  • How to determine if my AWS/EC2 server has been compromised / resolution?

    - by ElHaix
I have recently seen an increase in network in/out activity on my server and am trying to determine if my AWS/EC2 instance has been compromised, and if so, how to resolve? In my security group I have: Inbound: 80 (HTTP) 0.0.0.0/0 Outbound: 80 (HTTP) 0.0.0.0/0 443 (HTTPS) 0.0.0.0/0 Using TCP-UDP Endpoint Viewer: I see a lot of w3wp.exe TCP processes with varying local ports http and numbered, as well as varying remote ports. Some processes go red/yellow/green on updates . I see Remote address for most w3wp processes are my ec2 instance, however I am seeing several to *.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com and *.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com with received bytes varying between 4-11 megs. I also see Ec2Config.exe, remote address: 169.254.169.254 System Process Remote Address: fetcher4-4.p.mail.ru (how can I get rid of this one?!) local port: http remote port: 33432 I am also seeing some system processes from 114.216-244-93-rdns.wowrack.com: Protocol: TCP local port: http remote port: varying As well as some baiduspider "System Process"'s. I'm afraid that my system may have been compromised, and wondering if these results are any indication of that. If so, how can I get eliminate these possible threats? I have MS Security Essentials installed.

  • Whats the difference between pulling from a branch into master and pushing that branch onto master?

    - by Justin808
In Tortoisegit, on the repository, I right-click and select sync. At the top of the dialog there are options for Local Branch and Remote Branch. If the local branch is named DeveloperA and the remote branch is master and I do a push, what happens? If the local branch is master and remote branch is DeveloperA and I Pull, what happens? If I am on the master branch and right click, select Merge and change the From to be my DeveloperA branch, what happens? If I try to push from master to remote master and the remote is updated git stops and tells me to pull. It seems if I push from DeveloperA to master it doens't stop, it just clobbers, it that correct? We're having an issue using git where the remote master branch gets clobbered at times and we are trying to figure out why. For example there is a developer working on his DeveloperA branch. He'll pull from master to get any updates, then push to master to push out his changes. But there are times that the push lists more files in the Out Commit list than he's edited. The odd thing is he can't revert those files as git is saying they are up to date and have not been modified. Yet when he pushes git pushes the files out. The problem is if there are changes between his pull and push the changes get clobbered.

  • Cloning a git repository from a machine running OS X

    - by Mike
Hi folks, I'm trying to host a git repository from my home OS X machine, and I'm stuck on the last step of cloning the repository from a remote system. Here's what I've done so far: On the OS X (10.6.6) machine (heretofore dubbed the "server") I created a new admin user Logged into the new user's account Installed git Created an empty git repository via "git init" Turned on remote login Set port mapping on my router (airport extreme) to send ssh traffic to the server Added a ".ssh" directory to the user's home directory From the remote machine (also an OS X 10.6.6 machine), I sent that machine's public key to the server using scp and the login credentials of the user created in step 1 To test that the server would use the remote machine's public key, I ssh'd to the server using the username of the user created in step 1 and indeed was able to connect successfully without being asked for a password I installed git on the remote machine From the remote machine I attempted to "git clone ssh://[email protected]:myrepo" (where "user", "my.server.address", and "myrepo" are all replaced by the actual username, server address and repo folder name, respectively) However, every time I try the command in step 11, I get asked to confirm the server's RSA fingerprint, then I'm asked for a password, but the password for the user I set up for that machine never works. Any advice on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated!

  • VPN: Disable class based route addition for Windows XP/Vista

    - by brgsousa
Paraphrasing this SuperUser link: When you set up a VPN, the Windows default is to enable "Use default gateway on remote network." A new default route is added to the routing table pointing to the remote network's gateway, and the existing default route has its metric increased to force all Internet traffic to traverse the tunnel and use the remote network's gateway. All traffic uses the VPN, and traffic destined for the outside world is directed to the remote gateway. When the VPN drops, the route to the remote gateway is removed and the original default route is set back to the original metric. Unchecking "use default gateway on remote network" means that new default route isn't added, so Internet traffic goes out the local gateway, but a new classful route is added to the routing table, using the local adapter's IP, pointing down the VPN. Only traffic destined for the classful network of the local adapter goes down the VPN. This may not be what you want. Checking "Disable class based route addition" means that classful route isn't added to your machine when the VPN starts up, and you'll need to add the appropriate routes for networks that should be routed through the tunnel. But, the option "Disable class based route addition" is available ONLY for Windows 7. How can I do something like that for Windows XP or Vista since they don't have that option? I have searched about for that but, no solution yet.

