• Converting paragraph tags with RegEx

  I need to replace all <p> tags with <br /> tags within a string. The problem is that the <p> tag can have attributes in it , such as <p align="center"> so I want to delete all occurrences of an opening tag of a paragraph, no matter what attributes are in it, and replace them with <br />. I am using PHP and had no success getting to the right expression with the preg_replace function. Any help would be appreciated! Joel

  So I'm new to haskell and I've been playing with it for a while now. I want to get my function that outputs all list permutations to work. I have written 2 implementations, one works well, the other is giving me an error. Any help would be awesome. This is the first (working) implementation: permute [] = [[]] permute xs = [y| x <- xs, y <- map (x:) $ permute $ delete x xs] This one is giving me an error: permute [] = [[]] permute xs = map (\x -> map (x:) $ permute $ delete x xs) xs and here's the error message: Occurs check: cannot construct the infinite type: t0 = [t0] Expected type: [t0] Actual type: [[t0]] In the expression: map (x :) $ permute $ delete x xs In the first argument of `map', namely `(\ x -> map (x :) $ permute $ delete x xs)' I'd appreciate if someone could explain why I'm getting this error.   I have received a large amount of data where the delimiter is a backslash (obviously a bad choice). I'm processing it in R for computation, and having a hard time finding how to split the string since the backslash is a metacharacter. For example, a string would look like this: "1128\0019\XA5\E2R\366\00=15" and I want to split it along the "\" character, but when I run the strsplit command: strsplit(tempStr, "\") Error in strsplit(tempStr, "\") : invalid regular expression '\', reason 'Trailing backslash' When I try to used the "fixed" option, it does not run because it is expecting something after the backslash: strsplit(tempStr, "\", fixed = TRUE) Unfortunately, I can't preprocess the data with another program because the data is generated daily. Please help and thanks!

  Is there any way to call toString() on an object with the EL? (I need the String representation of an enum as index in a map in a JSP EL expression.) I hoped something like ${''+object} would work like in java, but EL isn't that nice, and there does not seem to be any function that does it. Clarification: I have a variable somemap that maps Strings to Strings, and I have a variable someenum that is an enumeration. I'd like to do something like ${somemap[someenum.toString()]}. (Of course .toString() does not work, but what does?)

• Grails - Need to restrict fetched rows based on condition on join table

  Hi guys, I have these two domains Car and Driver which have many-to-many relationship. This association is defined in table tblCarsDrivers which has, not surprisingly, primary keys of both the tables BUT additionally also has a new boolean field deleted. Herein lies the problem. When I find/get query on domain Car, I am fetched all related drivers irrespective of their deleted status in tblCarsDrivers, which is expected. I need to put a clause/constraint to exclude the deleted drivers from the list of fetched records. PS: I tried using an association domain CarDriver in joinTable name but that seems not to work. Apparently it expects only table names, not maps. PPS: I know its unnatural to have any other fields besides the mapping keys in mapping table but this is how I got it and it cant be changed.   In Python IDLE Shell it seems I cannot use a compound conditional expression and a while loop. I tried it within brackets too. k=0 m=0 while k<10 & m<10: print k k +=1 m+=1 If I write while k<10: print k k+=1 This does work. Is there a way I could achieve the first block of code with the "and" operator. I have done it in Java. Do I just need to put together "if" statements to achieve the same functionality in Python?

  I'm using Lucene.net to build a MyListOfIds As List(Of Integer) which I then pass on to my Linq service. I then search the database as follows Return _EventRepository.Read().Where(Function(e) MyListOfIds.Contains(e.ID)).ToList Now I know that Lucene is already ordering MyListOfIds based on the weight it gave each term. What sucks is that Linq is losing that order in it's SQL search. My Question: How can I retain that sort order when building my Lambda expression? I've read the documentation and see that the SELECT query should return a result set. This is the only query used by the application. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
