Can anyone help me tweak this so it will also match if it is at the end of the string?

    Hi, I'm using preg_replace to create urls for modrewrite based paging links. I use: $nextURL = preg_replace('%/([\d]+)/%','/'.($pageNumber+1).'/',$currentURL); which works fine, however I was wondering if there is a better way without having to include the '/' in the replacement parameter. I need to match the number as being between two / as the URLs can sometimes contain numbers other than the page part. These numbers are never only numbers however, so have /[\d]+/ stops them from getting replaced.

    This is what i want to do: $line = 'blabla translate("test") blabla'; $line = preg_replace("/(.*?)translate\((.*?)\)(.*?)/","$1".translate("$2")."$3",$line); So the result should be that translate("test") is replaced with the translation of "test". The problem is that translate("$2") passes the string "$2" to the translate function. So translate() tries to translate "$2" instead of "test". Is there some way to pass the value of the match to a function before replacing?

  • Cisco SR520w FE - WAN Port Stops Working

    I have setup a Cisco SR520W and everything appears to be working. After about 1-2 days, it looks like the WAN port stops forwarding traffic to the Internet gateway IP of the device. If I unplug and then plug in the network cable connecting the WAN port of the SR520W to my Comcast Cable Modem, traffic startings flowing again. Also, if I restart the SR520W, the traffic will flow again. Any ideas?   • [AS 3.0] How to use the string.match method to find multiple occurrences of the same word in a strin

    In Actionscript and Adobe Flex, I'm using a pattern and regexp (with the global flag) with the string.match method and it works how I'd like except when the match returns multiple occurrences of the same word in the text. In that case, all the matches for that word point only to the index for the first occurrence of that word. For example, if the text is "cat dog cat cat cow" and the pattern is a search for cat*, the match method returns an array of three occurrences of "cat", however, they all point to only the index of the first occurrence of cat when i use indexOf on a loop through the array. I'm assuming this is just how the string.match method is (although please let me know if i'm doing something wrong or missing something!). I want to find the specific indices of every occurrence of a match, even if it is of a word that was already previously matched. I'm wondering if that is just how the string.match method is and if so, if anyone has any idea what the best way to do this would be. Thanks.

    I know this may sound a little confusing, so I am open to suggestions on renaming the title. Basically I have string such as C:...\Downloads\Folder\SubFolder\SubSubFolder. and I want to return the SubFolder and SubSubFolder only. So far, my Regex looks like (?=\\Downloads\\.*?\\).* which matches Downloads\Folder\SubFolder\SubSubFolder. Does anybody have any Ideas what I am missing???? All the solutions below seem to work (except if you didn't know "Folder"). Potentially a bug with the tool I was using to test the regular expressions.

My main problem is that my regex matches the name of the show with a preceding '.'. I realize I could simply do: var.strip(".") However, that doesn't handle the case of "Name.Of.Show.0101". Is there a way I could improve the regex to handle that case better? Thanks in advance.

    I used the auto-complete function in jquery. It's data source are the results from a php-back-end. $("#ice_id").autocomplete("ice-ver.php", { extraParams : { flavour_id: $("#flavour_id").val() } }); Let us take following example: We type in the flavour ID 3992 ...(and 3992 exists in the database and is properly returned by the php backend). If we type in now 3992999 the auto-complete function should top showing anything up ...but unfortunately it still does, (could the problem lie within the fact that I am using integers instead of strings or chars?)     I really need some help with my query. I am trying to merge two tables together, but I only want the data were Cast_Date and Sched_Cast_Date are the same. I try to run the query but I get the error missing keyword in the line 21 column 13. I am sure that this is not the only potential error that I have. Could someone help me to get this query up and running?     Here is my problem. It's probably a simple fix. I have a regex that I am using to replace a url BBCode. What I have right now that is not working looks like this. <?php $input_string = '[url=www.test.com]Test[url]'; $regex = '/\[url=(.+?)](.+?)\[\/url]/is'; $replacement_string = '<a href="$1">$2</a>'; echo preg_replace($regex, $replacement_string, $input_string); ?> This currently outputs the original $input_string, while I would like it to output the following. <a href="www.test.com">Test</a> What am I missing?

  • On Mac, two jpg's whose color should match do not

    So I'm designing a myspace page and I have two images, one is a repeating bg image, and another is an image which loads on a layer above it, which acts as a header/masthead. For some reason, on Macs only, and only in the browser (tested in safari and ff), the masthead renders slightly darker than the repeating bg image, creating this color inconsistency. The block that extends up behind the album artwork is a solid box made with css which blocks some of myspace's standard content. It actually renders as the proper color, blending in well with the bottom portion of this image, which is the repeating part of the background, but becomes noticeable as it extends up, over the masthead, which is darker than it should be. Both images where created in GIMP and saved as jpg's using, as far as i can tell, the same settings. Here's the pic of what is going on: Screenshot - Click Me!!! What i need to do is find out if value in column D in the company data is between the min/max in worksheet 2 output answer in worksheet 2. Please can someone help.
