  • Light weight C++ SAX XML parser

    I know of at least three light weight C++ XML parsers: RapidXML, TinyXML and PugiXML. However, all three use a DOM based interface (ie, they build their own in-memory representation of the XML document and then provide an interface to traverse and manipulate it). For most situations that I have to deal with, I much prefer the SAX interface (where the parser just spits out a stream of events like start-of-tag, and the application code is responsible for doing whatever it wants based on those events). Can anyone recommend a light weight C++ XML library with a SAX interface? Edit: I should also note the Microsoft XmlLite library, which does use a SAX interface. Unfortunately, it's ruled out for me at the moment since as far as I know it's closed source and Windows only (please correct me if I'm wrong on this).

    i have to make the colorpiker tool of flex, to be a customized one, i beleive you have seen the color picker tool of flex, when you click on the colorpicker, a swatch panel gets open, right?? now in that swatch, there are three compoenents, one is thw colorbox(on top left), beside right to this is the text field holding the hex code of the color and below these two tools, is the colors present in the small rectangles, now my need is this, i want to add three more buttons on the top empty space after textfield, so that structure of the colors pciker looks like this colorbox | textfield | button1 | button2 | button3 color rectangles, showing all default colors i beleive u understood, what i meant here, so plzz help me out in making a custom colorpciker class, thanx Namaste

C# 3.0 doesn't just stop there." Should we increasingly use them instead of loops? And should be having loops(instead of those three building blocks of data manipulation) be one of the metrics for coding horrors on code reviews? And why? [NOTE] I'm not advocating fully functional programming on those codes that could be simply translated to loops(e.g. tail recursions) Asking for politer term. Considering that the phrase "code smell" is not so diplomatic, I posted another question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/432492/whats-the-politer-word-for-code-smell about the right word for "code smell", er.. utterly bad code.     I'm trying to create my first custom Google Gadget to be used privately in my company's Google Sites intranet. Ideally I'd like to just show a thumbnail that the user can click that will open a modal window with the full video. This requires my including a couple of small JS libraries in my widget.   • How to implement multi relationship in MS SQL?

    I’m trying to design a database to use with ASP.net MVC application. Here is the scenario: There are three entities and users can post their comments for each of these different entities. I just wonder how just put one table for Comments and link all other entities to it. Obviously, Comments table needs 3 references (foreign key) to those tables but as you know these foreign keys can’t be null and just one of them can be filled for each row. Is there any better way than implementing three different tables for each entity’s comments? Cheers Ethan

  • HTTP Content-type header for cached files

    Hello, Using Apache with mod_rewrite, when I load a .css or .js file and view the HTTP headers, the Content-type is only set correctly the first time I load it - subsequent refreshes are missing Content-type altogether and it's creating some problems for me. I can get around this by appending a random query string value to the end of each filename, eg. http://www.site.com/script.js?12345 However, I don't want to have to do that, since caching is good and all I want is for the Content-type to be present. I've tried using a RewriteRule to force the type but still didn't solve the problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian

  • Cannot select/edit TineMCE-generated table

    I'm currently using TinyMCE edit in my drupal-website, problem is that beneath the editor, some of the table is sticking out. If I remove the height set by javascript with firebug, it looks fine, even after resizing. So I want to remove the height with JS, I've put this function at the end of my page: $('table#edit-body_tbl').removeAttr('style'); However nothing happens. I test the function in firebug's console, it works perfectly. Basically, the problem is the JS works, but it wont do anything if I simply load it at the end of the page, even in the document.ready function. The TineMCE script is loaded before my script so I should be able to select/edit/delete elements generated by it no? Does anybody know why or how I can force the page to really load my function in the end(currently it is right in front of the -tag)? Other functions in the script work, except this thing ...

    I am working on a Firefox extension that will involve ajax calls to domains that would normally fail due to the same-origin policy set by Firefox (and most modern browsers). I was wondering if there is a way to either turn off the same-origin restriction (in about:config, perhaps) or if there was a standard lite-browser that developers turn to for this. I really would like to avoid using any blackhat tools, if possible. Not because I'm against them, I just don't want to add another learning curve to the process. I can use curl in PHP to confirm that the requests work, but I want to get started on writing the js that the addon will actually use, so I need a client that will execute js. I also tried spidermonkey, but since I'm doing the ajax with jquery, it threw a fit at all of the browser-based default variables. So, short version: is there a reliable browser/client for cross site scripting that isn't primarily a hacker app? Or can I just turn off same-domain policy in Firefox?

    Hello, I created a rounded box/button and sliced its first corner, the middle bar (which repeats horizontally to adjust the width of the button text/content) and the last corner and used following markup: <div id="left-corner"></div> <div id="middle-bar">About Us</div> <div id="right-corner"></div> These divs have corresponding images from CSS and are floated left. Those three divs create a single rounded button wiht text About Us which is fine. Problem: I have also created similar three slices of hover images but I wonder how to apply hover to those buttons because if I use :hover with these hovered slices, then even hovering on corner images also creates hovering effect. One alternative is to use fixed width buttons and slice buttons completely but I do not want to do that.

    Hi folks. As i understand javascript .js files are best to put all the way at the bottom of html pages, to speed up loading of rest of page. Advised by Yslow(Yahoo) and Page Speed(google). Now, when in the middle of page some thing RUNS a javascript script, in Internet Explorer, i see a small warning message saying that the element is: Uncaught ReferenceError: SWFObject is not defined When i put my all.js file in the had, the error goes away but page load slows doen. What to do? Actually, i remember it was the same with php variables. If i RUN php but the variable comes later, then it just doesnt work. must define the variable first, for it to run. How to make this workflow better, in case of php scripts? and in case of javsscripts? Thanks!

    Ok, I have three different computers that I work from and right now their configurations are all different so I have to push/pull a certain on each and its very bothersome. What I want to do is have ONE config file that I can use for all three that will allow me to do the following: git push unfuddle git pull heroku git push unfuddle git pull heroku And I'm new to git, so I know that maybe I need heroku master or 'heroku origin` or somethign? Now I need to have different sizes of this wiget for the user to choose from. for example I need a medium, small and large size widget. so when the user install the app and hold the the home screen then choose widget, in the widget menu I want him to see three widget with the same app name but with the size. something like this: helloSmall helloMedium helloLarge I have the medium one ready but how can I make the small and the large in the same app? knowing that all three sizes contain the same exact data and actions just the size and the background are different.   • GUI freezing after datagridviews have been updated using backgroundworkers

    I have made an application which runs three backgroundworkers simultaneously. It basically updates three datagridviews, which it is doing spot on. My problem is if I press maximizebox button or anywhere in any of the datagridview the program hangs for quite a long time. I am able to use the horizontal scroll but not vertical scrolls. I have tried Backgroundworker_runworkercompleted and it fires as required after threads have updated their respective datagridviews. Is it a normal behaviour or am i doing something wrong any suggestions would be helpful. P.S: I have run the whole program using step method and their is no infinite loop in the code.   • Eclipse Javascript code assist problem in using WTP

    Hi, I'm new to WTP so excuse me if the solution to this is obvious. When i define and use a class from within the same file i get nice code assist help, i also get code assist for classes from the standard libraries. Unortunatly, when i try to use code and declarations from one file in another file i no longer get t he nice code assist features. I have searched the web and tried a couple of things, making shoure JS is enabled for the project, making sure the folder the scripts are in is added to the JS source folder list and even trying making a new folder with the decleration files in and adding it as a library. I would really like ot get this feature working so any help would be appreciated.
