  I want to create a resource file for Singaporean English (en-sg) named "shopping.en-sg.resx" in App_GlobalResources folder. I get error during compilation. Error 1 The namespace 'Resources' already contains a definition for 'shopping' c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\web\2cd6afe9\737b0a13\App_GlobalResources.vomuzavz.1.cs 26 After searching Google, I discover that "en-sg" is not a default culture and I have to create custom culture for it. I don't know the detailed steps of this. What should I do to create the culture and remove the compilation error? • How to create instances of related models in Django

  I'm working on a CMSy app for which I've implemented a set of models which allow for creation of custom Template instances, made up of a number of Fields and tied to a specific Customer. The end-goal is that one or more templates with a set of custom fields can be defined through the Admin interface and associated to a customer, so that customer can then create content objects in the format prescribed by the template. I seem to have gotten this hooked up such that I can create any number of Template objects, but I'm struggling with how to create instances - actual content objects - in those templates. For example, I can define a template "Basic Page" for customer "Acme" which has the fields "Title" and "Body", but I haven't figured out how to create Basic Page instances where these fields can be filled in. • How do I create a dynamic data transfer object dynamically from ADO.net model

  I have a pretty simple database with 5 tables, PK's and relationships setup, etc. I also have an ASP.net MVC3 project I'm using to create simple web services to feed JSON/XML to a mobile app using post/get. To access my data I'm using an ADO.net entity model class to handle generation of the entities, etc. Due to issues with serialization/circular references created by the auto-generated relations from ADO.net entity model, I've been forced to create "Data transfer objects" to strip out the relations and data that doesn't need to be transferred. Question 1: is there an easier way to create DTOs using the entity framework itself? IE, specify only the entity properties I want to convert to Jsonresults? I don't wish to use any 3rd party frameworks if I can help it. Question 2: A side question for Entity Framework, say I create an ADO.net entity model in one project within a solution. Because that model relies on the connection to the database specified in project A, can project B somehow use that model with a similar connection? Both projects are in the same solution. Thanks!

  I'm trying to create a new plugin to track popular posts based on views and I have everything done and ready to go, but I can't seem to create a new table using the Wordpress API (I can do it with standard PHP or with phpMyAdmin, but I want this plugin to be self-sufficient).   I'm trying to create a function in package that returns a table. I hope to call the function once in the package, but be able to re-use its data mulitple times. While I know I create temp tables in Oracle, I was hoping to keep things DRY.   The following error is preventing me from cloning a Windows 7 64bit computer. Unable to create a VSS snapshot of the source volume(s). Error code: 2147754754 (0x80042302) I'm using VMWare vCenter Converter Standalone Client 4.0.1. Any ideas on what might be causing this? When I checked the services running, I noticed that the Volume Shadow Copy Service was set to manual. So I started the service and switched it to automatic. It still didn't work after that. I checked the event logs and I got the following errors: Event ID: 22 Description: Volume Shadow Copy Service error: A critical component required by the Volume Shadow Copy service is not registered. This might happened if an error occurred during Windows setup or during installation of a Shadow Copy provider.   One of our customers has just found a problem when trying to create a file on the root of the C:\ Drive, on a Windows 7 Professional PC. I know they shouln't be keeping files here, but there is a valid reason in this case, so I've relaxed the security on the root of C:\ by giving the group 'users' modify permission. Before I relaxed the security, the user was receiving 'access denied', but now they are receiving the message: An unexpected error is keeping you from creating the file. If you continue to recieve this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x80070522: A required priviledge is not held by the client. Googling for this suggests that it is caused by UAC, but how can I get round this when the user doesn't have admin rights on their PC?

  I'm trying to setup an Asterisk system that will allow me to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers. It seems I can use 'call files' to make Asterisk initiate the call without needing an incoming call - http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+auto-dial+out This example seems to be what I'd need: Channel: SIP/mytrunk/12345678 MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 60 WaitTime: 30 Context: callme Extension: 800 Priority: 2 I can generate this file with some scripting language and then place it into the Asterisk Call File folder. The problem I'm having is: How do I call out to two numbers and join them in a conference call? The MeetMe plugin/extension seems to be what I need in terms of conference calling, I'm just unsure as to how I'd use the two together and join them. Also, is it possible to have multiple 2-person conference calls at the same time? Is setting this up as simple as setting aside X amount of 'channels' in the meetme.conf?

• Cannot create Java VM on OpenVZ

  I'm constantly encountering an error related to Java and certificates on my Ubuntu server running in OpenVZ when installing things from apt-get. I'm pretty sure it has to do with how Java allocates memory. I know the fail counter for privvmpages is very high, so the problem must be that Java is hitting this limit. I have read that the server VM will allocate a lot of memory up front to preempt performance issues, but that the client VM doesn't do this and might be better for what I'm doing. I messed with jvm.cfg to make the system go to the client VM, but get an error that it can't find the client VM. I have tried replacing the Java binary with a script calling Java with -Xms and -Xmx settings, and that solves the issue for when I call basic things from the command line, but not for when doing things like having apt-get configure certificates. I'm at a loss for what to try next. I need to get this working, but simply increasing privvmpages is not an available option. I have the actual error pasted below. • Can't create VM with virt-install on Debian wheezy

  Cant find any answers anywhere so here goes. I am trying to CREATE a new virtual machine using the virt-install command from a console on a Debian wheezy install. I keep getting the following output: Starting install... ERROR internal error process exited while connecting to monitor: char device redirected to /dev/pts/1 inet_listen_opts: bind(ipv4,127.0.0.1,5951): Cannot assign requested address inet_listen_opts: FAILED I assumed that the port (5951 in this case) was being used judging by the error message and other sites I visited for an answer, but the same error occurs whatever number I use for the port. I cant see that port being listened upon in netstat either. Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong?

