  • Routed Command Question

    I'd like to implement a custom command to capture a Backspace key gesture inside of a textbox, but I don't know how. I wrote a test program in order to understand what's going on, but the behaviour of the program is rather confusing. Basically, I just need to be able to handle the Backspace key gesture via wpf commands while keyboard focus is in the textbox, and without disrupting the normal behaviour of the Backspace key within the textbox.   • XamlParseException on Windows XP

    I have a WPF application which runs perfectly fine on vista/7 but on Windows XP it chucks up the System.Windows.Markup.XamlParse error, and it's quite frustrating because I have a hell of a lot of controls in my application and I don't know what is causing the problem.   • How to implement VS 2010-like floating tabs?

    I'm building a tabbed WPF application. I'm planning to put MapPoint control (ActiveX) on one of the tabs. I want to have the option to float this tab just like in VS 2010. The resulting widow must contain the same instance of the MapPoint control (because each instance of the control starts up separate MapPoint instance). Any idea how to implement this?

  • M-V-VM, isn't the Model leaking into the View?

    The point of M-V-VM as we all know is about speraration of concerns. In patterns like MVVM, MVC or MVP, the main purpose is to decouple the View from the Data thereby building more flexible components. I'll demonstrate first a very common scenario found in many WPF apps, and then I'll make my point: Say we have some StockQuote application that streams a bunch of quotes and displays them on screen. My question is this: In this type of scenario, the StockQuote is considered the Model, and we're exposing that to the View through the ViewModel's ObservableCollection. Which basically means, our View has knowledge of the Model. Doesn't that violate the whole paradigm of M-V-VM? Or am I missing something here....?

    Hi there, Just built myself a mvvmlight app and if i press f5 TO COMPILE and run all works ok, it displays the wpf window but if i do a BUILD i get an error Error 1 The target "RunCodeAnalysis" does not exist in the project. I am using the visual studio 2010 professional version RTM The only thing i see strange is the target framework which is set to .NET framework 4 client profile Anybody know why this happens??

  • Bubbling scroll events from a ListView to its parent

    In my WPF application I have a ListView whose ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility is set to Disabled. It is contained within a ScrollViewer. When I attempt to use the mouse wheel over the ListView, the outer ScrollViewer does not scroll because the ListView is capturing the scroll events. How can I force the ListView to allow the scroll events to bubble up to the ScrollViewer?

  • Disable Drag-drop from TextBox

    I have a WPF textBox that is declared as ReadOnly <TextBox IsReadOnly="True" IsTabStop="False" Width="200" /> So, User can not write anything into the TextBox or delete the content but it still allows user to drag the text from this textbox and drop it in any other textbox that caused the text removed from the first textbox(the read-only one) and thats unexpected. Is it a bug? how can I get rid of this?

If I am given two Point3D's, the From and To, and assuming the origin is at 0,0,0 how do I calculate a curve between the two points?     Is there a way to sort Devexpress QuantumGrid rows on data from a different column other than the one whose header has been clicked? For example, when the header of column A is clicked the rows of the grid are sorted on the data from column B. Visually it should still appear that it is column A that has been sorted as the sort glyphys will be shown in column A's header.
