• Access problem with NSMutableArray

  Hi, my problem is that I can't access my NSMutableArray in - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {}.   Can someone tell me why does this code freeze ie8? It is supposed to generate input fields. I really don't even need the first table except as a way to fill in the combo box on the form from which the user chooses which location they want a report for. Unfortunately, everything I've done has resulted in me getting a lot more data than I should be getting. My confusion is in how to set up the join (presumably that's what I'm looking for here) given that I want both the date and locationID to be the same for each row in the result set. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  I am attempting to narrow results of an existing complex query based on conditional matches on multiple columns within the returned data set. I'll attempt to simplify the data as much as possible here. Assume that the following table structure represents the data that my existing complex query has already selected (here ordered by date): +----+-----------+------+------------+ | id | remote_id | type | date | +----+-----------+------+------------+ | 1 | 1 | A | 2011-01-01 | | 3 | 1 | A | 2011-01-07 | | 5 | 1 | B | 2011-01-07 | | 4 | 1 | A | 2011-05-01 | +----+-----------+------+------------+ I need to select from that data set based on the following criteria: If the pairing of remote_id and type is unique to the set, return the row always If the pairing of remote_id and type is not unique to the set, take the following action: Of the sets of rows for which the pairing of remote_id and type are not unique, return only the single row for which date is greatest and still less than or equal to now. • '<=' operator is not working in sql server 2000

  Hello, Scenario is, database is in the maintenance phase. this database is not developed by ours developer. it is an existing database developed by the 'xyz' company in sql server 2000. This is real time database, where i am working now. I wanted to write the stored procedure which will retrieve me the records From date1 to date 2.so query is : Select * from MyTableName Where colDate>= '3-May-2010' and colDate<= '5-Oct-2010' and colName='xyzName' whereas my understanding I must get data including upper bound date as well as lower bound date. but somehow I am getting records from '3-May-2010' (which is fine but) to '10-Oct-2010' As i observe in table design , for ColDate, developer had used 'varchar' to store the date. i know this is wrong remedy by them. so in my stored procedure I have also used varchar parameters as @FromDate1 and @ToDate to get inputs for SP. this is giving me result which i have explained. i tried to take the parameter type as 'Datetime' but it is showing error while saving/altering the stored procedure that "@FromDate1 has invalid datatype", same for "@ToDate". situation is that, I can not change the table design at all. what i have to do here ? i know we can use user defined table in sql server 2008 , but there is version sql server 2000. which does not support the same.   I have a situation I am getting data from some external sources and is populating into the datatable. The data looks like this DATE WEEK FACTOR 3/26/2010 1 RM_GLOBAL_EQUITY 3/26/2010 1 RM_GLOBAL_GROWTH 3/26/2010 2 RM_GLOBAL_VALUE 3/26/2010 2 RM_GLOBAL_SIZE 3/26/2010 2 RM_GLOBAL_MOMENTUM 3/26/2010 3 RM_GLOBAL_HIST_BETA I have a object model like this public class FactorReturn { public int WeekNo { get; set; } public DateTime WeekDate { get; set; } public Dictionary<string, decimal> FactorCollection { get; set; } } As can be seen that the Date field is always constant. And a single(means unique) week can have multiple FACTORS. i.e. For a date(3/26/2010), for Week No. 1, there are two FACTORS(RM_GLOBAL_EQUITY and RM_GLOBAL_GROWTH). Similarly, For a date(3/26/2010), for Week No. 2, there are three FACTORS(RM_GLOBAL_VALUE , RM_GLOBAL_SIZE and RM_GLOBAL_MOMENTUM ). Now we need to populate this data into our object model. • Databound Label text displays old data upon save. Re-open record and data is correct?

  I have a windows forms application. I have a main form and I have a button on this form to set a "Qualified" date/time stamp. I have a Databound label control that I set the value when the user clicks the button. This date/time stamp is working as far as displaying but when you click the save button it either shows blank or the previous date/time. If you then then close the record and re-open it the new date/time value is displayed so the data is getting to the database it's just not persisting in the dataset as new data?? Not sure why the databinding isn't refreshing the value. I have noticed this behavior even if I use a textbox, same thing if I do it programatically. If I manually type in a value it persists?? • What is causing my spacebar to randomly stop working?

