    I've recently upgraded my project from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010. By enabling Code Analysis and building on Release, I'm getting warning CA1811: Avoid uncalled private code. I've managed to reduce the code to this: .h file: public ref class Foo { public: virtual System::String^ ToString() override; private: static System::String^ Bar(); }; .cpp file: String^ Foo::ToString() { return Bar(); } String^ Foo::Bar() { return "abc"; } The warning I get: CA1811 : Microsoft.Performance : 'Foo::Bar(void)' appears to have no upstream public or protected callers. It doesn't matter if Bar() is static or not. I've tried to reproduce it in C# but I can't. I can only reproduce it in C++/CLI. Why do I get this warning? Is this a Visual Studio 2010 bug?

    I would like to offer a webservice via JSONP and was wondering, if I need to sanitize the value from the callback parameter. My current server side script looks like this currently (More or less.     I have a few tables with the following relationships: Company hasMany Jobs, Employees, and Trucks, Users I've got all my foreign keys set up properly, along with the tables' Models, Controllers, and Views. Originally, the Jobs table had a boolean field called "assigned". The following find operation (from the JobsController) successfully returns all employees, all trucks, and any jobs that are not assigned and fall on a certain day for a single company (without returning users by utilizing the containable behavior): $this->set('resources', $this->Job->Company->find('first', array( 'conditions' => array( 'Company.id' => $company_id ), 'contain' => array( 'Employee', 'Truck', 'Job' => array( 'conditions' => array( 'Job.assigned' => false, 'Job.pickup_date' => date('Y-m-d', strtotime('Today')); ) ) ) ))); Now, since writing this code, I decided to do a lot more with the job assignments. I want to display only those rows. how could i do it?

I read about the 'if' attribute but am unsure what expression to use with it, as ${file::exists('*.cs')} does not work. The build script is a template for Umbraco (a CMS) projects and may or may not ever have .cs source files in the project. Ideally I would like to not have developers need to remember to modify the NAnt script to include the compile task when .cs files are added to the project (or exclude it when all .cs files are removed).

    Hello, I have trouble describing my problem so I'll give an example: I have a class description that has a couple of variables in it, for example: class A{ float a, b, c, d; } Now, I maintain a vector<A> that contains many of these classes. What I need to do very very often is to find the object inside this vector that satisfies that one of it's parameters is maximal w.r.t to the others. i.e code looks something like: int maxi=-1; float maxa=-1000; for(int i=0;i<vec.size();i++){ res= vec[i].a; if(res > maxa) { maxa= res; maxi=i; } } return vec[maxi]; However, sometimes I need to find class with maximal a, sometimes with maximal b, sometimes the class with maximal 0.8*a + 0.2*b, sometimes I want a maximal a*VAR + b, where VAR is some variable that is assigned in front, etc. In other words, I need to evaluate an expression for every class, and take the max. I find myself copy-pasting this everywhere, and only changing the single line that defines res. What makes it even more complicated is that even the name of the vector changes. Sometimes it's vec, sometimes it can be something else. I have many vectors that contain A's. This could be changed if this makes the problem too hard. Is there some nice way to avoid this insanity in C++? What's the neatest way to handle this? Thank you!

    Hi, Background - I need a framework/approach to managed database updates for a .NET Winforms app being deployed on users PC's via clickonce deploy. The app uses a sqlite database. Q1. What mechanism does Subsonic use to run such migrations on the local PC? e.g. would it be MSBuild Q2. If it does need a tool like how can my application robustly kick off MsBuild? i.e. how can it be sure what path it is installed, what if it is not installed, should I be including the MSBuild.exe in the clickonce package so that I know it is there for sure myself? Q3. Any other suggestions on how to use Subsonic in this specific use case? Q4. Any comments on whether MigratorDotNet would be a better fit? (if someone has had experience with both) Q5. Could I use subsonic's bare migration framework and just have a set of SQL files to do the upgrade/downgrade? i.e. just use the framework to check database version and which scripts to run etc?
