Updating Google sitemap for mobile

I have a series of utilities to generate Google sitemaps for my whole site. These files are massive, and slow to build. We want to start telling Google these pages are mobile-crawl-able too, by adding them to mobile sitemaps, but the documentation is unclear if I need to specify physically different files for my mobile URLs than for my normal ones. If this is my current sitemap: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"> <url> <loc>http://mobile.example.com/article100.html</loc> </url> </urlset> Can I simply change it to: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9" xmlns:mobile="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap-mobile/1.0"> <url> <loc>http://mobile.example.com/article100.html</loc> <mobile:mobile/> </url> </urlset> Or do I need to create new files with the additional markup, alongside my existing files?

Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx used to run fine on my computer. Since a few weeks, my X server crashes out of the blue while the computer is idle and I'm logged into a Gnome session. (I'm then greeted with a new GDM login prompt). Problem manipulating text using grep

I want to search for a line that contains log4j and take 7 lines before and 3 lines after the match. grep -B7 -A3 "log4j" web.xml After that I want to add comment tags before this paragraph and after it.  I wrote this script bellow: search=`find . -name 'web.xml'` text=`grep -B7 -A3 "log4j" $search` sed -i "/$text/c $newparagraph" $search It's not working. Is there any way to just add comment symbol not replace the paragraph? Single CAS web application in a cluster

Recently a customer wanted to set up a cluster of CAS nodes to be used together with WebCenter Sites. In the process of setting this up they realized that they needed to create a web application per managed server. They did not want to have this management burden but would like to have one web application deployed to multiple nodes. The reason that there is a need for a unique application per node is that the web-application contains information that needs to be unique per node, the postfix for the ticket id. My customer would like to externalize the node specific configuration to either a specific classpath per managed server or to system properties set at startup.It turns out that the postfix for ticket ids is managed through a property host.name and that this property can be externalized.The host.name property is used in: /webapps/cas/WEB-INF/spring-configuration/uniqueIdGenerators.xmlIt is set in /webapps/cas/WEB-INF/spring-configuration/propertyFileConfigurer.xmlin a PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer.The documentation for PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer:http://static.springsource.org/spring/docs/2.0.x/api/org/springframework/beans/factory/config/PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer.htmlThis indicates that the properties defined through the PropertyPlaceHolderConfigurer can be externalized.To enable this externalization you would need to change host.properties so it is generic for all the managed servers and thus can be reused for all the managed servers: host.name=${cluster.node.id}Next step is to change the startup scripts for the managed servers and add a system property for -Dcluster.node.id=<something unique and stable>.Viola, the postfix is externalized and the web application can be shared amongst the cluster nodes.

Point in Polygon, Ray Method: ending infinite line

How do I 'see' an external USB drive connected directly to my Broadband Router?

This is a very frustrating problem! I have a small home network with several dual boot Ubuntu / Windows computers. I have recently upgraded my Broadband connection and the new router permits the direct attachment of an external USB drive which can back up all of the household's computers. There are no problems when booted under Windows, and there were no problems with older versions of UBUNTU, but since upgrading to 11.10 I can no longer "see" the drive. I used to find it via Network / Windows Network / Home / name of Router, but under 11.10 the same method yields an error message Unable to mount location Failed to retrieve share list from server. Good links somehow being converted to ones with a PHP redirect (not a virus)

This has happened to links we put on web pages and in emails. We might put www.oursite.org/work/ but when I view source it shows up as webmail.ourhosting.ca/hwebmail/services/go.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oursite.org%2F%2work%2F This ends up at the webmail login page for our web host. But only some of the people who click the link get the login page; others go directly to the original page we intended. We don't want it to go to the webmail login page, nobody needs to log in to our web site. This occurs for links to pages on our site, but also to links to other sites that we put in emails or in posts. It seems to be browser independent as well as e-mail client independent as we variously have used Firefox and Chrome as well as MS Outlook and Thunderbird. I've tried to resolve the issue with our webhost but they keep telling me they don't support our browser, or our email client (i.e., they don't understand the issue). At the moment, our only option is to try another web host just to get rid of their login. Any ideas about what's going on?

I have a site currently written with HTML5 tags. I'd like to be able to parse the site as XML, with support for namespaces, etc, to facilitate programmatic extraction of data. Currently I have <!DOCTYPE html> and <meta charset="utf-8"> Which I gather is equivalent in HTML5 to explicitly setting the content-types as <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> for my current setup. In order to serve XML it sounds like the right thing to do is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> Should I also change my Content-Type to <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Or is that not necessary? What is the advantage of having content-type be "application/xhtml+xml"? What is the disadvantage? (Sounds like it may break internet explorer rendering of the site? but maybe that information is out of date now?) Many thanks!