  • PPTP VPN on Server 2008 Enterprise

    - by Mike K
I asked this question on Server fault and was told that was not allowed so im moving it here. I am running Windows Server 2008 enterprise in my HOME network inside of vmware workstation. I am running this on my home network to setup a PPTP VPN connection at home. I have correctly setup everything I needed to make it work, including opening all the ports, 1723 and 43 (GRE). I am able to connect just fine, but when I connect I dont have internet unless I uncheck use remote gateway. The thing is, I want to use the remote gateway to route all my traffic through that connection. Can someone tell me why this isnt working and how to get it to work. When I have remote gateway checked, and I do an ipconfig I dont get a remote gateway for the VPN connection, its 0.0.0.0 when id assume if connected properly should be 192.168.1.254 (my ATT Home Router). Also, if I cant get the remote gateway issue to work, and I have to uncheck that box to get internet, does this mean my VPN session is no longer encrypted? I am fully aware the PPTP VPN is the weakest VPN encryption out there but still having that extra layer of security when im on an unsecure wifi connection makes me feel a bit better. Thank you for all your help in advance. Someone told me I need to setup a gateway or router configured on the server. If thats the case, how go I go about telling the remote co

  • Cannot ping host stale ARP cache?

    - by gkchicago
I am having a strange issue with a Debian (Lenny/Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64) that has been driving me nuts. On some machines within my network I can ping the host in question just fine, other times I have to manually hard-code the ARP ethernet address for the IP in order to establish connectivity. I've finally worked it down to somehow involving ARP. I just found how to fix it in a way that made it work but I'm looking for help explaining this issue and also I don't trust my fix to be permanent.. My thought process has been the following but I just can't make any sense out of it: Could it be the card? (Intel 82555 rev 4) Could it be because there are two network cards? (Default route is eth0) Could it be because of the network aliases? Lenny? AMD x86_64? Argh.. • Linux Kernel not passing through multicast UDP packets

