• Integrating a C project in the iPhone SDK

  Hello, This is my first time doing this sort of project so apologies if the question is silly. I've got a question about using a C project with a project in the iPhone SDK. I've dragged and dropped the C project into the iPhone project in Xcode (so it appears in the screenshot below). sjeng.h is a file inside GameEngine.xcodeproj, but when I try to include the header file, I not only receive an error, but the file it is looking for seems to be capitalized whereas the import statement is not. (I would post a screenshot but this is my first time doing something on stack overflow and I need more reputation points. • Wordpress auto excerpts from post content?

  I'm trying to create an auto generated post excerpt from the current page's post content using a function in my theme's header file. The post excerpt will be used as the page's meta description. Can someone give me an idea of how you might go about this once you've got the post content into a string variable? The somewhat tricky part is that, in order to predict a viable stopping point for the post excerpt, I'd like to specify that the cutoff point be the end of the first paragraph of text. And for that reason, it does not make sense to load the entire post content into the string I'm using. Can I grab the first paragraph without having to load the entire post content string? And I'm not certain how to test for that in php. Would regex be the only way?

• How to get DataGridViewRow from CellFormatting event?

  I have a DataGridView and handle event CellFormatting. It has a parameter called: DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e With e.RowIndex in it. When i do: DataGridView.Rows[e.RowIndex] I get proper row from collection. But when I click at a header of a column to sort it by other column than default one and user DataGridView.Rows[e.RowIndex] I get unproper row. It is because Rows collection do not reflect order of rows in DataGridView. So how to get propert DataGridViewRow from RowIndex in DataGridView?

• URL flow when writing a wizard in PHP

  Hello, I am writing a basic wizard for my web site. It will have 4 steps, and each needs to have its own URL. Each step must first validate a form before moving on. If the form for a given step fails to validate, I don't want the URL to change. But if it passes, I do want it to move on. What is the preferred way to write this? Using javascript alone to validate is not secure enough. I have 2 ideas so far but I don't love either: 1) Post the form to the same script and use a header() redirect to the next step if it passes. 2) Send an ajax post to validate and then use location.href to send user to the next step if it passes. • Problem with ajax and posting non-latin characters

  Posting non-latin based languages with ajax + jquery doesn't save to mysql the correct text. What I have done is this: I am getting multiple translated words from Google's translation api. The ajax request is showing the correct translations for all languages. But when i try and insert this into the db it shows up in php my admin as garbled text I added AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 to .htaccess file on the root. I tried setting the header in php to utf-8 and this did not work. I have tried adding a contentType to ajax setup but this didn't work also. Any suggestions appreciated. jason

• Include everything, Separate with "using"

  I'm developing a C++ library. It got me thinking of the ways Java and C# handle including different components of the libraries. For example, Java uses "import" to allow use of classes from other packages, while C# simply uses "using" to import entire modules. My questions is, would it be a good idea to #include everything in the library in one massive include and then just use the using directive to import specific classes and modules? Or would this just be down right crazy? EDIT: Good responses so far, here are a few mitigating factors which I feel add to this idea: 1) Internal #includes are kept as normal (short and to the point) 2) The file which includes everything is optionally supplied with the library to those who wish to use it3) You could optionally make the big include file part of the pre-compiled header

• How to deal with many to many relationships with NSFetchedResultsController?

  OK so I have two entities in my data model (let's say entityA and entityB), both of these entities have a to-many relationship to each other. I have setup a NSFetchedResultsController to fetch a bunch of entityA. Now I'm trying to have the section names for the tableview be the title of entityB. sectionNameKeyPath:@"entityB.title" Now this causes a problem, where by the section name returned from that relationship appears to be ({title1}) or ({title1,title2...titleN}) obviously depending on how many different entityB's are involved. This doesn't look great in a tableview and doesn't group the objects as I would like. What I would like is a section per entityB title with entityA appearing under each section, under multiple sections if necessary. I'm at a loss as how I am supposed to achieve this whether I need to update the predicate to get the entity to appear multiple times or whether I need to update the section and header functions to do some processing as the controller loops through the objects.   hi , i want to implement a web service which is both in java and .net.but i will first create a wcf service and later convert the code to java . for securing the webservice , i have this in my mind. i shall be implementing asp.net form authentication type of stuff . i intent to sent a token to the client on providing valid userID and password to the login method. in return i would send a token. on all other service operations i shall check the token . Now i have a wcf client and a wcf service . what should be the shortest way forward ?should i use soap auth header to send the user ID and password and how should the token be transported ( in which field ? http or soap's ?) . P.S: of course i shall enable ssl later.

