  • AJAX response not valid in C++ but Apache

    I want to make a server written in C++ to power my game. I learned the basics of sockets and wrote a basic chat program that worked well. Now I want to create an HTTP server like Apache, but only for the AJAX request-response part. I think just for the beginning i copied one Apache response text, and i sent the exact response with the C++ server program. The problem that is that the browser (Firefox) connnects to the apache and everything works fine, except all of the requests get a correct response. But if i send this with the C++ client, then FireBug tells me that the response status is OK (200) but there is no actual response text. (How is this possible?) This response-text is exactly the same what apache sends. I made a bit-bit comparison and they were the same. The main.cpp there is lot of trash code like main3 and main4 functions, these do not affect the result. I know that the response stuff in the C++ code is not really good because the connection closing is not the best; I will fix that later now I want to send a success response first. UPDATE: now i tested today a lot again and i find out there is no problem with the socket. I used the fiddler program to capture the the good answer and to capture the bad. They were the same. After this i turned off my socket application, and forced fiddler to auto respond, and the answer from the 'bad' answer still bat. So after that i replaced the bad with the good and nothing happedned. The bad answer with the good text still bad on the :8888 port but the other on the original :80 port was good, but they were absolutly the same and the same program sended it (fiddler) i think there is something missing if the response is not on the same server address (even not the same port). UPDATE: oh my god! i cant send ajax request to a remote server. now i know this.

    I am working with Jmeter2.3.2 version and trying to record a webpage. I have added http proxy server under workbench and added http request default under thread group. using port 9090 and target controller test plan - thread group. grouping - do not group samplers. After this setting i have started proxy server and opened internet browser selected manual proxy setting and added address as localhost with port 9090. the issue is Jmeter is nopt recoring anything. Please suggest it is urgent.

    I'm trying to write a piece of code that will allow me to establish a TCP connection from within a DLL file. Here's my situation: I have a ruby application that needs to be able to send and receive data over a socket, but I can not access the native ruby socket methods because of the environment in which it will be running. I can however access a DLL file and run the functions within that, so I figured I would create a wrapper for winsock. Unfortunately, attempting to take a piece of code that should connect to a TCP socket in a normal C++ application throws a slew of LNK2019 errors that I can not for the life of me resolve.     I started web development in LAMP/WAMP and it was logical to me . There is a Web Server program called Apache which does the networking part of setting up a service on port 80 ( common port ) . If the request is regular HTML it uses the HTTP headers to transport files .And if the request for the file is a PHP one , it has a mod_php with which Apache invokes the PHP interpreter to process the file and it gives back HTML which is again transferred as usual HTML . Now the question is what is a Web Framework ? I came across Python based website creation and there is Flask . What is a flask , how does it compare with LAMP . Further are DJango / Ruby on Rails different from flask ? Can someone answer me and also give some good places to read on these .Thanks for your answers in advance . Further is things like LAMP slower than the common FRAMEWORKS because they claimn easy deplyment fo web apps .

    I am having some problems setting up Tomcat for JMX. I thought i had to configure the remote authentication if i access the JMX server remotely from a different machine. By remote access do they mean accessing the JMX server from any VM either locally or remotely?

  • Large Scale VHDL techniques

    I'm thinking about implimenting a 16 bit CPU in VHDL. A simplish CPU. ADD, MULS, NEG, BitShift, JUMP, Relitive Jump, BREQ, Relitive BREQ, i don't know somethign along these lines Probably all only working with 16bit operands. I might even cut it down and use only a single operand and a accumulator. With Some status regitsters, Carry, Zero, Neg (unless i use a Accumlator), I know how to design all the parts from logic gates, and plan to build them up from first priciples, So for my ALU I'll need to 'build' a ADDer, proably a Carry Look ahead, group adder, this adder it self is make up oa a couple of parts, wich are themselves made up of a couple of parts. Anyway, my problem is not the CPU design, or the VHDL (i know the language, more or less). It's how i should keep things organised. How should I use packages, How should I name my processes and port maps? (i've never seen the benifit of naming the port maps, or processes)

    Hello, everyone I cannot get a way to terminate a thread that is hung in a socket.recvfrom() call. For example, ctrl+c that should trigger KeyboardInterrupt exception can't be caught.   • Tomcat Clustering and HTTPS Issue

    Hi I have two instances of Tomcat 6 with content accessible via HTTP and HTTPS for other pages. I have configured the instances this way: 1) Instance one to listen on port 8080(Http) and 8443(Https) 2) Instance two to listen on port 7080(Http) and 7443(Https) I have mod_proxy configured with Apache 2.2 to do clustering. The requests are coming in properly and all works well for HTTP traffic but when you are in the app and it becomes HTTPS then i get the page cannot be found when tomcat tries to serve the page. Now if I access the two tomcat instances directly bypassing the load balancer then everything is fine. So http/https is configured properly on tomcat but not on Apache. I have a feeling i must configure Apache to handle this(or mod_proxy). Thanks,

    I'm setting up multisite on localhost in subdirectories. The problem is that when I'm trying to access the dashboard of a site I just created ( localhost/wptest/site/wp-admin ) I get "This webpage has a redirect loop" and when I try to access the actual website ( localhost/wptest/site ) the page loads but without assets, such as css. When I access the network dashboard, or the primary site dashboard on localhost/wptest everything is just fine. Also when I edit the permalink of the second site in the network dashboard, to be like this: localhost/site it also runs fine. How to make it work with the default permalink structure localhost/wptest/site?   • Reading data from a socket

    I am having issues reading data from a socket. Supposedly, there is a server socket that is waiting for clients to connect. When I write a client to connect() to the server socket/port, it appears that I am connected. But when I try to read() data that the server is supposedly writing on the socket, the read() function hangs until the server app is stopped. Why would a read() call ever hang if the socket is connected? I believe that I am not ever really connected to the socket/port but I can't prove it, b/c the connect() call did not return an error. The read() call is not returning an error either, it is just never returning at all.

  • Arduino not able to send serial data back

    Hello everyone So i found out how to connect the arduino to my java program. But using the seriel connections dosent give any useful data back, its either in the wrong format, or just sends it as a box. I've looked at the related questions posted early in here, but none of the tips seems to help. So does anyone know how to send the data between an arduino and a computer using the serieal port? P.S I've used the sample code from the arduino.cc homepage to connect to the serial port.

    I need to write some data to SQL Server database from Linux in c++. I found this sqlapi.com But I think, at first ODBC driver has to be installed an has to work. I folowed this adminlife.net/allgemein/mssql-zugriff-unter-debian-etch-mit-unixodbc-und-freetds/ or this http://b.gil.megiteam.pl/2009/11/linux-odbc-to-mssql/ But it didnt work, the port 1433 seems to be closed ($ sudo nmap -PN -sU -p 1433 192.168.56.101 - port "filtered") isql -v sqlexpress sa - wait with no response or get "couldn't connect to sql" From other PC with Windows I have no problem to write data in SQL Server, so server should be right configured to remote access. any idea?

    For example, take this code: $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url']."?get0=get0&get1=".$get1."&get2=".$get2."&get3=".$get3); This of course, looks very ugly, and kind of a pain in the ass to read. So my question is, would I be able to use something like this: $allgets ="?act=phptools&host=".$host."&time=".$duration."&port=".$port; $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $allgets); Very simple question I suppose, but my server is undergoing maintenance, so I can't upload it and test it myself. I suppose a yes or no answer will suffice, but if you have a more efficient way of doing this, that would be even better. :)