    - by buecking
Recently I've set up a new Ubuntu Server 10.04 and noticed my UDP server is no longer able to see any multicast data sent to the interface, even after joining the multicast group. I've got the exact same set up on two other Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS machines and there is no problem receiving data after joining the same multicast group. The ethernet card is a Broadcom netXtreme II BCM5709 and the driver used is: b $ ethtool -i eth1 driver: bnx2 version: 2.0.2 firmware-version: 5.0.11 NCSI 2.0.5 bus-info: 0000:01:00.1 I'm using smcroute to manage my multicast registrations. b$ smcroute -d b$ smcroute -j eth1 233.37.54.71 After joining the group ip maddr shows the newly added registration. b$ ip maddr 1: lo inet 224.0.0.1 inet6 ff02::1 2: eth0 link 33:33:ff:40:c6:ad link 01:00:5e:00:00:01 link 33:33:00:00:00:01 inet 224.0.0.1 inet6 ff02::1:ff40:c6ad inet6 ff02::1 3: eth1 link 01:00:5e:25:36:47 link 01:00:5e:25:36:3e link 01:00:5e:25:36:3d link 33:33:ff:40:c6:af link 01:00:5e:00:00:01 link 33:33:00:00:00:01 inet 233.37.54.71 <------- McastGroup. inet 224.0.0.1 inet6 ff02::1:ff40:c6af inet6 ff02::1 So far so good, I can see that I'm receiving data for this multicast group. b$ sudo tcpdump -i eth1 -s 65534 host 233.37.54.71 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth1, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65534 bytes 09:30:09.924337 IP 192.164.1.120.58848 > 233.37.54.71.15572: UDP, length 212 09:30:09.947547 IP 192.164.1.120.58848 > 233.37.54.71.15572: UDP, length 212 09:30:10.108378 IP 192.164.1.120.58866 > 233.37.54.71.15574: UDP, length 268 09:30:10.196841 IP 192.164.1.120.58848 > 233.37.54.71.15572: UDP, length 212 ... I can also confirm that the interface is receiving mcast packets. b $ ethtool -S eth1 | grep mcast_pack rx_mcast_packets: 103998 tx_mcast_packets: 33 Now here's the problem. When I try to capture the traffic using a simple ruby UDP server I receive zero data! Here's a simple server that reads data send on port 15572 and prints the first two characters. This works on the two 8.04.4 Ubuntu Servers, but not the 10.04 server. require 'socket' s = UDPSocket.new s.bind("", 15572) 5.times do text, sender = s.recvfrom(2) puts text end If I send a UDP packet crafted in ruby to localhost, the server receives it and prints out the first two characters. So I know that the server above is working correctly. irb(main):001:0> require 'socket' => true irb(main):002:0> s = UDPSocket.new => #<UDPSocket:0x7f3ccd6615f0> irb(main):003:0> s.send("I2 XXX", 0, 'localhost', 15572) When I check the protocol statistics I see that InMcastPkts is not increasing. While on the other 8.04 servers, on the same network, received a few thousands packets in 10 seconds. b $ netstat -sgu ; sleep 10 ; netstat -sgu IcmpMsg: InType3: 11 OutType3: 11 Udp: 446 packets received 4 packets to unknown port received. 0 packet receive errors 461 packets sent UdpLite: IpExt: InMcastPkts: 4654 <--------- Same as below OutMcastPkts: 3426 InBcastPkts: 9854 InOctets: -1691733021 OutOctets: 51187936 InMcastOctets: 145207 OutMcastOctets: 109680 InBcastOctets: 1246341 IcmpMsg: InType3: 11 OutType3: 11 Udp: 446 packets received 4 packets to unknown port received. 0 packet receive errors 461 packets sent UdpLite: IpExt: InMcastPkts: 4656 <-------------- Same as above OutMcastPkts: 3427 InBcastPkts: 9854 InOctets: -1690886265 OutOctets: 51188788 InMcastOctets: 145267 OutMcastOctets: 109712 InBcastOctets: 1246341 If I try forcing the interface into promisc mode nothing changes. At this point I'm stuck. I've confirmed the kernel config has multicast enabled. Perhaps there are other config options I should be checking? b $ grep CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST /boot/config-2.6.32-23-server CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST=y Any thoughts on where to go from here?

  • IIRF reverse proxy problem

    - by Sergei
Hi everyone, We have a java application ( Atlassian Bamboo) running on port 8085 on Windows 2003. It is accessile as http: //bamboo:8085. I am trying to setup reverse proxy for IIS6 using IIRF so content is accessible via http: //bamboo. It seems that I set it ip correctly, and I can retrieve Status page. This is how my IIRF.ini looks like: RewriteLog c:\temp\iirf RewriteLogLevel 2 StatusUrl /iirfStatus RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^bambooi$ [I] #This setup works #ProxyPass ^/(.*)$ http://othersite/$1 #This does not ProxyPass ^/(.*)$ http://bamboo:8085/$1 However when I type in http: //bamboo in IE, I get 'page cannot be displayed ' message. FF does not return anything at all. I made Wireshark network dump, selected 'follow TCPstream' and it seems like correct page is being retrieved. Why cannot I see it then? I also noticed that I can retrieve http: //bamboo/favicon.ico so I must be very close to the solution.. This is the Wireshark output: GET / HTTP/1.1 Accept: image/gif, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-shockwave-flash, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, application/x-ms-application, application/x-ms-xbap, application/vnd.ms-xpsdocument, application/xaml+xml, */* Accept-Language: en-gb User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; • How to add class to selective <li> in a generated menu

