  I tried to find an explicit confirmation on VMware website if there is any chance we could virtualize AIX running on pSeriese architecture (P5, P6 and P7), but in vain. so far we have only one product available which is PowerVM (IBM Product) but we are trying to find alternative solutions to evaluate pros and cons before taking any action. Even Xen mentions the support for Power PC but for Linux not AIX. I hope someone could give an insight on this matter.

  Customer has HP 3050 multifunction. PC is running win7 x64, at IP 10.50.4.x and multifunction is at 10.50.3.1. Went into devices and printers in win7 control panel, and tried to add device. It sees the printer fine, but isn't detecting the scanner device. Tried and failed to manually add hardware via device manager pane. Stumped.

The official site presented to me is http://windows.microsoft.com/de-CH/windows/products/security-essentials, as I am located in Switzerland. The link to the actual package then is http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=231276 Obviously, the download is not secured with https. Why? Would this not be the first thing Microsoft should do? They could deliver the certificate already with the OS to make it really secure...

  I have my Time Machine backups on an external disk (WD My Passport with no hardware encryption) and I'm worried if the data stored on the disk is safe in case somebody steals it and connect it to any Mac/PC.   Hello, I am using Windows Vista, my Motherboard is Intel D102GGC2 The transfer speed through USB is very slow on my PC, just 2-3 MBps... I also use Ubuntu 9.10, and surprisingly the USB transfer speed is as expected, ie 16-17 MBps. So everytime i have to transfer Huge files i have to reboot into Ubuntu. What might be the Problem ??? • Ethernet run tests green but won't connect

  I have a single ethernet run at home that I just added. I have a cable tester that tests for pin/pair crossover or miswired pins. The entire line tests green (all 4 LEDs light up green on the tester) but I can't get any PC to connect through the link. No link light on the ethernet connection. Any simple tests/fixes, or do I rip out the wall sockets and do it again?
