    I have an external *.js file that contains Javascript. How do I get teh same intellisense and color highlighting as I do in an ASPX page? Here's my options for the js extension (set to 'Script Editor') And here's what it looks like in an ASPX page (How I would like it to look.) BTW, I did a full reset my Settings, setting them to VB and no luck.

  • Background worker not working right

    I have created a background worker to go and run a pretty long task that includes creating more threads which will read from a file of urls and crawl each. I tried following it through debugging and found that the background process ends prematurely for no apparent reason. Is there something wrong in the logic of my code that is causing this. I will try and paste as much as possible to make sense.   • Remove registry key during uninstall

    Hello there. I have a simple C# application that allows users to specify that it should be (or should not be) started with Windows; it does so by setting (or deleting) a registry key (namely, ...\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Run\MyApplicationHere). I am using a VS setup project to create the installer for this program. I don't want the installer to create this key; it should only be created when the user selects the option from within the program. Here is the issue: I would like the uninstaller to delete this key if it exists, preferably without resorting to any sort of hackery; if there is a simple "built-in" solution I would love to hear it.   • problem running system.net.webclient and process.start off a control event

    The following code causes my vs 2008 wpf project to hang, I'm not sure why. Both Part 1 and Part 2 work perfectly fine independently, but when I run them together on an control event (click a button for example) the program hangs. I've also tried shell execute for part 2 - same results. However, this code when run within the form loaded event works fine. Any insights would be truly appreciated.   • where can I download the assembly MPF.Project.NonShipping.dll?

    I want to use HierarchyNode class which is in the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Package namespace and the assembly is MPF.Project.NonShipping.dll. There was no assembly on the .net reference or on the COM. I searched for the file, but it was not on the machine. I also tried to google the dll if we could download it, but there was no link, whatsoever about the download. I am using VS 2008 sp1 by the way. Thanks in advance.

    I am developing a C# VS 2008 / SQL Server 2008 website. I have a Gridview. I included the Default.aspx and aspx.cs files below.   • Can I write for .Net 4 using VS2008?

    Can I write code against .Net 4 and its libraries using VS2008? If so how should I configure it? I realise that VS2008 will probably struggle with language changes such as the dynamic keyword but can I install the version 4 and target it anyway? My only real interest is in being able to use some of the new libraries, in particular I'm interested in the TPL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_Extensions)

    I have different tabs on my UserControl. Each tab has some controls and button. I want to change AcceptButton on the basis of group of controls I am in. I can use TextChanged event or Enter event to make a button AcceptButton for Textboxes but I have some Comboboxes too. These combos are auto complete so I can't user Enter event on these, because on Enter these combos should be completed. Following image can explain my problem more. Thanks.

    Is there a way to detect whether two EXE's (compiled from VS.Net 2008 for C++/MFC) do not have any code-level changes between them i.e. for purposes of knowing that there have been no statement changes. This is for compliance purposes when my vendor ships me an exe, ostensibly with no changes made to the code since the last time we tested it. Is there a tool to check that this is so? Cheers

  • Expression Blend doesn't recognize comand objects declared in code behind file

    I have a WPF UserControl. The code behind file declares some RoutedUICommand objects which are referenced in the XAML. The application builds and runs just fine. However Expression Blend 3 cannot load the XAML in the designer and gives errors like this one: The member "ResetCameraComand" is not recognized or accessible. The class and the member are both public. Building and rebuilding the project in Blend and restarting Blend hasn't helped. Any ideas what the problem is? I click on any functions within one.js and if those functions exists in the same one.js, the control is going to the respective function. Suppose if the function exists in two.js, the control is not going to two.js Can any one help me with this?

  • Why can't I set the Image Source in WPF app?

    I'm just learning WPF. I'm using VS 2008. I've added an Image control to my XAML, and I added a GIF file to the project. If I use the XAML Designer's property panel to set the image's Source property, the drop-down list for the Source property contains the following: C:\Sample Project;component/pinHorizontal.gif There are several problems with this: My project, named "Sample Project," is not in the root of my drive. Why is ";component" in there? If I select this value as given, I get the error "Property value is not valid" (yeah, no kidding). If I go into the XAML source and set the Source property manually, like so: The XAML Designer gives me this error: "The file pinHorizontal.gif is not part of the project or its 'Build Action' property is not set to 'Resource'." Why is this task so difficult? How do I assign an image source?

  • ASP.net Error in Design Mode

    I just switched to VS 2010, and upgraded a previous project. I'm getting the following error on a page in design mode for 2 controls: Error Creating Control - ObjectName Object reference not set to an instance of an object. One of them is a simple label, and the other is a ajax update panel. Other pages look fine. When I build and test the app, the page renders fine in the browser and functions fine - the label functions as expected and the content in the update panel works as expected. Any ideas why I'm getting this error? I tried some of the google results to no avail. It'd be great to get this out of the way. Thanks!