  As I understand it, a SELECT statement will place a shared lock on the rows that it will return. While that SELECT is running, if an UPDATE statement comes along and needs to grab an intent exclusive lock then that UPDATE statement will need to wait until the SELECT statement releases its shared locks. I am trying to test this SELECT shared lock thing by doing a BEGIN TRAN and then running a SELECT, not COMMITing, and then running an UPDATE in another session on the exact same row. The UPDATE worked fine -- no lock, no wait. So this must not be a valid way to simulate a shared lock blocking an intent exclusive lock? Can you give me a scenario where I can create a lock with a SELECT that would force an UPDATE to wait? I'm working with SQL Server 2000 and 2005 across a linked server: the table is on the 2005 instance, the select is happening on 2000, and the update is executed from 2005. All in SSMS 2005.

  I'm trying to setup an Asterisk system that will allow me to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers. It seems I can use 'call files' to make Asterisk initiate the call without needing an incoming call - http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+auto-dial+out This example seems to be what I'd need: Channel: SIP/mytrunk/12345678 MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 60 WaitTime: 30 Context: callme Extension: 800 Priority: 2 I can generate this file with some scripting language and then place it into the Asterisk Call File folder. The problem I'm having is: How do I call out to two numbers and join them in a conference call? The MeetMe plugin/extension seems to be what I need in terms of conference calling, I'm just unsure as to how I'd use the two together and join them. Also, is it possible to have multiple 2-person conference calls at the same time? Is setting this up as simple as setting aside X amount of 'channels' in the meetme.conf?

  I want to create a user account for each of the key programs installed on my debian server. For example, for the following programs: Tomcat Nginx Supervisor PostgreSQL This seems to be recommended based on my reading online. However, I want to restrict these user accounts as much as possible, so that they dont have a shell login, dont have access to the other programs and are as limited as possible but still functional. Would anyone mind telling me how this could be achieved? My reading so far suggests this: echo "/usr/sbin/nologin" >> /etc/shells useradd -s /usr/sbin/nologin tomcat But I think there may be a more complete way of doing it. EDIT: I'm using debian squeeze

• Can't create new folder from anywhere in Windows 7

  I have this problem on two of my new laptops and can't seem to find a decent workable solution elsewhere in forum land. The problem is that on my Windows 7 Professional machines the right mouse button doesn't show the New Folder option and elsewhere as well (via Explorer) I'm unable to create new folders. I'll be happy to get this tiny problem resolved and declare that Windows 7 is almost perfect! Thanks to all of you in advance for your contribution! I want know, how I can create an isolated test environment for software testing purpose only, so anything will happen in that test vLan will not make trouble in the production environment. "Host-only networking" is the solution or there is a better way to achieve this result? My requirements A. Hosts should be able to access Internet and a Network Share drive but not Production network B. Hosts should connect each other inside the Virtual LAN C. I can always ssh into my netbook, but don't want to carry both the computers all the time.   I have just installed SmartSVN on this fedora system. The application starts (on running ./smartsvn.sh) with its usual UI but many things are not working. Creating New repository profile Trying to create a new repository profile (Repositories- Repository Profiles- Add) An Error occurred while processing an SVN command - Cannot connect to 'svn+ssh://192.168.0.103': There was a problem while connecting to 192.168.0.103:22 Quick Checkout Trying to do Quick Checkout (less configuration) An Error occurred while processing an SVN command - Malformed XML. Some Observations When I run the smartsvn.sh file like this:- ./smartsvn.sh It shows this in the console - Warning: /bin/java does not exist Could not lock /root/.smartsvn/_lock_ Switched to running instance I was using SmartSVN in another system before this where it was working. There too, it was showing the warning like Warning: /bin/java does not exist but this part was not showing:- Could not lock /root/.smartsvn/_lock_ Switched to running instance I have only JRE installed in both the systems and not JDK.   We just purchased a Windows-based VPS that I've been tasked to set up as a web server. It's running Windows 2003 Server Datacenter Edition. I downloaded the latest version of Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and installed it, but when I try to run it I'm given an error message "Failed to create empty document." A search on Google gave the suggestion to change the path of the TEMP and TMP environment variables, which I tried but it made no difference. I also saw suggestions that this problem is caused by MMC, but I was just in MMC setting up a user account. What am I missing?

• Importing csv list of contacts into Exchange 2007 GAL and create Distribution Group

  Here's the situation: We have a list of about 1,000 contacts (Lawyers in the area our court serves) with name and email address. I've been asked to create an email distribution list that can be used to sent emails to all of the external users on that list. I've seen various articles using the Exchange Management Shell and the Import-csv command piped through a ForEach-Object to a New-MailContact to set up the contacts. However, Exchange Management Shell is rather unhelpful, and it isn't working. What I believe I need to do is: 1) Set up a new distribution group using the Exchange Management Console. Let's say this new distribution group (which appears in the list of Distribution Groups under Recipient Configuration) is called "FloridaBar". 2) Make sure I have a csv file of the information I want to import. 3) Open Exchange Management Shell, and enter the following command: Import-csv C:\filename.csv | ForEach-Object { New-MailContact -Name $."NameColumnName" -ExternalEmailAddress $."EmailAddressColumn" -org FloridaBar Now, creating 1,000+ contacts in active directory - I assume that shouldn't be an issue. Do I have the "-org" parm wrong? Do I need to spell out the complete organization unit name (my.domain.name/Users/FloridaBar)? Is there a better way of doing this? Thanks in advance Ken
