an array (list) of values (0, 1, or 2) that correspond to the values in the grid, going from top to bottom and then from left to right. In other words, the element at index 0 in the array contains the value of the top-left space in the grid (initially a 2). The element at index 1 contains the value of the space in the grid that is in the left column, second from the top, and so forth. The element at index H contains the value of the space in the grid that is in the top row but second from the left, and so forth. Once the algorithm finishes and the empty "sector" is filled completely with 2s, the SAME algorithm must be sufficient to do the same process again. The second (and on) time, the path is still drawn from a 2 to a different 2, across spaces of 0, but the "grid" is smaller because the 2s that are surrounded by other 2s cannot be touched by the path (since the path is along spaces of 0). IE Print CSS and spanning page breaks

I've been working on trying to fix an issue with print CSS and IE where things would disappear when printing in landscape mode. It appears the issue is that the element I'm trying to print (a large DIV with content inside it) spans two pages when put into landscape mode. What is happening is when the element spans two pages, the first page is blank, and the second page is printing what would normally be left over from the first page. I think it's related to contained floats: wrapper div floated div1 floated div2 If I set the two nested divs to float: none in the print CSS file, then IE will print them, albeit not in the layout we'd like. Before I spend another hour on this, anyone know what, specifically, is the issue here and if there's a known workaround?