    - by Vikram
    Hi I am looking for a solution to add a class to every list item <li> which has a child item with a class of <span class="separator"> and a different class to <li> with an anchor link. I use Joomla and the menu is being generated somewhat like this: <ul class="menu"> <li class="item1"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Home</span></a></li> <li class="parent item59"><span class="separator"><span>Demo</span></span></li> <li class="item62"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Article</span></a></li> <li id="current" class="parent active item27"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>CMS</span></a> <ul> <li class="item50"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>The News</span></a></li> <li class="item48"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Web Links</span></a></li> <li class="item65"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item49"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>News Feeds</span></a></li> <li class="item66"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item67"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item68"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> </ul> </li> <li class="item71"><span class="separator"><span>Help</span></span></li> </ul> What I want is to add class "anclink" or "seplink" to the <li> depending on their child item so that the final output looks like below. <ul class="menu"> <li class="item1 anclink"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Home</span></a></li> <li class="parent item59 seplink"><span class="separator"><span>Demo</span></span></li> <li class="item62 anclink"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Article</span></a></li> <li id="current" class="parent active item27" anclink><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>CMS</span></a> <ul> <li class="item50 anclink"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>The News</span></a></li> <li class="item48 anclink"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>Web Links</span></a></li> <li class="item65 seplink"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item49 anclink"><a href="<!-- link goes here -->"><span>News Feeds</span></a></li> <li class="item66 seplink"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item67 seplink"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> <li class="item68 seplink"><span class="separator"><span /></span></li> </ul> </li> <li class="item71 seplink"><span class="separator"><span>Help</span></span></li> </ul> How can I achieve this using PHP or even a jQuery solution will be fine.   • Tip on Reusing Classes in Different .NET Project Types

    - by psheriff
All of us have class libraries that we developed for use in our projects. When you create a .NET Class Library project with many classes, you can use that DLL in ASP.NET, Windows Forms and WPF applications. However, for Silverlight and Windows Phone, these .NET Class Libraries cannot be used. The reason is Silverlight and Windows Phone both use a scaled down version of .NET and thus do not have access to the full .NET framework class library. However, there are many classes and functionality that will work in the full .NET and in the scaled down versions that Silverlight and Windows Phone use.Let’s take an example of a class that you might want to use in all of the above mentioned projects. The code listing shown below might be something that you have in a Windows Form or an ASP.NET application. public class StringCommon{  public static bool IsAllLowerCase(string value)  {    return new Regex(@"^([^A-Z])+$").IsMatch(value);  }   public static bool IsAllUpperCase(string value)  {    return new Regex(@"^([^a-z])+$").IsMatch(value);  }} The StringCommon class is very simple with just two methods, but you know that the System.Text.RegularExpressions namespace is available in Silverlight and Windows Phone. Thus, you know that you may reuse this class in your Silverlight and Windows Phone projects. Here is the problem: if you create a Silverlight Class Library project and you right-click on that project in Solution Explorer and choose Add | Add Existing Item… from the menu, the class file StringCommon.cs will be copied from the original location and placed into the Silverlight Class Library project. You now have two files with the same code. If you want to change the code you will now need to change it in two places! This is a maintenance nightmare that you have just created. If you then add this to a Windows Phone Class Library project, you now have three places you need to modify the code! Add As LinkInstead of creating three separate copies of the same class file, you want to leave the original class file in its original location and just create a link to that file from the Silverlight and Windows Phone class libraries. Visual Studio will allow you to do this, but you need to do one additional step in the Add Existing Item dialog (see Figure 1). You will still right mouse click on the project and choose Add | Add Existing Item… from the menu. You will still highlight the file you want to add to your project, but DO NOT click on the Add button. Instead click on the drop down portion of the Add button and choose the “Add As Link” menu item. This will now create a link to the file on disk and will not copy the file into your new project. Figure 1: Add as Link will create a link, not copy the file over. When this linked file is added to your project, there will be a different icon next to that file in the Solution Explorer window. This icon signifies that this is a link to a file in another folder on your hard drive.   Figure 2: The Linked file will have a different icon to show it is a link. Of course, if you have code that will not work in Silverlight or Windows Phone -- because the code has dependencies on features of .NET that are not supported on those platforms – you  can always wrap conditional compilation code around the offending code so it will be removed when compiled in those class libraries. SummaryIn this short blog entry you learned how to reuse one of your class libraries from ASP.NET, Windows Forms or WPF applications in your Silverlight or Windows Phone class libraries. You can do this without creating a maintenance nightmare by using the “Add a Link” feature of the Add Existing Item dialog. • Schizophrenic Ubuntu 12.10-12.04: Atheros 922 PCI WIFI is disabled in Unity but enabled in terminal - How to getit to work?

