  • Java/Eclipse Dependency mapping / graphing tool - Where is a JAR being used in my project?

    Hi All, I have a JAR on the build path of a medium sized Java application and I would like to know where it's used. At the most basic level if someone could tell me how to 'Find References' for a Jar that would be great. Whilst I'm looking at dependencies it would be great to find a tool that would map all of my package / external library usages and graph them. I used to have a free plug-in for eclipse that did just that but I haven't been able to rediscover it. Thanks, Gav

  • Reading HTTP headers from JAX-WS Web Service

    Hi all, I currently have a JAX-WS Web Service that receives some credentials in the HTTP header. These are used for BASIC authentication. There is a filter that performs authentication by reading the HTTP headers and checking against the database. Still, I need the username from within the Web Service in order to perform other service logic related stuff. Is there a way of accessing the HTTP headers from within the Web Service? Thanks.

  • Are there any programmable barcode scanners that can call a webservice?

    I am looking at integrating a C# application with a barcode scanner. The last time I did this was with Delphi 1 (win 3.11) using a scanner that plugged in-line into the keyboard cable. Looking around it appears most scanners are USB based these days and assume they emulate keyboard entry. Anybody know of more sophisticated/programmable scanner that can call a webservice or even just do a basic POST/GET this would eliminate the C# application and the computer to support it?

    I'm looking at adding a user comment ticker to my iPhone/iPad polling app (Show of Hands). The comments would obviously need to be pulled from a central web source - either a database or perhaps even simple flat files. The ticker would also need to support basic controls (speed, pause, etc.) Can anyone that had tried doing something like this point me to your work and/or pass along any implemetation ideas?     Currently, my code would construct the GWT form, which user would submit directly to openId (or any authenticaiton service). Such a method works fine. However, what if I had the gwt page server access the OpenID provider, is there a way/strategy for the server to mediate authentication between its client and the auth provider? I wish to know the answers with respect to GAE as the proxy and, regardless if GAE or Tomcat is the intended proxy, answers wrt Google Accounts OpenID OAuth If so, it would be wonderful if someone could describe the installation strategy.

  • MVC Forms Authentication with custom database

    I'm trying to get forms authentication working for an mvc site. I have a custom database with a users table, and I would like to do my own password validation. I am logging in my user like this: if (PasswordHasher.Hash(password) == dataUser.Password) { FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(email, true); return true; } The problem is, when the session expires obviously the user has to login again. I am thinking I should be storing this Auth cookie in my users table? Update: I'm obviously in desperate need of more education in this area. I just noticed that the user stays authenticated even after an iisreset. I guess what I'm asking is how can I get persistent and non persistent authentication working properly. I want a user to not have to login again if they click "remember", and if they don't then their authentication should expire when the forms authentication is set to expire.

  • Is this a possible way to get Drupal AD SSO?

    I'm currently building a Drupal website in an Active Directory environment. One of the site's requirements is Single Sign On, which to date seems to be impossible because there is no Kerberos SPNEGO/GSSAPI auth module for drupal. I've come up with an idea on how SSO could be attempted on IIS. Since IIS has the option to require Kerberos authentication, we can let IIS handle authentication and use the AUTH_USER server variable to pass the authorized user name to the an 'improved' LDAP_auth module. The LDAP_auth module would then check the user name (but not password since it doesn't know or need to know the password) against LDAP to get the user's roles. (AD groups) Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, does anyone have any ideas on how to implement this?

    Hello, i configured log4j for basic purpose usin the conversion pattern :- log4j.appender.rollingFile.layout.ConversionPattern=%p %t %c - %m%n But now i want to log the class name from which the error came as well as the username(available in session object) as well as the date and time when that event occurs. How do i do this? What changes do i need to make in format string? Thanks in advance :)
