    I'm trying to build a basic Qt hello world inside visual studio.     I am looking for a simple computer algebra system (cas) for JavaScript but I can't find anything with google. I only need basic functionality: simplify expressions to some canonic form. Ability to check if two expressions are the same, i.e., a(x+y) == ax+ay parse mathematical formulas. I want it to be able to read expressions like ax²+4x. solve simple equations etc. Do you know of such a library?

    I rather enjoy adding practical eye-candy to the networking community I've been developing but as things start to stack up I worry about load times. Is it truly faster to have users load (a hopefully cached) copy of jquery from Google's repositories? Does using jQuery for AJAX calls improve/reduce efficiency over basic javascript xmlHTTP requests? Is there a practical way to cut down the number of included scripts? For example, I include jQuery and jQuery UI from google, table sorter, and a growl plug-in.

Here's a very simple bit of grammar so that I can say ArithmeticParser.parse('2+2').value == 4. grammar Arithmetic rule additive first:number '+' second:number { def value first.value + second.value end } end rule number [1-9] [0-9]* { def value text_value.to_i end } end end Parsing 2+2 works correctly. However, parsing 2 or 22 returns nil. What did I miss?

I wanted to know how can I disable hardware rendering, or at least making it more capable. The basic problem is that the default values of my preferences are getting read fine on the simulator but are coming up NULL on the iPhone.     I'm creating a plot and adding a basic loess smooth line to it. qplot(Age.GTS2004., X.d18O,data=deepsea, geom=c('point')) + geom_smooth(method="loess",se=T,span=0.01, alpha=.5, fill='light blue',color='navy') The problem is that the line is coming out really choppy. I need more evaluation point for the curve in certain areas. Is there a way to increase the number of evaluation points without having to reconstruct geom_smooth?