    - by zewone
I am trying to get my PCI Wireless Atheros 922 card to work. It is disabled in Unity: both the network utility and the desktop (see screenshot http://www.amisdurailhalanzy.be/Screenshot%20from%202012-10-25%2013:19:54.png) I tried many different advises on many different forums. Installed 12.10 instead of 12.04, enabled all interfaces... etc. I have read about the aht9 driver... The terminal shows no hw or sw lock for the Atheros card, nevertheless, it is still disabled. Nothing worked so far, the card is still disabled. Any help is much appreciated. • Dynamic scoping in Clojure?

    - by j-g-faustus
Hi, I'm looking for an idiomatic way to get dynamically scoped variables in Clojure (or a similar effect) for use in templates and such. Here is an example problem using a lookup table to translate tag attributes from some non-HTML format to HTML, where the table needs access to a set of variables supplied from elsewhere: (def *attr-table* ; Key: [attr-key tag-name] or [boolean-function] ; Value: [attr-key attr-value] (empty array to ignore) ; Context: Variables "tagname", "akey", "aval" '( ; translate :LINK attribute in <a> to :href [:LINK "a"] [:href aval] ; translate :LINK attribute in <img> to :src [:LINK "img"] [:src aval] ; throw exception if :LINK attribute in any other tag [:LINK] (throw (RuntimeException. (str "No match for " tagname))) ; ... more rules ; ignore string keys, used for internal bookkeeping [(string? akey)] [] )) ; ignore I want to be able to evaluate the rules (left hand side) as well as the result (right hand side), and need some way to put the variables in scope at the location where the table is evaluated. I also want to keep the lookup and evaluation logic independent of any particular table or set of variables. I suppose there are similar issues involved in templates (for example for dynamic HTML), where you don't want to rewrite the template processing logic every time someone puts a new variable in a template. Here is one approach using global variables and bindings. I have included some logic for the table lookup: ;; Generic code, works with any table on the same format. (defn rule-match? [rule-val test-val] "true if a single rule matches a single argument value" (cond (not (coll? rule-val)) (= rule-val test-val) ; plain value (list? rule-val) (eval rule-val) ; function call :else false )) (defn rule-lookup [test-val rule-table] "looks up rule match for test-val. Returns result or nil." (loop [rules (partition 2 rule-table)] (when-not (empty? rules) (let [[select result] (first rules)] (if (every? #(boolean %) (map rule-match? select test-val)) (eval result) ; evaluate and return result (recur (rest rules)) ))))) ;; Code specific to *attr-table* (def tagname) ; need these globals for the binding in html-attr (def akey) (def aval) (defn html-attr [tagname h-attr] "converts to html attributes" (apply hash-map (flatten (map (fn [[k v :as kv]] (binding [tagname tagname akey k aval v] (or (rule-lookup [k tagname] *attr-table*) kv))) h-attr )))) (defn test-attr [] "test conversion" (prn "a" (html-attr "a" {:LINK "www.google.com" "internal" 42 :title "A link" })) (prn "img" (html-attr "img" {:LINK "logo.png" }))) user=> (test-attr) "a" {:href "www.google.com", :title "A link"} "img" {:src "logo.png"} This is nice in that the lookup logic is independent of the table, so it can be reused with other tables and different variables. (Plus of course that the general table approach is about a quarter of the size of the code I had when I did the translations "by hand" in a giant cond.) It is not so nice in that I need to declare every variable as a global for the binding to work. Here is another approach using a "semi-macro", a function with a syntax-quoted return value, that doesn't need globals: (defn attr-table [tagname akey aval] `( [:LINK "a"] [:href ~aval] [:LINK "img"] [:src ~aval] [:LINK] (throw (RuntimeException. (str "No match for " tagname))) ; ... more rules [(string? ~akey)] [] ))) Only a couple of changes are needed to the rest of the code: In rule-match?, when syntax-quoted the function call is no longer a list: - (list? rule-val) (eval rule-val) + (seq? rule-val) (eval rule-val) In html-attr: - (binding [tagname tagname akey k aval v] - (or (rule-lookup [k tagname] *attr-table*) kv))) + (or (rule-lookup [k tagname] (attr-table tagname k v)) kv))) And we get the same result without globals. (And without dynamic scoping.) Are there other alternatives to pass along sets of variable bindings declared elsewhere, without the globals required by Clojure's binding? Is there an idiomatic way of doing it, like Ruby's binding or Javascript's function.apply(context)?

