  How do I model having multiple Addresses for a Company and assign a single Address to a Contact? Contacts belong_to a Company. A Company has_many Contacts. A Company also has_many Addresses. And each Contact has_one Address. I want to be able, whenever I create a New Contact, to access all the addresses in all Contacts that belong to the Company.   I would like to customize my titlebar, minimize-, maximize- and the close-button. So I used setUndecorated(true); on my JFrame, but I still want to be able to resize the window. What is the best way to implement that? I have a border on the RootPane, and I could use MouseListeners on the Border or the RootPane.   I am not sure am I doing these correct. I have 3 models, Account, User, and Event. Account contains a group of Users. Each User have its own username and password for login, but they can access the same Account data under the same Account. Events is create by a User, which other Users in the same Account can also read or edit it. I created the following migrations and models. All traffic is already routed through -j REDIRECT, socat and remote SOCSK5 server, so intercepting unencrypted content should be easy. How it's better to add a message? Just inserting <div style="color:white; background-color:red">Sorry, connect_me access point is going down soon...</div> as the first element of <body> breaks design of some pages (f.e. Wikipedia). • How can I add file locations to a database after they are uploaded using a Perl CGI script?

  I have a CGI program I have written using Perl. One of its functions is to upload pics to the server. All of it is working well, including adding all kinds of info to a MySQL db. My question is: How can I get the uploaded pic files location and names added to the db? I would rather that instead of changing the script to actually upload the pics to the db. I have heard horror stories of uploading binary files to databases. Since I am new to all of this, I am at a loss. Have tried doing some research and web searches for 3 weeks now with no luck. Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated. I would really hate to have to manually add all the locations/names to the db. I am using: a Perl CGI script, MySQL db, Linux server and the files are being uploaded to the server. I AM NOT looking to add the actual files to the db. Just their location(s).

  I'm trying to load several images by a drop action and than resizing them and adding them as a thumbnail. The resize part is very important because the images can be very large and I want to make the thumbnails small of size. When a file is loaded I add html to an array which I will print if the load is complete. The problem is I can't seem to add the img object (I need this object to resize the image) to the html string, which seems obvious as the img is an object... So my question to you guys is: how do I do this? :)

Thus, adding them together creates a new string. So, I was wondering, what is the best way to add two strings together, when focusing on performance?   Hi chaps, I'm trying to get started with cometd (http://cometd.org/) and jetty 6 or 7, but I seem to be having problems. I've got an ant script that packages my code up into a war with the cometd 1.1.1 binaries and jetty binaries that are appropriate to the version of jetty I deploy the war to (so 7.1.2.v20100523 binaries when I deploy to jetty 7.1.2.v20100523 and 6.1.24 when I deploy to 6.1.24). • makefile pathing issues on OSX

  OK, I thought I would try one last update and see if it gets me anywhere. I've created a very small test case. This should not build anything, it just tests the path settings. Also I've setup the path so there are no spaces. The is the smallest, simplest test case I could come up with. This makefile will set the path, echo the path, run avr-gcc -v with the full path specified and then try to run it without the full path specified. • Why won't my AJAX controls work? (and ajax for .net 4 not working?)

  I'm totally new to ajax. I'm using VS2005. I just downloaded .NET framework 4 and so then I downloaded ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net4 via [http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/releases/view/43475] (as opposed to ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net35 for .NET 3.5), but when I try to load the ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll into my toolbox (as said in the tutorials), I get the following error msg: "'C:......\ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll' is not a microsoft .NET module." First question: Why is this happening? So I tried downloading the "Recommended" ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net35, and it accepted the .dll file and loaded all my controls. So, I started a new website and tried to check out a combobox, and it displays, but IE is giving the follow error msg: 'Sys.Extended.UI.PositioningMode.BottomLeft' is null or not an object.' 2nd question: Why is this happening? • Remove file from git repository (history)

  (solved, see bottom of the question body) Looking for this for a long time now, what I have till now is: http://dound.com/2009/04/git-forever-remove-files-or-folders-from-history/ and http://progit.org/book/ch9-7.html Pretty much the same method, but both of them leave objects in pack files... Stuck. What I tried: git filter-branch --index-filter 'git rm --cached --ignore-unmatch file_name' rm -Rf .git/refs/original rm -Rf .git/logs/ git gc Still have files in the pack, and this is how I know it: git verify-pack -v .git/objects/pack/pack-3f8c0...bb.idx | sort -k 3 -n | tail -3 And this: git filter-branch --index-filter "git rm -rf --cached --ignore-unmatch file_name" HEAD rm -rf .git/refs/original/ && git reflog expire --all && git gc --aggressive --prune The same... Tried git clone trick, it removed some of the files (~3000 of them) but the largest files are still there... I have some large legacy files in the repository, ~200M, and I really don't want them there... And I don't want to reset the repository to 0 :( SOLUTION: This is the shortest way to get rid of the files: check .git/packed-refs - my problem was that I had there a refs/remotes/origin/master line for a remote repository, delete it, otherwise git won't remove those files (optional) git verify-pack -v .git/objects/pack/#{pack-name}.idx | sort -k 3 -n | tail -5 - to check for the largest files (optional) git rev-list --objects --all | grep a0d770a97ff0fac0be1d777b32cc67fe69eb9a98 - to check what files those are git filter-branch --index-filter 'git rm --cached --ignore-unmatch file_names' - to remove the file from all revisions rm -rf .git/refs/original/ - to remove git's backup git reflog expire --all --expire='0 days' - to expire all the loose objects (optional) git fsck --full --unreachable - to check if there are any loose objects git repack -A -d - repacking the pack git prune - to finally remove those objects

I thought that this could be done by defining a custom category, example.custom.ACTIVITY, and in the mainActivity use the packageManager.queryIntentActivities(Intent intent, int flags) but it doesn't seem to be working. I really would like to code it to dinamically discover the installed activities in my application. Do you have any ideas on how to do this? Thank you

  Hello Experts, i would be very thankfull if you can explain to me, how in theory the "Interceptor/Filter" Pattern in ByteStreams (over Sockets/Channels) work (in Asynchronous IO with netty) in regard to encryption or compression of data. Given I have a Filter that does GZIPPING. How is this internally implemented? Does the Filter "collect" so many bytes form the channel, that this is a usefull number of bytes that can then be en/decoded? What is in general the minimal "blocksize(data to encode/decode in a chunk)" of socket based gzipping? Does this "blocksize" have to be negotiated in advance between server and client? What happens if the client does not send enough data to "fill" the blocksize (due to a network conquestion) but does not close the connection. Does this mean the other side will simply wait until it gets enough bytes to decode or until a timeout occoures...How is the Filter pattern the applied? The compression filter will de/compress the blocksize of bytes and then store them again in the same buffer would (in the case of netty) i normally be using the ChannelHanlderContext to pass the de/encoded data to the next filter?... Any explanations/links/tutorials (for beginners;-) will be very much appreciated to help me understand how for example encryption/compressing are implemented in socket based communication with filters/interceptor pattern. thank you very much tom
