    Question: How can you use the JQuery Auto-Completion plugin to suggest a location ("City, State") for an input field? Meaning, someone wants to type in "Chicago, IL" ... so they begin typing "Chi" and it auto-suggestions "Chicago, IL". My biggest hurdles is finding a service that I can query to find out all US city+state names. I essentially want to do what the StackOverflow "Tags" input form works but form "City, State" auto completion.

    As the title sais: How can I use the Restful Authentication Plugin with Ruby on Rails. When I want to create a new user, it requires me a (wrong-named, confusing field) login (= username), email address and password. However, I want, like Facebook does, only require the user to enter an email address and password, not a username. People will also login with this email address. Can anyone help me?

    I'd like to use the google charts API to create a step chart for my Rails application. Preferably using the annotated timeline Google has (since it has a nice wrapper plugin for rails): http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/annotatedtimeline.html However, there doesn't seem to be a way to create a step chart using the annotated timeline or any other chart in the Google API. I'm looking to make a plot like this: If there is no way to do this with the google API, is there an alternative graphing library that can handle such a task?

    Hello, I am using Google Docs in my project using its API. I am loading docs in modal window iframe using http://fancybox.net/ a jquery plugin It works fine but when in Google Docs Save and Close button is press, it closes the iframe and redirects the current page to Google Docs, So is there any way I can prevent the redirection to Google Docs and just close the modal window? Thank You.

I am looking for a rails plugin/gem that would easily do that, ie : current_user.backup() = backup_file current_user.restore(backup_file) = database import/replace I don't know if my question is very clear, but i would like to backup every user's related object (posts, comments, etc) and to be able to restore them from a backup file. Is there a way to throw up an error and prevent the keypress from actually outputting anything if the user tries to use any character other than numbers and letters? Basically I don't want to show the tag in the testimonial viewed in a block on the front page but rather I do want it to show on another page.