  • Unable to keep the connecting using a wireless bridge

    - by dan
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 on a dell inspiron desktop (core 2 duo) and am using wicd to manage my network/wifi. I've found that the WiFi card in the machine has trouble staying connected to my router (I believe this is a function of distance between the two), so I've taken an old Belkin F5d7231 wireless router and installed dd-wrt on it to use as a wireless bridge hoping that it will have better reception. I think everything up through the wireless bridge is working OK since I have no problems accessing the internet through it with my MacBook. The problem arises when I try to hook the ubuntu machine up to the wireless bridge. It will connect for a few minutes, but it will quickly disconnect without clear triggering event; it may be more likely to disconnect if there is a heavy traffic load going over it (could be something as simple as "cat big_text_file" in an ssh session). I've tried switching from dhclient to dhcpcd without much improvement. Here is the output from the syslog when it connects: Jun 30 17:10:08 Chicabuntu dhcpcd[28278]: wlan1: dhcpcd not running Jun 30 17:10:08 Chicabuntu dhcpcd[28278]: wlan1: exiting Jun 30 17:10:08 Chicabuntu dhcpcd[28312]: eth0: dhcpcd not running Jun 30 17:10:08 Chicabuntu dhcpcd[28312]: eth0: exiting Jun 30 17:10:08 Chicabuntu avahi-daemon[1041]: Interface eth0.IPv6 no longer relevant for mDNS. • Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Again ! Ubuntu 13.04 x64

    - by vafa
First I have to say that I tried everything written about this concept. The problem is that it stops working randomly in 3 main forms : 1 - sometimes it disconnect from wireless network and reconnect automatically 2 - sometimes it disconnect and wont connect no matter what (needs reboot) 3 - some times it's still connected but cannot ping or surf or whatever. I already tried disabling N mod using these commands : sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi modprobe iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 (or 0, whatever) it didn't help . these are the results of lspci, sudo lshw -C network, ifconfig, iwconfig, rfkill list when it disconnected and didn't connect till reboot : ifconfig : eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr c8:0a:a9:34:65:77 UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX • JQuery tools.scrollable conflict with navbar Ajax in CakePHP

    - by user269098
In our views/layout/default.ctp file we have an element that's used to implement a cascading combo select box which uses JQuery ajax to update the fields. This selector is part of our navbar and is loaded on every page of the site. The default.ctp has these includes in the : <?php echo $html->charset(); ?> <title><?php echo $title_for_layout; //if(Configure::read('debug')) //echo "cake: " . Configure::version(); ?></title> <?php echo $html->css('style'); echo $javascript->link('jquery', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.form', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.url', true); echo $javascript->link('navbar', true); echo $html->script('tools.expose-1.0.3.js', array('inline' => false)); //echo $scripts_for_layout; ?> On the views/cars/index.ctp page we have: echo $javascript->link('tools.tabs-1.0.1', true); echo $javascript->link('tools.overlay-1.0.4', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.form', true); echo $javascript->link('tools.scrollable-1.0.5', true); The issue is that on every other page the navbar combo box selector works. However, on the cars/index.ctp it doesn't work. It only works when we comment out the 'tools.scrollable' include. Any ideas why there is this conflict? We have been stuck on this problem for months...

  • How can I programmatically link an UIView or UIImageView with an event like "touch up inside"?

