  • Which European conference is the best equivalent of OSCON?

    Looking for a large European developer/software conference, open-source-friendly, programming-language-neutral, platform-neutral, vendor-neutral. Any recommendations? apparently there briefly used to be a Euro OSCON (2004-2006? what happened?) some good language/app-specific ones like EuroPython, EuroSciPy, DjangoCon European BarCamps seem kind of fragmented, esp. for an English-speaking audience anything bigger or better? If there isn't anything, I wonder if O'Reilly would resurrect Euro OSCON.

    Hello All, I am using cakephp 1.3 on LAMP (ubuntu 9.04) platform. Trying the database migration with cakephp inbuilt schema generation script. I am inside the app folder & When i fire a command in the terminal 'cake schema run create schema file name', It is giving me the error that "Error:schema.php could not be included." Can anybody help me out?

    Hello. I have a problem with Android Emulator. I have created avd and run it. But when it was started I can't work, because it emulate typing many "=" symbol. I launch this avd with -debug-all parameter and debuger write "could not handle (sym=61, mod=0, str=EQUAL) KEY [0x00d, down]". OS - Windows Vista. Last version Java platform, SDK, Eclipse.     Hey, For some time I’ve seen employers demanding Sharepoint knowledge from programmers, but I have a problem understanding what it is :/ But today I was at IT training, and the main guy said something like: “Sharepoint is platform for commit code for programmer, control of version etc...” Is that true?     Hi, I'm trying to run tinyMCE texteditor in ASP.NET 2.0 + 3.5 but I get the following error in my web.config file.. An error occurred loading a configuration file: Failed to start monitoring changes to '###\Visual Studio 2005\WebSites\TinyMCE\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\langs' because the network BIOS command limit has been reached. For more information on this error, please refer to Microsoft knowledge base article 810886. Hosting on a UNC share is not supported for the Windows XP Platform. Any ideas how to solve this?

    What is the most efficient way to clone a JavaScript object? I've seen: obj = eval(uneval(o)); but that's not cross platform (FF only). I've done (in Mootools 1.2) things like this: obj = JSON.decode(JSON.encode(o)); but question the efficiency. I've also seen recursive copying function, etc. I'm pretty surprised that out-of-the-box JavaScript doesn't have a method for doing this.
