• How to deploy 2 Sharepoint page leyouts

  I have a problem to deploy two page layouts, I can deploy one page layout with no problem but if I add another one the first one gets the same layout as the newly added second page layout... • .Net Custom Configuration Section and Saving Changes within PropertyGrid

  If I load the My.Settings object (app.config) into a PropertyGrid, I am able to edit the property inside the propertygrid and the change is automatically saved. PropertyGrid1.SelectedObject = My.Settings I want to do the same with a Custom Configuration Section. Following this code example (from here http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vb/SerializePropertyGrid.aspx), he is doing explicit serialization to disk when a "Save" button is pushed. • Storage model for various user setting and attributes in database?

  I'm currently trying to upgrade a user management system for one web application. This web application is used to provide remote access to various networking equipment for educational purposes. All equipment is assigned to various pods, which users can book for periods of time. The current system is very simple - just 2 user types: administrators and students. All their security and other attributes are mostly hardcoded. I want to change this to something like the following model: user <-- (1..n)profile <--- (1..n) attributes. I.e. user can be assigned several profiles and each profile can have multiple attributes. At runtime all profiles and attributes are merged into single active profile. Some examples of attributes i'm planning to implement: EXPIRATION_DATE - single value, value type: date, specifies when user account will expire; ACCESS_POD - single value, value type: ref to object of Pod class, specifies which pod the user is allowed to book, user profile can have multiple such attributes with different values; TIME_QUOTA - single value, value type: integer, specifies maximum length of time for which student can reserve equipment. CREDIT_CHARGING - multi valued, specifies how much credits will be assigned to user over period of time. (Reservation of devices will cost credits, which will regenerate over time); Security permissions and user preferences can end up as profile or user attributes too: i.e CAN_CREATE_USERS, CAN_POST_NEWS, CAN_EDIT_DEVICES, FONT_SIZE, etc.. This way i could have, for example: students of course A will have profiles STUDENT (with basic attributes) and PROFILE A (wich grants acces to pod A). Students of course B will have profiles: STUDENT, PROFILE B(wich grants to pod B and have increased time quotas). I'm using Spring and Hibernate frameworks for this application and MySQL for database. For this web application i would like to stay within boundaries of these tools. The problem is, that i can't figure out how to best represent all these attributes in database. I also want to create some kind of unified way of retrieveing these attributes and their values. Here is the model i've come up with.   Hi, I have a user control which encapsulates a NumericUpDownExtender. This UserControl implements the interface ICallbackEventHandler, because I want that when a user changes the value of the textbox associated a custom event to be raised in the server. By the other hand each time an async postback is done I shoe a message of loading and disable the whole screen. This works perfect when something is changed in for example an UpdatePanel through this lines of code: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest( function (sender, args) { var modalPopupBehavior = $find('programmaticSavingLoadingModalPopupBehavior'); modalPopupBehavior.show(); } ); The UserControl is placed inside a detailsview which is inside an UpdatePanel in an aspx. When the custom event is raised I want another textbox in the aspx to change its value. So far, When I click on the UpDownExtender, it goes correctly to the server and raises the custom event, and the new value of the textbox is assigned in the server. but it is not changed in the browser. I suspect that the problem is the callback, since I have the same architecture for a UserControl with an AutoCompleteExtender which implement IPostbackEventHandler and it works. Any clues how can I solve this here to make the UpDownNumericExtender user control to work like the AutComplete one? Basically, I want to do what everyone else wants to do when they create a polymorphic relationship in a :has_many, :through way… but I want to do it in a module. I keep getting stuck and think I must be overlooking something simple. • Updating the value of a math equation with YUI slider and simple radio buttons.

  I have a form that is used to show a price for a product. I have a YUI slider setup that changes the price, and it works perfectly. Now I'm trying to add in radio buttons that also should update that same price value. The price displayed should take into account all 3 fields, and update dynamically as any are updated. • Calling end invoke on an asynchronous call when an exception has fired in WCF.