    - by Thanks
Interface Builder will only allow me to hook up such events for an button. But like in HTML, I just want to haven an blank UIImageView where - as soon as the user taps it - a method is invoked. I hope there is some cool programmatically way of doing that, which I don't know about. UPDATE: In my View Controller that creates the UIImageView I tried to do this: SEL actionSelector = @selector(doSomethingWhenImageIsTouched:); [self.myUIImageView addTarget:nil action:actionSelector forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; The compiler gives me a warning, that UIImageView may not respond to addTarget:... what do I have to do so that it works with an UIImageView. I see in the docs that UIImageView does not inherit from UIControl, but addTarget: is part of UIControl. UPDATE: I ended up creating an UIButton after creating the UIImageView. Then I set the frame of that button to the frame of the UIImageView, and alpha to 0.1f. For some reason, it will not work if alpha is 0.0f. And then, I did that cool addTarget: thing...

  • Cloning git repository from svn repository, results in file-less, remote-branch-less git repo.

    - by Tchalvak
Working SVN repo I'm starting a git repo to interact with a svn repo. The svn repository is set and working fine, with a single commit of a basic README file in it. Checking it out works fine: tchalvak:~/test/svn-test$ svn checkout --username=myUsernameHere http://www.url.to/project/here/charityweb/ A charityweb/README Checked out revision 1. Failed git-svn clone of svn repo When I try to clone the repository in git, the first step shows no errors... tchalvak:~/test$ git svn clone -s --username=myUserNameHere http://www.url.to/project/here/charityweb/ Initialized empty Git repository in /home/tchalvak/test/charityweb/.git/ Authentication realm: <http://www.url.to/project/here:80> Charity Web Password for 'myUserNameHere': ...but results in a useless folder: tchalvak:~/test$ ls charityweb tchalvak:~/test$ cd charityweb/ tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ ls tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ ls -al total 12 drwxr-xr-x 3 tchalvak tchalvak 4096 2010-04-02 13:46 . drwxr-xr-x 4 tchalvak tchalvak 4096 2010-04-02 13:46 .. drwxr-xr-x 8 tchalvak tchalvak 4096 2010-04-02 13:47 .git tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ git branch -av tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ git status # On branch master # # Initial commit # nothing to commit (create/copy files and use "git add" to track) tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ git fetch fatal: Where do you want to fetch from today? tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ git rebase origin/master fatal: bad revision 'HEAD' fatal: Needed a single revision invalid upstream origin/master tchalvak:~/test/charityweb$ git log fatal: bad default revision 'HEAD' How do I get something I can commit back to? I expect I'm doing something wrong in this process, but what?

  • Can the public ssh key from my local machine be used to access two different users on a remote serve

    - by Nick
I have an new ubuntu (hardy 8.04) server, it has two users, User1 and User2. User1 is listed in sudoers. I appended my public ssh key (my local machine's public key local/Users/nick/.ssh/id_rsa.pub) to authorized_keys in remote_server/home/user1/.ssh/authorized_keys, changed the permissions on user1/.ssh/ to 700 and user1/.ssh/authorized_keys to 600 and both file and folder are owned my User1. Then added I User1 to sshd_config (AllowUsers User1). This works and I can login into User1 debug1: Offering public key: /Users/nick/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: Server accepts key: pkalg ssh-rsa blen 277 debug1: Authentication succeeded (publickey). debug1: channel 0: new [client-session] debug1: Entering interactive session. Last login: Mon Mar 15 09:51:01 2010 from ..*.* I then copied the authorized_keys file remote_server/home/user1/.ssh/authorized_keys to remote_server/home/user2/.shh/authorized_keys and changed the permissions and ownership and added User2 to AllowUsers in sshd_config (AllowUsers User1 User2). Now when I try to login to User2 it will not authenticate the same public key. debug1: Offering public key: /Users/nick/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Trying private key: /Users/nick/.ssh/identity debug1: Trying private key: /Users/nick/.ssh/id_dsa debug1: No more authentication methods to try. Permission denied (publickey). Am I missing something fundamental about the way ssh works? Thanks in advance, Nick
