    How do I serve files from an arbitrary directory with Turbogears2? I have a database with the local path, e.g. /home/myuser/tg2env/MyProject/myproject/files/somefile.jpg tg.url seems to only be able to serve things from the public directory. Is there a widget available, or do I need to write some sort of DownloadController?

  • How to check location of 32bit Program FIles folder in windows .bat script

    I want to write .bat script which works under all flavours of Windows, no matter if 32 or 64 bit. In this script I want to run some file.exe. That file is located in C:\Program Files\ under 32-bit systems or C:\Program FIles (x86)\ under x64 systems. I can write: "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\file.exe" under 64bit systems or "%ProgramFiles%\file.exe" under 32bit systems but I want to make the script universal. Is there any way of determining that path universally?

  • problem with drag and drop for the winform using c#

    I dont have the title bar in my winform, so i need to code drag and drop for the entire form. I am using the below code to do it, which works fine. I have two panels in my form, PanelA and PanelB. During the startup i show PanelA where the drag and drop works perfectly. Later when the user clicks the button in PannelA, i need to make PanelA visible false and show the PanelB My drag and drop is not working when the PanelB is loaded in form.   • Optimistic non-locking copy of InnoDB .frm files

    MySQL Enterprise Backup(MEB) does hot backup of innodb data and log files. Till MEB 3.6.1, the user backs up the only innodb tables in a 3 step process: STEP 1. Take backup using --only-innodb option STEP 2. Temporarily make the table read only by executing “FLUSH TABLES WITH READ LOCK” MEB 3.7.0 has an enhancement to innodb file copying. The .frm files gets copied along with the hot backup done for innodb files. I would like to make the blog a little interactive by explaining the feature as answers: 1. What are these .frm files? The files containing the metadata, such as the table definition, of a MySQL table. For backups, the full set of .frm files are always required along with the backup data, to be able to restore tables that are altered or dropped after the backup. 2. Can the .frm files not be copied by MEB itself? --only-innodb-with-frm is the new option introduced in MEB 3.7.1 to do a copy of .frm files without locking the tables during backup operation itself. This is to reduce the pain of manually copying the .frm files. The option is intended for backups where you can ensure that no ALTER TABLE, CREATE TABLE, DROP TABLE, or other DDL statements modify the .frm files for InnoDB tables during the backup operation. 3. How is data consistency ensured? MEB does validation of the .frm files after copying by comparing with the server directory to see if the timestamps of any of the .frm files is greater than the saved system time (check .frm time).  This change in timestamp of the .frm files will show if a table is altered during the process of backup. The total number of frm files in the server directory is also verified against the copied contents. If the number of .frm files is less compared to server directory, it shows that table/tables have been dropped during the process of backup. If the number of .frm files is more compared to server directory, it shows that new table/tables have been created during backup operation. 4. How does MEB handle data inconsistency? MEB copies the .frm files through several iterations,  does the validation and throws a WARNING if there is any inconsistency found in .frm files at the end of backup operation. This means the user is warned of some DDL operations that had occurred during backup operation, and has to manually copy the .frm files or do a backup again. 5. What is the option and explain its usage? The option introduced is --only-innodb-with-frm which does optimistic copy of .frm files without locking. This can be used when the user wants to backup only innodb tables along with .frm files. The option can take one of the 2 values: all | related. --only-innodb-with-frm=all does copy of all .frm files of all innodb tables. --only-innodb-with-frm=related works in conjunction with --include option.This is to allow partial backup of .frm files corresponding to the tables specified in --include.     I'm using a Silverlight 3 DataGrid control and have set the SelectionMode to Extended. The DataGrid takes care of managing the extended selection for me in an almost perfect manner out of the box, but a key piece of the logic is interfering with me. I have a cell that can function as a drag and drop thumb and initiate a drag operation but users want to do a series of shift or control clicks to set a selection followed by a click and drag on one of the selected rows to initiate the drag. The problem is that the click and drag at the end of this series causes the selection to be set to only the row that was clicked. I've poked around for ways of conditionally preventing the DataGrid from changing selection, but can't seem to find anything that works. Does anyone have any ideas for preventing selection from changing?

I want to give some demos using iPhone and iPad to look cool :p Now my problem is how to handle: Mouse Down Mouse Up Mouse Leave The multitouch interface of the iPhone (which I expect is similar to the iPad) handles mouse move on a browser has a scrolling event. One could try to capture the scrolling event and use it to simulate the dragging but I don't even know if it will be doable or if it will only be a hack. Any one knows of a more robust manner to manage dragging events on the iphone/ipad?

    After creating a div on the fly with this markup: $('.circuit').prepend("<div class='component' draggable='true'>TRANSISTOR</div>"); It is NOT draggable itself :( Is jQuery prepend() the correct way to create "live" tags in the DOM? Do I need to somehow bless it a different way to make draggable=true really work? How to I wire it up so that on-the-fly divs can be draggable? AFTER NOTE: I added a static div and that is draggable. INTERESTING: I view both the static and dynamic using FireFox F12 Firebug and they are identical. But one is draggable and one is not!!!

