• Error in loading component property (Swing GUI Forms)

  For no apparent reason all my Swing GUI forms using components linked to org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter started generating errors when trying to open the Design View: Error Error in loading component property: [JPanel]-filterTextField-converter. Cannot load property type class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter. The property cannot be loaded. Errors occurred in loading... I'm currently using Netbeans 6.8. I opened my project in Netbeans 6.7.1 and all was fine but after a while the same thing happened. Looking at the .form and .java files and comparing it to previous backups, everything looks fine. Even my Netbeans tutorial project no longer works. What can cause this. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. • IE6 rendering bug. Some parsed <li> elements are losing their closing tags.

  I have been working with IE6 for many years [sob], but have never seen this particular bug before, and I can't seem to find a reference to it on the Web. The problem appears to be with how IE6 is parsing the HTML of a nested list. Even though the markup is correct, IE6 somehow munges the code when it is parsed, and drops the closing tags of some of the <li> elements. • Select list shrinks in size horizontally when empty

  Hello, I have two select list boxes and i can move items back and forth between them using the forward (--) and backward (<--) button. However, if there are no items in a select list, it shrinks in size horizontally. Any way to keep the select list a fixed size, irrespective of whether it contains any options or not ? • Fedora 13 post security update boot problem

  Hello. About a month ago I installed a security update that had new Kernek 2.6.34.x from 2.6.33.x), this is when the problem occurred for the first time. After the install my computer would not boot at all, black screen without any visible hard drive activity (I gave it good 30 minutes on black screen, before took actions)... I poped in installation DVD and went in rescue mode to change back the boot option to old kernel (was just a guess where the problem was). After restart computer loaded just file, took a long time for it to start because of SELinux targeted policy relabel is required. Relabeling could take very long time depending on file size. I assumed that the update got messed up somehow and continued working with modified boot option. Couple of days ago, there was another kernel update. I installed it and same problem as before. This rules out corrupted update theory... Black screen right after 'BIOS' screen before OS gets loaded. I had to rescue system again... Below is copy of my grub.conf file. • CSS: Aligning problem with rounded corners in IE 6/7 but ok in IE8/ Firefox etc

  Hi there, can anyone help? I have a problem aligning rounded corners in IE6/7. Basically everything seems to work in Firefox / IE8 but in IE6/7 the left / center / and right divs get misaligned. This basically shows exactly what i am refering to. here is the example in IE8 and everything works ok http://es.drop.io/ern0fye/asset/ie8-jpg And here is the problem (this example is running in IE8 with compat mode set to IE7) http://es.drop.io/ern0fye/asset/ie7-jpg I seem to remember there being a bug in IE6/7 with lineheight or similar but i don't recall exactly. I will paste the CSS and HTML below it is very very simple. Basically there is a left div that holds the left corner image and center div which has a background of RED which is the same as the corner images and finally a right div which holds the right corner image. I would appreciate any input anyone has. Thanks in advance. • 100% width table cell

  Hello! I have this table layout. I want to align the whole content to the right. So i'm using one cell with width: 100%;. Usually everything looks good and nice. But there is something, which i don't understand. If the content in cell, which has colspan, becomes bigger than normal cell in this column (you can test this by clicking Click to test button), it brakes whole layout. This happens on Chrome, Safari 4 and 5, IE8, but on Opera, FF and IE7 is OK. Clicking the Flash container in Firefox will work Perfectly fine. You should get alert boxes in this order containing: span, div and body. Flash bubbles the event to the HTML. But this is not happening in IE. So why is Flash in IE not bubbling events to HTML? Edit: As mentioned by Andy E this behavior can also bee seen in Google Chrome which to my knowledge is not using ActiveX to embed the flash movie into the page.

• Google Checkout. Show shipping rates before logging in possible?

  I am trying to integrate google checkout with my current site. I am calculating the shipping on my end, before passing it to google checkout. The problem is, when a person click the "google checkout" button, it takes them to google checkout but it does not show the shipping. It actually states it will be calculated on next step. In the next step it actually shows a drop down with the ONE option for shipping that I passed, which is a flat rate.. The problem is, to get to the next step you have to enter a credit card. Also, my shop has the shipping shown in the cart, so it would seem confusing to go to checkout and have a price without shipping. • Can't Prevent Nested Div's from Overflowing when using Percent Sizes and Padding in CSS?

  I want to be able to layout nested divs with these properties: width: 100% height: 100% padding: 10px I want it to be such that, the children are 100% width and height of the remaining space after padding is calculated, not before. Otherwise, when I have a document like the below example, the child makes the scrollbars appear. But the scrollbars are not the main issue, the fact that the child stretches beyond the width of the parent container is. I can use all position: absolute declarations, but that doesn't seem right. • IE dynamic image caching issue?

  I have an html page that is loading multiple iframes into which are embedded dynamic images created from a Tomcat server page (.jsp). This works as expected from Chrome and Firefox, but for some reason IE displays all of the images the same (as the first image). I've created an example: http://coupondiscounts.com/dev/jsImageTest.html jsImageTest.html -- This page simply loads 6 instances of the testImageFrame.html page in separate iframes one-at-a-time, using Javascript. testImageFrame.html -- This is the page loaded in all the iframes. It contains only a JavaScript block that writes out the current time and an img tag. The img is dynamically generated by a .jsp page on a different server. It should be a white box on a black background. In the box are the current time (from the Tomcat server using Java) and a randomly created double between 0 & 1. What happens (in IE): The page almost instantly loads four identical iframes. Depending on the speed of your machine, the JavaScript times may vary by a second or two. The images' times will all be the same as will be the random number. This holds true even for the last two iframes which are loaded 5 and 10 seconds after the others (using JavaScript setTimeout()). What should happen (as it does in Chrome and FF): The page loads the same 4 iframes, but the random numbers in the images will be different. The times in the images occasionally span a second as well. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on here? Is IE doing some strange caching? The image header has "no-cache," "no-store" and all that. I've tried it on IE6 and 7. You can use the "Next" button to create another iframe. In IE, the images are always the same. Notes: I don't really need iframes, just the images, but if I only use img tags, the problem appears in Chrome and FF as well. I also don't really need to load these iframes dynamically, I was just trying to abstract the issue further and allow a delayed load for the latter 2 images.

