  • How can I modify complex command-line argument strings in Perl?

    I have a command line that I'm trying to modify to remove some of the arguments. What makes this complex is that I can have nested arguments. Say that I have this: $cmdline = "-a -xyz -a- -b -xyz -b- -a -xyz -a-" I have three different -xyz flags that are to be interpreted in two different contexts. One is the -a context and the other is the -b context. I want to remove the "a" -xyz's but leave the ones in the "b" -xyz. in the above case, I want: -a -a- -b -xyz -b- -a -a- Alternately, if I have: -a -123 -a- -b -xyz -b- -a -xyz -a-" I want: -a -123 -a- -a -xyz -a- -b -xyz -b- -a -a- It's this second case that I'm stuck on. How can I most effectively do this in Perl?

  • Different url scheme for Zend Framework

    For our CMS we have a site manager that defines the site's tree structure (sitemap if you want to call it that). A possible url is www.example.com/our-team/developers/chris/ which would map in the tree structure to the node chris, child old developers which is in turn a child of out-team. All this is in place and working the the wonderfully implemented Nested Set behavior in doctrine. The only thing is that i'm struggling to get it working in the front end of our website. By default Zend framework's request object expects controller/action/key/value/key/value/... URI scheme but that isn't quite fitting my needs, i would like to skip the whole controller, action and key part and restrict to values. Something like value1/value2/value3/value4/... Anyone has an idea how to accomplish this?

  • Big O complexity of simple for not always linear?

    I'm sure most of you know that a nested loop has O(n^2) complexity if the function input size is n for(int i = 0; i < n; i++){ for(int j = 0; j < n; j++){ ... } } I think that this is similar, by a analogous argument, but i'm not sure can anyone confirm? for(int i = 0, max = n*n; i < max; i++{ ... } If so i guess that there is some kinds of code whose big O mapping is not immediately obvious besides recursion and subroutines.

  • Rails routes question. Always find by name and remove /class_name/ from route

Category has_many products and Product belongs_to Category I want my routes to be like this: /:category_type/:category_name/ opens Product#index /:category_type/ opens Category#show / opens Category#index Is there a way to achieve that with resources?   • How to fix slow scrolling when using webkit-transform and relative positioning on the iphone

    I have implemented scrolling of a div by using relative positioning and webkit animation for the iphone, it works beautifully on desktop safari but is choppy on the actual iphone (fine on the simulator). The scrolling works by having a div nested and clipped (overflow:hidden) by its parent. I then set the top position and animate it with -webkit style declarations. The iphone seems to noticeably slow down when there are a lot of items in the inner div. Any ideas how make the scrolling smoother? This was a problem with iScroll code and my own hand coded stuff.

    Hi I am currently busy with a WPF application that uses a "GridView". There are several template columns one of which is a ComboBox in column 3 named cmbInputControlType. What I would like to do using my Converter class, which I have already created, is binding the visibility of the TextBox(txtFrom) in column 4 to the selected value of the ComboBox(Column 3).     Are dynamic resources truly dynamic? If I define a DynamicResource, I realise that an expression is created (where?) that is not translated into a resource until runtime, however, What I do not understans is whether this dynamicresouce, once built, is now "Static" For instance, if I create a context menu via a dynamicresource, are the menuitems which are created at runtime on access then static, even if they are bound? If so, how can i create a dynamic context menu in XAML?

I usually get design from client with multiple font size and line heights at various places in design. for some good reason i still use em without getting nested element problem and font-size inconsistencies in IE and others. then after setting how to manage and update easily ,and how to calculate ems I want to set easily manageable font sizes and I want to set Line height manually (because it can be different for various places in design. And for which things we should define line-height or for which not? How to set font-size and line-height to get consistent result. and if i'm using em for font-sizing then should i also use bottom-margin of h1, p, li etc in em?     Is there a limit to the maximum number of concurrent users connected to SQL Server 2008? I am guessing computer resources determine that limit (if it exists), but I am also wondering if there is a theoretical limit. I have tried googling the answer, but all the information I have found is based upon earlier versions of SQL Server. If there is a limit, does it apply to just a database or a SQL Server instance?

    I've tried to insert a list in a database but I've got some the error: org.springframework.jdbc.BadSqlGrammarException: SqlSession operation; bad SQL grammar []; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00913: too many values (...). The code that I've used: <insert id="insertListMyObject" parameterType="java.util.List" > INSERT INTO my_table (ID_ITEM, ATT1, ATT2) VALUES <foreach collection="list" item="item" index="index" open="(" close=")" separator=","> #{item.idItem, jdbcType=BIGINT}, #{item.att1, jdbcType=INTEGER}, #{item.att2, jdbcType=STRING} </foreach> </insert> My dao cals the method: SqlSessionTemplate().insert(MAPPER+".insertListMyObject", parameterList); Where the parameterList is: List<MyObjects>. Does someone have a clue about what's this error? Or if does exists a better way to do multiples inserts operation. Many thanks!