  Hey, I currently have an asynchronous call with a callback, which fires this method on completion: private void TestConnectionToServerCallback(IAsyncResult iar) { bool result; try { result = testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke(iar); Console.WriteLine("Connection made!"); } catch (EndpointNotFoundException e) { Console.WriteLine("Server Timeout. Are you connected?"); result = false; } ... } With the EndpointNotFoundException firing when the server is down or no connection can be made. My question is this, if I want to recall the testConnectionDelegate with some kind of re-try button, must I first call testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke where the exception is caught? When I do call end invoke in the catch, I get another exception on result = testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke(iar); whenever I call this method for the second time. This is "CommunicationObjectFaultedException". I'm assuming this is because I didn't end it properly, which is what I think I have to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - James

I use the package tyaml_2.0.1_complete from if-20 Project. It includes TYPO3 4.7.4 + YAML and many extensions. Facebook like button, Twitter and G+ buttons have been integrated to News extension by Georg Ringer. What I need is; I want to place the same buttons (fblike, fbshare, twitter and G+) buttons at the end of every content element automatically. I am searching web for more than 2 weeks, and read many pages about it, but all of them are for the coders. I couldn't find a solution yet.I can apply them if all steps are written one by one, and clearly. For example; http://www.typo3tutorials.net/2012/06/typoscript-wrap-content-elemtents-with.html But my TYPO3 package uses fluid template and don't know how to apply it exactly. Please could you give me a link (in any language) explaining how to integrate these buttons to the end of "text" or "text with image" ce? Or can you write them step by step. Thanks much.

• My framework will utilise other frameworks, but I'd like this to be transparent to the end-user

  I'm building a framework, which aims to provide a new development environment for the user, but I need to use things like RegexKit and almost certainly some other established frameworks in order to do this. Any functionality exposed from such frameworks would be abstracted through classes and methods in my own framework for maintenance reasons (allowing me to change my mind on which dependencies I want). In an ideal world I just want to ship a single .framework. However I'm aware that unlike with standard bundles and applications it is not possibile to embed a framework inside the framework bundle. Do I have any other option other than to tell the end user that they must also install RegexKit and any other dependencies? I have a feeling this lessens the appeal value of the easy to use embedded framework I'd envisaged building. Right now I'm feeling like I have some limited options: Force the user to install the dependencies. Write my own classes that provide the same functionality -- ugh! If at all possible, try to statically link the third party frameworks (is this possible??) My end-product is ideally a single .framework bundle that uses @rpath and so can be installed in the system or simply bundled with the app that uses it.

• Python CGI Premature end of script error depending on script parameters.

  I have a python script which should parse a file and produce some output to disk, as well as returning a webpage linking to the outputted files. When run with a file posted from the HTML form I get no HTML output back, just a 500 error page and the error_log contains the line: [Mon Apr 19 15:03:23 2010] [error] [client xxx.xxx.121.79] Premature end of script headers: uploadcml.py, referer: http://xxx.ch.cam.ac.uk:9000/ However, the files which the script should be saving are indeed saved to disk. If I run it without any arguments, the script returns the correct HTML indicating no file was parsed. All the information I have found on the web about Premature end of script headers implies it is due to either a missing header, or lack of permissions on the python script but neither can apply to me. The first lines of the script are: #!/home/nwe23/bin/bin/python import cgitb; cgitb.enable() import cgi import pybel,openbabel import random print "Content-Type: text/html" print so when run, I can see no way for it to fail to output the header, and it DOES output the header when run without a file to parse, but when given a file produces the error(but still parsed the file and saves the output to disk!). Does anyone know how this is happening and what can be done to fix it? I have tried adding wrongly-indented gibberish (such as foobar) at various points in the file, and this results in adding an indent error to the error_log wherever it is, even if its the very last line in the script. The Premature script headers error remains though. Does this mean the script is executing all the way through?

  Could someone explain to me why adding a virtual function to the end of a class declaration avoids binary incompatibility? If I have: class A { public: virtual ~A(); virtual void someFuncA() = 0; virtual void someFuncB() = 0; virtual void other1() = 0; private: int someVal; }; And later modify this function to: class A { public: virtual ~A(); virtual void someFuncA(); virtual void someFuncB(); virtual void someFuncC(); virtual void other1() = 0; private: int someVal; }; I get a coredump from another .so compiled against the previous declaration. But if I put someFuncC() at the end of the class declaration (after "int someVal"), I don't see coredump anymore. Could someone tell me why this is? And does this trick always work? PS. compiler is gcc, does this work with other compilers?

• In Perl, how can I wait for threads to end in parallel?

  I have a Perl script that launches 2 threads,one for each processor. I need it to wait for a thread to end, if one thread ends a new one is spawned. It seems that the join method blocks the rest of the program, therefore the second thread can't end until everything the first thread does is done which sort of defeats its purpose. I tried the is_joinable method but that doesn't seem to do it either.
