  • SSIS web service task producing "object reference" error

    Our care management system uses a web service to import data. I've successfully executed one of its methods using soapUI, and now I want to replicate this with an SSIS 2008 web service task, but I'm running into a problem. I've created the "HTTP Connection Manager" successfully, and specified the location of the "WSDLFile", but when I go to the Input tab and select the Service from the dropdown (there is only one), I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, and and the Method dropdown is empty. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

  • Stuck with the math in a Flash project, would parsing engine help?

    I've been stuck with the math in a Flash project? It's a loose design pattern my director formulated. My goal is to keep the project object oriented, and get 'non Flash obstacles' off my plate. Do you recommend using parsing engines for processing math? XML values going to AS3, updating a changing acceleration formula. I don't hate math, but it just doesn't seem OOP or good project planning to have the math stuck in Flash. Your comments are welcome.

    Transparent persistence allows you to use regular objects instead of a database. The objects are automatically read from and written to disk. Examples of such systems are Gemstone and Rucksack (for common lisp). Simplified version of what they do: if you access foo.bar and bar is not in memory, it gets loaded from disk. If you do foo.bar = baz then the foo object gets updated on disk. Most systems also have some form of transactions, and they may have support for sharing objects across programs and even across a network. My question is what are the different techniques for implementing these kind of systems and what are the trade offs between these implementation approaches?

    Hi everyone: I'm now performing a stack buffer overflow attack test on my own PC( Ubuntu 9.10, gcc-4.4.1 ) based on the article http://www.tenouk.com/Bufferoverflowc/Bufferoverflow4.html. Yet I haven't achieved the goal. Each time a segfault is thrown accompanied with some error informaiton. I compile the source code, and wanna get further information using objdump. Function __strcpy_chk is invoked in the assembly code dumped out, and it's said that "The __strcpy_chk() function is not in the source standard; it is only in the binary standard." Does this the mechanism a compiler employed to protect runtime stack? To finish my test, how can I bypass the protection? Regards.

    Suppose that I have a database query which looks like below - select name, gender, birthday from person where person_id = 1; When this query is executed, some records from the database are returned. I want to make a custom object which will contain the exact attributes as the column names, with the corresponding values. As an example, suppose that the object is X. So it will have three attributes which are X.name, X.gender and X.birthday, with the corresponding values from the records. Is it doable in PHP? If so, then how?

  • Using NVL function in SQL, please help!

    I'm needing to select first and last name in a table which is working fine in the following SQL, but the part that isn't working is the NVL function. The file should show all pilots at a company that fly helicopters and IF they don't have a licence the field HT_NAME should come up as 'N/A' and the field for end hours flown should be 0. I've put NVL function in as my text details but it still isn't working. Have i made a syntax error? Help would be appreciated.     fopen function is not working in php. I wrote the following code in my php file. $fh = fopen("/home/sugumar/Public_html/sugumar/public_html/123","a+"); fwrite($fh,"hello"); I ran this code from command line: php file_name.php its working fine. But If I run this code from browser it shows the following error.     I have a note class that belongs to a user (ie a user can create many notes). clip from my notes controller class NotesController < ApplicationController before_filter :authenticate_user! respond_to :html, :xml, :json # GET /notes # GET /notes.xml def index @notes = Note.includes(:user).order("created_at DESC") respond_with @notes end When I ask for the index in json results for example /notes.json, it returns the notes but only returns user_id for the user object. I would like it to also include user.username (and would be curious how to have the whole user object embedded). Bonus question: I could not find a way to make the column show as author_id and have it relate back to user. If this is easy to do, how do you do it?

    I'm trying to give my plugin callback functionality, and I'd like for it to operate in a somewhat traditional way: myPlugin({options}, function() { /* code to execute */ }); or myPlugin({options}, anotherFunction()); How do I handle that parameter in the code? Is it treated as one full entity? I'm pretty sure I know where I'd place the executory code, but how do I get the code to execute?   • Want to add a new property to a class, can I use anonymous functions for this?

    I have 2 Lists: List<User> List<UserStats> So I want to add a property Count to User (it doesn't have one now, and I can't change the implementation at this point). For a web service call, that returns json, I want to modify the User object. Basically I add the Users to a collection. So I want to add a modified user class (via anonymous functions?) to the collection before I serialize it to json. So something like: loop users { user.Count = userstats[user.ID].Count; list.Add(user); } is this possible? how?

  • Unable to read values from object returned from ActiveRecord.find

    I make the following call to the DB. @patientRegistration = PatientRegistration.find(:all, :conditions=["name = '#{patientName}'"]) Search for patient registration based on a given name. I get a valid @patientRegistration object.When I invoke @patientRegistration.inspect it prints correctly all the values for the object in the DB. But when I try to read a particular attribute (Say id or name) by doing the following: @patientRegistration.id or @patientRegistration.name. I get invalid values. Either its blank or some junk values. I dont understand how inspect is able to retrieve all the values correctly but reading individual attributes gives invalid values. Thanks

    Hi, I'm using ColdFusion's reReplace() function for regular expression pattern replacement. I'd like to use a function call for the replacement string, and pass a matched backreference to it. Something like this: <cfset s = "STARTDATE_2010-05-07 00:05:00.0_ENDDATE" /> <cfset s = reReplace(s, "STARTDATE_([\s-.:0-9]*)_ENDDATE", dateAdd("h", 1, "\1")) /> But that fails because "The value of parameter 3, which is currently \1, must be a class java.util.Date value."   • Rails architecture questions

    I'm building a Rails site that, among other things, allows users to build their own recipe repository. Recipes are entered either manually or via a link to another site (think epicurious, cooks.com, etc). I'm writing scripts that will scrape a recipe from these sites given a link from a user, and so far (legal issues notwithstanding) that part isn't giving me any trouble. However, I'm not sure where to put the code that I'm writing for these scraper scripts. My first thought was to put it in the recipes model, but it seems a bit too involved to go there; would a library or a helper be more appropriate? Also, as I mentioned, I'm building several different scrapers for different food websites. It seems to me that the elegant way to do this would be to define an interface (or abstract base class) that determines a set of methods for constructing a recipe object given a link, but I'm not sure what the best approach would be here, either. How might I build out these OO relationships, and where should the code go?

  • Android -- Object Creation/Memory Allocation vs. Performance

    Hello all, This is probably an easy one. I have about 20 TextViews/ImageViews in my current project that I access like this: ((TextView)multiLayout.findViewById(R.id.GameBoard_Multi_Answer1_Text)).setText(""); //or ((ImageView)multiLayout.findViewById(R.id.GameBoard_Multi_Answer1_Right)).setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE); My question is this, am I better off, from a performance standpoint, just assigning these object variables? Further, am I losing some performance to the constant "search" process that goes on as a part of the findViewById(...) method? (i.e. Does findsViewById(...) use some sort of hashtable/hashmap for look-ups or does it implement an iterative search over the view hierarchy?) At present, my program never uses more than 2.5MB of RAM, so will assigning 20 or so more object variables drastically affect this? I don't think so, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks.