  • Using inotify-tools and ruby to push uploads to Cloud Files

    Hi Guys, I wrote a few scripts to monitor an uploads directory for changes, then capture the file uploaded/changed and push it to cloud files using a ruby script. This all works well 95% of the time, the only exception is that occasionally, ruby fails with a 'file does not exist' exception. I am assuming that the ruby 'push' script is being called before the file is 100% in its new location, so the script is being called a little prematurely. I tried adding a little function to my script to check if the file exists, if it doesn't, sleep 5 then try again, but this seems to snowball and eventually dies.     I need to know if there is any embedded DBMS (preferably in Java and not necessarily relational) which supports multiple writer applications (processes) on the same set of db files. BerkeleyDB supports multiple readers but just one writer. I need multiple writers and multiple readers. UPDATE: It is not a multiple connection issue. I mean I do not need multiple connections to a running DBMS application (process) to write data. I need multiple DBMS applications (processes) to commit on the same storage files. HSQLDB, H2, JavaDB (Derby) and MongoDB do not support this feature. I think that there may be some File System limitations that prohibit this. If so, is there a File System that allows multiple writers on a single file? Use Case: The use case is a high-throughput clustered system that intends to store its high-volume business log entries into a SAN storage. Storing business logs in separate files for each server does not fit because query and indexing capabilities are needed on the whole biz logs. Because "a SAN typically is its own network of storage devices that are generally not accessible through the regular network by regular devices", I want to use SAN network bandwidth for logging while cluster LAN bandwidth is being used for other server to server and client to server communications.

    Hi, What would be the best approach to parse a delimited file when the columns are unknown before parsing the file? The file format is Rightmove v3 (.blm), the structure looks like this: #HEADER# Version : 3 EOF : '^' EOR : '~' #DEFINITION# AGENT_REF^ADDRESS_1^POSTCODE1^MEDIA_IMAGE_00~ // can be any number of columns #DATA# agent1^the address^the postcode^an image~ agent2^the address^the postcode^^~ // the records have to have the same number of columns as specified in the definition, however they can be empty etc #END# The files can potentially be very large, the example file I have is 40Mb but they could be several hundred megabytes. Below is the code I had started on before I realised the columns were dynamic, I'm opening a filestream as I read that was the best way to handle large files. I'm not sure my idea of putting every record in a list then processing is any good though, don't know if that will work with such large files.     In my c# Windows Forms application (.net 3.5 / VS 2008) I have 3 settings files resulting in one user.config file. One setting file consists of larger data, but is rarely changed. The frequently changed data are very few. However, since the saving of the settings is always writing the whole (XML) file it is always "slow". SettingsSmall.Default.Save(); // slow, even if SettingsSmall consists of little data Could I configure the settings somehow to result in two files, resulting in: SettingsSmall.Default.Save(); // should be fast SettingsBig.Default.Save(); // could be slow, is seldom saved I have seen that I can use the SecionInformation class for further customizing, however what would be the easiest approach for me? Is this possible by just changing the app.config (config.sections)? --- added information about App.config The reason why I get one file might be the configSections in the App.config. I have "played around" with the app.config above, but e.g. when I remove the config sections my applications terminates with an exception.

    I've never got this working the first time, but now I can't seem to do i at all. There is a connection pool somewhere using the database, so trying to drop the database when an application is using the database should give this error. The problem is there are no connection to the database when I issue these commands: db2 connect to mydatabase db2 quiesce database immediate force connections db2 connect reset db2 drop database mydatabase This allways give: SQL1035N The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019 running this command shows no connections/applications DB2 list applications I can even deactivate the database, but still can't drop it. db2 => deactivate database mydatabase DB20000I The DEACTIVATE DATABASE command completed successfully. db2 => drop database mydatabase SQL1035N The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019 db2 => Anyone got any clues? I'm running the cmd-windows as the local administrator (windows 2008) and this is also the admin for DB2. The connectionpool-user cannot connect during quiesce-state.

  • Packet drop measured by ethtool, tcpdump and ifconfig

    Hi all, I have a question regarding packet drops. I am running a test to determine when packet drops occur. I'm using a Spirent TestCenter through a switch (necessary to aggregate Ethernet traffic from 5 ports to one optical link) to a server using a Myricom card. While running my test, if the input rate is below a certain value, ethtool does not report any drop (except dropped_multicast_filtered which is incrementing at a very slow rate). However, tcpdump reports X number of packets "dropped by kernel". Then if I increase the input rate, ethtool reports drops but "ifconfig eth2" does not. In fact, ifconfig doesn't seem to report any packet drops at all. Do they all measure packet drops at different "levels", i.e. ethtool at the NIC level, tcpdump at the kernel level etc? And am I right to say that in the journey of an incoming packet, the NIC level is the "so-called" first level, then the kernel, then the user application? So any packet drop is likely to happen first at the NIC, then the kernel, then the user application? So if there is no packet drop at the NIC, but packet drop at the kernel, then the bottleneck is not at the NIC? Thank you. Regards, Rayne

  • Why doesn't disabling IE's 'Protected Mode' enable the dragging-and-dropping of addresses from the IE address bar into Notepad

    IE's Protected Mode prevents one dragging the address from the IE address bar into other applications (for example Notepad). There's an informative article on MSDN about Allowing Drag and Drop Operations in your Application. If I uncheck Enable Protected Mode in IE's settings and restart IE I still cannot drag the address from the IE address bar into other Notepad. Why doesn't disabling IE's 'Protected Mode' enable the dragging-and-dropping of addresses from the IE address bar into Notepad? Is there a way to make that work without adding a registry entry for Notepad (following the instructions in the article I mentioned)? (N.B. This is actually part of me trying to work out how to get this address drag-and-drop working in Processing.)
