  • Overwrite the Soap Envelope in Suds python

    Hello, I have a camera and I am trying to connect to it vis suds. I have tried to send raw xml and have found that the only thing stopping the xml suds from working is an incorrect Soap envelope namespace. The envelope namespace is: xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" and I want to rewrite it to: xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" In order to add a namespace in python I try this code: message = Element('Element_name').addPrefix(p='SOAP-ENC', u='www.w3.org/ENC') But when I add the SOAP-ENV to the namespace it doesn't write as it is hardcoded into the suds bindings. Is there a way to overwrite this in suds? Thanks for any help.

    I'm having trouble getting my guest network up. I have VLAN 1 that contains all our network resources (servers, desktops, printers, etc). I have the wireless configured to use VLAN1 but authenticate with wpa2 enterprise. The guest network I just wanted to be open or configured with a simple WPA2 personal password on it's own VLAN2. I've looked at tons of documentation and it should be working but I can't even authenticate on the guest network! I've posted this on cisco's support forum a week ago but no one has really responded.     I have an existing WCF RIA project built on the Release Candidate; I'm now moving to the Release version & have discovered many changes. David Scruggs made the following comment on his (MSDN) blog: "If you’ve written anything in SIlverlight 4 RIA Services, you’ll need to rewrite it. There has been a lot of refactoring and namespace moves." Having made a brief attempt to compile the old solution with the new RIA framework I'm inclined to agree. My current plan is to: remove the Silverlight Business Application projects from the Solution rebuild the EF4 items from the database create a new Silverlight Business Application project re-add the files (XAML, CS) from the old Silverlight Business Application project Does this sound like a reasonable approach? I think it's cleaner than trying to manually alter the existing project.

    I'm trying to figure out how to, using m2crypto, validate the chain of trust from a public key version of a X509 certificate back to one of a set of known root CA's when the chain may be arbitrarily long. The SSL.Context module looks promising except that I'm not doing this in the context of a SSL connection and I can't see how the information passed to load_verify_locations is used. Essentially, I'm looking for the interface that's equivalent to: openssl verify pub_key_x509_cert Is there something like that in m2crypto? Thanks.

    I am considering using Windows Server Appfabric for it caching functionality. I have an existing classic ASP application that I want to rewrite in ASP.NET MVC. However, I want to be able to do this "piecemeal" i.e. a few pages at a time. The problem is session state between the ASP and ASP.Net MVC application. I could use a database but I would like to use Appfabric since it has good scalabilty, admin, etc. My question is: does the Appfabric caching service/functionality have an API that I could wrap in .Net and expose to my classic ASP application as a com object? I could then change all the Session and Application caching in the classic application to use the com object i.e. Appfabric. In this way I can share session state between ASP.Net MVC and classic ASP. I will have to test the performance penalty associated with interop as well.

    Hi, I'm using Views module and an exposed taxonomy based filter, to allow users to select a subselection of articles. I need to further customize my filter: 1) I want the user able to order the tags alphabetically by clicking a checkbox (if this checkbox is unchecked the default order is reset. 2) I want all tags selected in the beginning to show my user all the articles. (Additional tags can be added by the user later, so I cannot just select all the tags in Views settings, because the new ones would be uncovered). thanks

  • Embedding ASPX in ASP page

    Hi all, I have an ASPX based component which I'd need to inlude into a plain ASP based script. Scenario is, that I'm working within an LMS system (Angel to be exact) and I wan't to create a new nugget within that framework. An Angel nugget is pretty much what a portlet is in the Java world. Now, the nugget spec. states that my starting point has to be a file called default.asp. What I'd like to do is: read relevant data from ASP session pass data to ASPX component have ASPX do it's job and display the results My problem is that I fail to run / display my ASPX component without using an iframe, which I want to avoid since that crushes the layout / design of my nugget. Is there a way to get this done properly or do I have to rewrite my component in ASP to get this going? Note: the component performs web service queries and such and I'd like to avoid rewriting that. thanks for your thoughts! K
