  • jKey (JavaScript key shortcut plugin) Issue

    Me and a friend are writing a plugin for jQuery that makes it easy for devs to add key shortcuts and we're damn close but no cigar. We're having issues with the key combos. It seems like we are having issues when you call the same selector multiple times on a page. Try pressing alt+a... youll see it works one time, then gets all mangled up. Anyone know how to fix it? It'll be on github after it's corrected and I'd be happy to add "thank you to" link to whoever can fix this in the header with the copyright info :) It's nicely documented and i have all the code and stuff here.   • Getting error in integrating Contacts APIs in Android 1.6 and 2.0

    Hi All, I have seen the BusinessCard example provide in Android examples. I am using ContactAccessor abstract class to seperate out the SDK versions. My code is running fine for 2.0 onwards, but when I am trying to build the code in Adnroid 1.6 I am getting the following errors: Build.VERSION_CODES.ECLAIR is not resolved. Getting errors in the whole class in which I have used Contacts APIs from 2.0 (say in class ContactAccessorSdk5.java). How to resolve these issues? I want to run my App on both the versions.   • [iPhone app] Detecting which key has been pressed in UITextField

    Hi, I have an UITextField object in my view and want to launch a method when user press backspace button and textField is empty. First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. The only way to launch the method is when text length is 0 - press backspace - remain to 0. How to catch the event of pressing the backspace key in my UITextField ? Thanks in advance !

  • Eclipse's Visual Studio Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab Equivalent

    In Visual Studio, I always use Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab to navigate between documents. I see that Eclipse has Ctrl+F6 to navigate between editors, but this isn't nearly the same behavior. The difference being, pressing it once and then again will get you moving back and forth between two files, whereas in VS, it will cause you to navigate forward based on the tab order in the editor. Any ideas on how I can replicate VS's behavior?

    The problem I've encountered is that I am using a keyboardEventListener to make a movieclip run around. As I'm a college student, I'm creating this for an assignment but we are forced to use as3 classes. When I run the code in the maintimeline, there is no problem.   • Handling of data truncation in FUSE

    I expect any good program should do all their reads and writes in a loop until all data written/read without relying that write will write everything (even with regular files). Am I right? Implemented simple FUSE filesystem which only allows reading and writing with small buffers, very often returning that it is written less bytes that in a buffer (using -o direct_io). Some programs work, some not. Are them buggy or programs should not expect truncated writes and reads from the regular files?

  • minLength data validation is not working with Auth component for CakePHP

    Let's say I have a user registration and I'm using the Auth component (/user/register is allowed of course). The problem is if I need to set a minLength validation rule in the model, it doesn't work since the Auth component hashes the password therefore it's always more than my minlength password and it passes even if it's blank.   • Why might my Emacs use spaces instead of tabs?

    I am trying to diagnose this problem. TAB creates 4 spaces instead of a 4 col TAB like I want. But I don't think it should because C-h v indent-tabs-mode on the buffer in question says it is set to t. When I check my keybindings, TAB is set to c-indent-line-or-region. Does this function ignore my tabs-mode?

  • Getting meaningful error messages from fstream's in C++

    What is the best way to get meaningful file access error messages, in a portable way from std::fstreams ? The primitiveness of badbits and failbits is getting to be bit annoying. I have written my own exception hierarchies against win32 and POSIX before, and that was far more flexible than the way the STL does it. I am getting "basic::ios_clear" as an error message from the what method of a downcasted catch (std::exception) of a fstream which has exceptions enabled. This doesn't mean much to me, although I do know what the problem is I'd like my program to be a tad more informative so that when I start deployment a few months later my life will be easier. Is there anything in Boost to extract meaningful messages out of the ofstream's implementation cross platform and cross STL implementation ?

  • F12 no longer works in Visual Studio

    this is driving me crazy, ever since I installed ReSharper 4, F12 no longer seems to work. If you look at the all the ReSharper short cuts in the Goto sub menu Declaration doesn't have any assigned! The only way I can go to declaration is by using ALT and ` and then selecting Declaration. I have tried un-installing and re-installing ReSharper with no luck, I have also, in ReSharper option asked it to use the default Visual Studio Key Bindings but that doesn't to work either. Interestingly, when I do use ALT and ` I actually get two entries for the Declaration option. Has anyone come across this problem I am using Visual Studio 2005 SP1

    Having created my own validation attribute deriving from System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations.ValidationAttribute, I wish to be able to detect from my controller, whether or not that specific attribute was valid on the model. My setup: public class MyModel { [Required] [CustomValidation] [SomeOtherValidation] public string SomeProperty { get; set; } } public class CustomValidationAttribute : ValidationAttribute { public override bool IsValid(object value) { // Custom validation logic here } } Now, how do I detect from the controller whether validation of CustomValidationAttribute succeeded or not? I have been looking at the Exception property of ModelError in the ModelState, but I have no way of adding a custom exception to it from my CustomValidationAttribute. Right now I have resorted to checking for a specific error message in the ModelState: public ActionResult PostModel(MyModel model) { if(ModelState.Where(i => i.Value.Errors.Where((e => e.ErrorMessage == CustomValidationAttribute.SharedMessage)).Any()).Any()) DoSomeCustomStuff(); // The rest of the action here } And changed my CustomValidationAttribute to: public class CustomValidationAttribute : ValidationAttribute { public static string SharedMessage = "CustomValidationAttribute error"; public override bool IsValid(object value) { ErrorMessage = SharedMessage; // Custom validation logic here } } I don't like relying on string matching, and this way the ErrorMessage property is kind of misused. What are my options?

  • Regular Expression - Password Validation is not working

    Hi, I have to validate the password using regex. The password rule is like at least 1 uppercase and at least 2 numeric. It works fine except if the character comes at the end of the string. The regular expression which i am using is "^(?=.*\d.{2})(?=.*[A-Z].{1})(?=.*[@#$%^&+=].{2}).{8,12}$" Rules: minimum length = 8 minimum uppercase = 1 minimum numeric = 2 minimum special character = 1 It works for Test123$$, Test$123, TEST123$s, Test123$1, Test12$3 but it fails if the character specified comes at the end of the string like Test123$, Test$a12, Test12aa@, 123aa@@T. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.