Software Center does not load

I'm having problems with opening my Software center and it just shuts off after loading a few seconds. I can't even get it to the main page of the Software Center. I did try to follow these commands but of no avail: sudo apt-get purge software-center sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install software-center Instead, I get an error after entering the first command: eim@eim-VAIO:~$ sudo apt-get purge software-cente Reading package lists... How can i compare Audio, what programming language should i use

I have 2 audio files that are from almost the same source. But at some points there shifted a bit. Also the codecs does not match. I would like to make a program that takes a sample 2 - 4 seconds. And looks for it in the other file. (Most of the time it's not shifted more than 30 seconds). Than take the time and store it, Go ahead for a few seconds take a sample and find it again. This way i want to create a file where i can see on what points the file is shifted. For people who are more interested in what i want. I have a audio/video file speech and subtitles. But i have same speech from different sources with differs a bit in time. And i like to make a program that can correct the subtitle time for me. Enough about the problem I looked on the Internet for ways to compare audio files. Based on what i read comparing 2 audio files isn't that easy as i had hoped. PDF to Image Conversion in Java

In the past, I created a NetBeans plugin for loading images as slides into NetBeans IDE. That means you had to manually create an image from each slide first. So, this time, I took it a step further. You can choose a PDF file, which is then automatically converted to an image for each page, each of which is presented as a node that can be clicked to open the slide in the main window. As you can see, the remaining problem is font rendering. Currently I'm using PDFBox. Any alternatives that render font better? Good quality Secure Software Development Training [closed]

Just had my annual appraisal and found out my company is willing to pay for training and exams etc! Woohoo (they kept that one quiet). I'm interested in doing a course on secure development techniques. Has anyone got any suggestions for good quality distance learning courses in secure development (I could probably get a couple of days off to attend a conference/ course if required)? We're mostly an MS .Net house but I have no particular allegiance to MS or any other programming language (though, obviously, C++ is the best language in the world). I have 12 years development experience working in (what are now) PCI:DSS environments, including designing and developing a key management system and I have some knowledge of basic attacks (XSS, injection etc). I would prefer a hard course I struggle with to a basic course I learn 3 things from (but hopefully get something right at my level). Class initialization issues loading java.util.LogManager in Android Dalvik VM

I've done changes in an Android native library and installed a new system.img file but am now getting an unrelated Error on startup. I can get past it by swallowing the error but I wanted to know if anyone can explain what the issue is. The Android implementation of Logger.java claims that it is Forcing the LogManager to be initialized since its class init code performs necessary one-time setup. But this forced initialization results in a NoClassDefFoundError. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the class not having been preloaded by Zygote yet but am not that familiar with the whole class loaders and VM business. Class initialization issues loading java.util.logging.LogManager in Android Dalvik VM

I've done changes in an Android native library and installed a new system.img file but am now getting an unrelated Error on startup. I can get past it by swallowing the error but I wanted to know if anyone can explain what the issue is. The Android implementation of Logger.java claims that it is Forcing the LogManager to be initialized since its class init code performs necessary one-time setup. But this forced initialization results in a NoClassDefFoundError. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the class not having been preloaded by Zygote yet but am not that familiar with the whole class loaders and VM business. How to get maven gwt 2.0 build working

EDIT: Added some of the output of the mvn -X -e commands at the end My company is developing a GWT application. We've been using maven 2 and GWT 1.7 successfully for quite a while. We recently decided to upgrade to GWT 2.0. We've already updated the eclipse project and we are able to successfully run the application in dev-mode. We are struggling to get the application built using maven though. I'm hoping somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong here since I'm running out of time on this. How can you connect OpenGrok to a SVN repository?

I was able to install and use opengrok on WinXP using this blog entry http://theflashesofinsight.wordpress.com/2009/05/11/install-opengrok-on-windows/ I now want to index a subversion repository. I checked out a repository to the source folder and can search the files. However the links for history and annotate are not active. I have svn installed and indexing the directory give no warnings or errors. (There was an error when I didnt have the SVN client installed) Is there some configuration needed? I saw this link http://blogs.sun.com/trond/entry/using_subversion_with_opengrok but it did not give me any clue. wso2 ESB: server configuration CRITICAL

My Scenario: I have server_1 (192.168.10.1) with wso2-ESB and server_2 (192.168.10.2) with Glassfish-v3 + web services. Problem: I am trying to create a proxy in ESB using the java Web Services, but the created proxy does not respond properly. The log says: Unable to sendViaPost for http or https does not change the result. I think I should configure the axis2.xml but I am having trouble, and don't know what to do. What is the configuration for my scenario? Please help me! EDIT: To be clear, I can directly consume the WebService in the Glassfish server, it works normal, both port and url are accessible. Only when I create a "Pass through Proxy" in the ESB, it does not work. I don't think is matter of Proxy configuration...I never had problems while deployed locally, problems started once I have uploaded the ESB to a remote server. I really would need someone to point me what is the correct procedure when installing the ESB on a remote host: configuration of axis2.xml and carbon.xml, ports, transport receivers etc... P.S. I had a look at the official (wso2 esb and carbon) guides with no luck, but I am missing something...