• Error during GENERAL_REQUEST_ENTITY for POST results in ASP .NET session state never getting unlocked

  I have been trying to chase down the root cause of a condition where ASP .NET session state remains locked after a web request has been terminated due to an unexpected error. We use the SQL Server session state provider for session because we have several servers in a web farm. This issue first presented itself in the form of many requests getting stuck on the 'AcquireRequestState' event of their lifecycle for no apparent reason. I was able to finding corresponding entries for these requests in the session state database in SQL server that were all locked (column Locked = 1). I was also able to correlate these requests to entries in the IIS log with HTTP status codes of 500 (with a sub status of 0). These findings lead me to believe that, in some cases, a request was erroring out but was NOT releasing its lock on session state like it should. I enabled Failed Request Tracing in IIS for the website in question for status code 500 with all available providers selected each with the 'Verbose' setting for verbosity. I've since gathered several failed traces that have caused permanently locked ASP .NET sessions. They all share the same characteristics: They are all 'POST' requests where the browser is posting data to be processed/saved. They all have events indicating that the 'Session' module was invoked during the REQUEST_ACQUIRE_STATE event. At this point the request would have marked the row in the session state database as being "locked". This is normal and expected. They all have GENERAL_READ_ENTITY_START, GENERAL_READ_ENTITY_END, and GENERAL_REQUEST_ENTITY entries that appear to be reading in the data that was posted to the server as part of the request. This appears to be a buffered operation as these events get repeated over and over with each one reading in some subset of the posted data. At some point during the 'read entity' related events and error occurs. Some have the error code "Incorrect function. (0x80070001)" and others have "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. (0x800703e3)". Once the error has been encountered, they all jump directly to the END_REQUEST events. The issue here is that, under normal circumstances, there should be a RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event that will allow the Session module to release the lock it has on the session. This event is being skipped in this scenario. Just to be sure, I enabled failed request tracing for the '200' status code as well and generated several traces of successful requests that do have the RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event being handled by the Session module. My theory at this point is that some kind of network issue is causing the 'Incorrect function' and 'I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request' errors, but I don't understand why this seems to be causing the request handling to skip over the RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE event. If the request went through REQUEST_ACQUIRE_STATE it seems like it should also hit RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE as well. I'm loathe to say that this is a bug in IIS or ASP .NET, but it certainly appears that way to me at this point. Are there any configuration changes I could make to help ensure that 'RELEASE_REQUEST_STATE' is fired under all error conditions?

• XML\Jquery create listings based on user selection

  Alright, so what I need to try and accomplish is having a static web page that will display information pulled from an XML document and render it to the screen without refreshing. Basic AJAX stuff I guess. The trick is, as I'm trying to think this through I keep coming into 'logical' barriers mentally. Objectives: -Have a chart which displays baseball team names, wins, losses, ties. In my XML doc there is a 'pending' status, so games not completed should not be displayed.(Need help here) -Have a selection list which allows you to select a team which is populated from XML doc. (done) -Upon selecting a particular team from the aforementioned selection list the page should display in a separate area all of the planned games for that team. Including pending. Basically all of the games associated with that team and the dates (which is included in the XML file). Any help right now would be great, I'm just banging my head against a wall. I'm trying to avoid using XSLT transforms because I absolutely despise XML and I'm not good with it. So I'd -like- to just use Javascript\PHP\etc with only a sprinkling of the necessary XML where possible..

• Is it possible to use canonical tag in Blogger posts?

  I found one of my blog post was cached by Google (www.example.com/post.html). I found that comment page of the post was also cached (www.example.com/post.html?showComment=1372054729698). These two pages are showing in Google SERP when I checked cached posts of my blog. Is it possible to use canonical tag on the post www.example.com/post.html?showComment=1372054729698 so that Google won't penalize my original post? Is there any other ways to redirect a blog post?

• PHP, javascript, single quote problems with IE when passing variable from ajax post to javascript fu

  Hi! I have been trying to get this to work for a while, and I suspect there's an easy solution that I just can't find. My head feels like jelly and I would really appreciate any help. My main page.php makes a .post() to backend.php and fetches a list of cities which it echoes in the form of: <li onclick="script('$data');">$data</li> The list is fetched and put onto the page via .html(). My problem occurs when $data has a single quote in it. backend.php passes the variable just fine to page.php but when i run html() it throws a javascript error (in IE, not FF obviously); ')' is expected IE parses the single quote and messes up the script()-call. I've been trying to rebuild the echoed string in different ways, escaping the 's on the php side and/or on the javascript side - but in vain. • MVC - Ajax form - return partial view doesnt update in <div> target

  I have an index view that I want to update automatically as the user types in a client id. I got something similiar to work (only it was updating just a label) - but this will not work. What happens is the partial is just rendered by itself (not in place of the UpdateTargetID). So the data is rendered on a new page.