  A couple of times a day, I'll be typing something and realise I can't type spaces. Usually the cursor will flicker instead when I press the spacebar, and I can type all other letters as far as I can tell. If I'm in a terminal the cursor turns from a solid square to an empty square until I release the spacebar. For some reason, restarting compiz with alt-F2 compiz fixes it, until it next occurs. I can still copy and paste spaces from sources that already have them, and I can still insert spaces with ctrl-shift-u, 20, enter. This has been happening for a while, since before I upgraded to maverick, but it feels like its beceoming more frequent. There really doesn't seem to be any kind of a pattern to it. I'm using 64 bit ubuntu 10.10 on a system76 panp7 laptop. Any ideas how I might troubleshoot? I have a hot corner which initiates a window picker, and I've customised the window picking so that left click goes to a window, right click closes one and spacebar zooms in on one. When I go to this hot corner, compiz must take control of my spacebar, and clearly isn't giving it back when I leave the window picker. So I'll be filing a bug against compiz. reported:here

With the help of Compiz Config I have succesfully activated a window picker similar to the one named exposé in Mac OS X (but with more options!). However when I use this function the window I click on/choose is not automatically focused. How can I fix this or is this a bug within Compiz/Scale?

• How to set up dual quadro cards on RHEL 5.5?

  I have a RHEL 5 workstation with 2 nvidia Quadro FX4500 cards, with one display attached to each card. After doing a clean install of RHEL 5.5, the second display doesnt work (it worked ok in RHEL 5.2). Neither separate X screens nor Xinerama are working. The kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 I've tried nvidia drivers 185.18.36 (the ones that i was using on 5.2) and the latest 260.19.36 and neither works. • Challenge: Neater way of currying or partially applying C#4's string.Join

  Background I recently read that .NET 4's System.String class has a new overload of the Join method. This new overload takes a separator, and an IEnumerable<T> which allows arbitrary collections to be joined into a single string without the need to convert to an intermediate string array. Cool! That means I can now do this: var evenNums = Enumerable.Range(1, 100) .Where(i => i%2 == 0); var list = string.Join(",",evenNums); ...instead of this: var evenNums = Enumerable.Range(1, 100) .Where(i => i%2 == 0) .Select(i => i.ToString()) .ToArray(); var list = string.Join(",", evenNums); ...thus saving on a conversion of every item to a string, and then the allocation of an array. The Problem However, being a fan of the functional style of programming in general, and method chaining in C# in particular, I would prefer to be able to write something like this: var list = Enumerable.Range(1, 100) .Where(i => i%2 == 0) .string.Join(","); This is not legal C# though. The closest I've managed to get is this: var list = Enumerable.Range(1, 100) .Where(i => i%2 == 0) .ApplyTo( Functional.Curry<string, IEnumerable<object>, string> (string.Join)(",") ); ...using the following extension methods: public static class Functional { public static TRslt ApplyTo<TArg, TRslt>(this TArg arg, Func<TArg, TRslt> func) { return func(arg); } public static Func<T1, Func<T2, TResult>> Curry<T1, T2, TResult>(this Func<T1, T2, TResult> func) { Func<Func<T1, T2, TResult>, Func<T1, Func<T2, TResult>>> curried = f => x => y => f(x, y); return curried(func); } } This is quite verbose, requires explicit definition of the parameters and return type of the string.Join overload I want to use, and relies upon C#4's variance features because we are defining one of the arguments as IEnumerable rather than IEnumerable. • ASP.NET MVC - PartialView html not changing via jQuery html() call

  When I change the selection in a DropDownList, a PartialView gets updated via a GET request. When updating the PartialView via the jQuery html() function, the html returned is correct but when it displayed in the browser it is not correct. For example, certain checkboxes within the PartialView should become enabled but they remain disabled even though the html returned says they should be. When I do a view source in the browser the html never gets updated. I'm a little perplexed. Thoughts? I know to look at the $_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE'] (not accurate but mostly useful to detect location, for example if an IP range's users set French to their browser then it means that this range) belongs to France and gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']) (to look country code top-level domain) then may be to whois gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']) sometimes: $HTTP_USER_AGENT (Firefox's user agent string has language code, not accurate but mostly can be used to detect the location) But what about cities?

  I have a C# system using 160 bit numbers, stored in a BigInteger. I want to display these things on a circle, which means mapping the 0-2^160 range into the 0-2Pi range. How would I do this? The approach that jumps instantly to mind is angle = (number / pow(2, 160)) * TwoPi; However, that has complexities because the division will truncate the result into an integer.

  I am working on an in-place HTML editor, concentrating on Firefox only right now. I have an element inserted where the cursor should be and also have left and right arrows working, but I can't seem to find a way to find: Start and end of a line for the home and end keys The next line up or down for the up/down arrows. I see document.elementFromPoint, but this doesn't get me a Range object. The Range object itself seems rather useless when it comes to using pixel positions.
