  • Connecting private IPs

    - by Greg Roberts
A friend of mine told me there was a way to connect two private IPs without using a proxy server. The idea was that both computers connected to a public server and some how the server joined the private connections and won't use any more bandwidth. Is this true? How's this technique named? Thanks

  • select SUM in Cake

    - by SpawnCxy
When I tried using follow code to get the sum of the column named Serviceinfo.services $conditions = array('fields'=>array('SUM(Serviceinfo.services) as servicecount'),'conditions'=>array('time_id BETWEEN ? AND ?'=>array($startid,$endtid))); $services = $this->Serviceinfo->find('all',$conditions); I had to fetch the sum data with services[0][0]['servicecount'] which seems a little weird. And What I expect is services['Serviceinfo']['servicecount'],or more simple one. Then how can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

  • Is it possible to make WebLogic check REDEPLOY file more often?

    - by doublep
[sorry for apparent shouting in the title, it's just that the file is named in all uppercase] Given advice in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2695124 I successfully implemented and have been using autodeployment in WebLogic. This works great, but a tad too slow to my tastes, it seems like about 10 seconds pass between touching REDEPLOY file and WebLogic's start of redeployment. Is there any way I can instruct WebLogic to test timestamp on that file more often?

  • wordpress custom post type

    - by codedude
So I've just made a custom post type for my wordpress theme named "Products". When I create a new post in it and view it, the link is something like this: "http://localhost/wordpress/product/a-product-title" This page views as expected but when I try to go to the supposed parent page: "http://localhost/wordpress/product/" I get a 404 error page. Is there a special template I need to make to view this page? Thanks

  • Rails: three most recent comments with unique users

    - by Dennis Collective
what would I put in the named scope :by_unique_users so that I can do Comment.recent.by_unique_users.limit(3), and only get one comment per user? class User has_many :comments end class Comment belongs_to :user named_scope :recent, :order => 'comments.created_at DESC' named_scope :limit, lambda { |limit| {:limit => limit}} named_scope :by_unique_users end on sqlite named_scope :by_unique_user, :group = "user_id" works, but makes it freak out on postgres, which is deployed on production PGError: ERROR: column "comments.id" must appear in the GROUP BY clause or be used in an aggregate function

  • [CakePHP] Can not Bake table model, controller and view

    - by user198003
I developed small CakePHP application, and now I want to add one more table (in fact, model/controller/view) into system, named notes. I had already created a table of course. But when I run command cake bake model, I do not get table Notes on the list. I can add it manually, but after that I get some errors when running cake bake controller and cake bake view. Can you give me some clue why I have those problems, and how to add that new model?

  • AS3 access to properties of movieclip loaded in dynamically

    - by Anne
My movieclip clipArt_mc receives movieclips that are loaded dynamically from a listbox selection using: var myLoader9:Loader = new Loader(); I apply color to clipArt_mc using the following: var trans3:Transform = new Transform(MovieClip(parent).design_mc.clipArt_mc); I would like to access the nested or loaded in movieclip inside of clipArt_mc that has in it a movieclip named color_mc so that I can apply color directly to it instead of clipArt_mc. Can this be done? Thank you in advance for your time. Anne

  • PIL's Image.show() brings up *two* different viewers

    - by DarenW
When toying with images in the python shell, I use image.show(), where image is an instance of Image. Long ago nothing happened, but after defining a symlink to mirage named "xv", I was happy. The last few days, show() will bring up both ImageMagick's display and also Mirage. It's not clear where show() gets information on what to run. Documentation wasn't helpful. How to make it behave and bring up only what it thinks is xv?

  • How stable are Cisco IOS OIDs for querying data with SNMP across different model devices?

    - by Daniel Papasian
I'm querying a bunch of information from cisco switches using SNMP. For instance, I'm pulling information on neighbors detected using CDP by doing an snmpwalk on .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.23 Can I use this OID across different cisco models? What pitfalls should I be aware of? To me, I'm a little uneasy about using numeric OIDs - it seems like I should be using a MIB database or something and using the named OIDs, in order to gain cross-device compatibility, but perhaps I'm just imagining the need for that.