• What HTTP redirect status should I use to link offsite?

  While randomly browsing my website via Google, I noticed that it was showing up remote redirects as local files. Now this can be both good and bad, but I'm wondering how can I fix this so it doesn't happen? I'm currently using PHP and header('Location: ... which sends a 302 redirect. Looking over the list of HTTP status codes, I'd take a guess that I should be using 303 redirects to redirect offsite. Is anyone able to help me here, and either confirm/deny this, or tell me what I should be doing instead? Obviously, due to me not being able to tell Google to reindex my site on command, there's issues with being able to test this myself...

• wp_redirect acting weird. requires die() afterward?

  probably something simple how do i get google analytics to detect traffic that comes from a website that redirects to another? i.e someone visits www.abc.com, and are redirected to another site <?php header("Location:www.cde.com"); ?> how do i track these hits? nothing comes up..as i guess it's not strictly a "referrer". hope this makes sense..thanks or is there a better way to do this? I want to track hits on anyone visiting domain X, which redirects to another site. Essentially we are doing a radio campaign with this new domain and would like to measure its effectiveness. thanks

• Access MP3 audio data independently of ID3 tags?

  Hi, this is a 2 part question. First off, is it possible to access the audio data in an MP3 independently of the ID3 tags, and secondly, is there any way to do so using available libraries? I recently consolidated my music collection from 3 computers and ended up with songs which had changed ID3 tags, but the audio data itself was unmodified. Running a search for duplicate files failed because the file changed with the ID3 tag change, but I think it should be possible to identify duplicate files if I just run a deduplication using the audio data for comparison. I know that it's possible to seek to a particular position past the ID3 header in the file, and directly read the data, but was wondering if there's a library that would expose the audio data so I could just extract the data, run a checksum on it, and store the computed result somewhere, then look for identical checksums. (Also, I'd probably have to use some kind of library when you take into account variable length headers.)

• Why does my custom component raise AVs in the IDE?

  I'm trying to write a simple component that will allow you to embed one or more SDL rendering surfaces on a Delphi window, using the SDL 1.3 APIs. It will compile and install just fine, but when I try to use the component in the form designer, it raises AVs whenever I try to access its properties in the object inspector, save the form, or delete the component, and placing one on a form then trying to run gives a linker error: it apparently can't read the DFM properly for whatever reason. The DLL can be found at http://www.libsdl.org/tmp/SDL-1.3-dll.zip and the source code to my component can be downloaded here. SDL.pas is a JEDI-SDL header file; the rest is my own code. I don't see any reason for this to raise AVs in the form designer. If I dynamically create the control at runtime I don't have any stability issues. Can anyone take a look at this and maybe provide some feedback that might help me clear it up?

  To make a long story short: To add insult to injury, CMake actually ran fine several times. I was wrestling with a compiler error when CMake suddenly didn't feel like working anymore. • Excel 2003 VSTO convert to PDF

  I have an excel workbook vsto solution that needs to generate a pdf copy of one of its sheets as output. I have a license for abcdpdf .net and tried outputting to html, then using abcpdf to convert the html to pdf, but the excel html markup tries to emulate excel with all 4 worksheets with horrible markup. It also messes up the colors (silver background across entire workbook). Any suggestions? Here is the code I'm currently using to generate the html file: FileInfo excelDoc = new FileInfo(Globals.ThisWorkbook.Path + @"\Document.html"); Globals.Sheet2.SaveAs(excelDoc.FullName, Excel.XlFileFormat.xlHtml, missing, missing, false, false, Excel.XlSaveAsAccessMode.xlNoChange, missing, missing, missing); If I hack away some of the html header tags manually, I can get abcdpf to accept it, but the formatting is a bit off and this solution seems sub optimal. • RESTful web services - best way to return result of an operation?

  I am designing a RESTful API and I would like to know what the most RESTful way is to return details about an operation. E.g. an operation on a resource occurs when some data is POSTed to a URL. HTTP status codes will indicate either success or failure for the operation. But apart from success/failure I need to indicate some other info to the client, such as an ID number. So my question is, should the ID number be returned in an XML document in the response content, or should it be returned in some custom HTTP header fields? Which is more in line with the principles of REST? Or am I free to choose.
