    I have an ImageView at the top of my display that looks like the following: +----------------------------------------------+ ¦ ImageView +--------------+ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ Actual image ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ +--------------+ ¦ +----------------------------------------------+ Below this, I have a series of Buttons and TextViews.. I would like the ImageView's height to dynamically increase depending on the max height of the screen. I'm aligning the layout containing the buttons along the bottom of edge of the screen, and I would like the rest of the screen taken up by the above ImageView. Also, since the ImageView contains a centered image, I would also like to set min height, and a scrollbar if the screen is too small to display the imageview and the buttons below. Thanks! Is this possible?

    Hi, I need to use volume buttons to control a variable parameter in my application. I use Activity.onKeyDown to get notified when the button is pressed but the media volume is also increased. Android is doing something like below when I press the volume key: 1. increase media / ringtone volume 2. pass the event to my application Is there a way to avoid increasing the system volume and use volume key only for my application ? Creates the file if it doesn't already exist." so the new file should be created on disk. The problem: When I try to read from the new renamed file I got FileNotFoundException! Thank you!

  • XCode - Multiple targets, Multiple *internationalized* names?

    I've got an internationalized iPhone project. In the various ${lang}.lproj/InfoPlist.strings files I've got a single key, CFBundleName = "My App Name". That's working fine for a single target, but I can't make it work for multiple targets. I'd like to have several translated InfoPlistMyApp.strings files for the main target, plus several InfoPlistMyApp*Lite*.strings files for the lite version. But I can't figure out how to set it up. The InfoPlist.strings name seems to be set in stone, so I can't replace it dynamically. Any ideas?

It appears to work... but I think I would do better to actually UNDERSTAND what is being done there. Why isn't line #3 assigning the value TO something? cell = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"TVCell" owner:self options:nil]; (In fact, cell and tvCell aren't being used at all.) Why is line #4 assigning using tvCell when nothing has been put it in at all, yet? Why is line #5 nulling out the tvCell that I need? Why is "@property (nonatomic, assign) IBOutlet UITableViewCell *tvCell;" using assign, not retain? About the only thing I can't get working correctly is when I put a disclosure-button on my custom cell XIB. Is there a way for me to detect when the user has clicked on it? (Hopefully, without using 100s of TAGs.)

    I'm trying to find the user's location using: CLLocationCoordinate2D _location; CLLocation *userLoc = nil; if(appDelegate.clLocationManager.locationServicesEnabled){ userLoc = mapView.userLocation.location; _location = userLoc.coordinate; } The problem is that I haven't yet initialized the map so the above doesn't work. Is there a way to get the user's location without using mapkit? Or should I be using a different technique?

    Hi! In my UITableView I have custom cells. My UITableView have a repeatable background myTableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage: [UIImage imageNamed: @"backg.png"]]; I set my cells to have their background (clear); UIView *backView = [[[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero] autorelease]; backView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; cell.backgroundView = backView; This makes the cell have the same background as the TableView.. Problem is; That seems that every cell loads myTableView.backgroundColor once again. And the background are not being repeatble as it should. I want to have the cells totally with no background at all, instead they loads up myTableView.backgroundColor once again. Here is one example. Can anyone help me?

I've heard that since version 1.0 it isn't dependant on webkit anymore and it makes app-development more exiting of course, please correct me if i'm wrong. As many people out there i love Javascript Frameworks such as JQuery and Mootools much, but they were build specifically to do a great job within a browser and most of the functionality is not needed within the environment Titanium now provides (DOM-Manipulation etc).     I'm writing iphone app that has UITableView and uses Core Data. Data in UITableView is shown using NSFetchedResultsController. I use NSPredicate operator "IN" to fetch only needed entries. NSArray *filterArray = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"789", @"963", @"445", @"198", nil]; NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"id IN %@", filterArray]; Now the problem is that I need to show entries in same sequence they are in filterArray. How can I do it? How I can create NSSortDescriptor that would sort all entries in that way? I tried without sort descriptor, but I get error that NSFetchedResultsController needs sortDescriptor to be set.

What I want to do is allow the user to take a picture (no problem), translate that picture to text(?) and then do some processing on the text (no problem). Is there any API on android that allows this? or is there any way to programtically communicate with google goggles? I would hate to have the user use goggles then select the saved file with my app.....
