• Python Eggs on Google App Engine

  Usually I would use virtualenv and pip for deployment of web applications. With Google App Engine this doesn't work, because all import statement are relative to directory of the application. The most common approach I saw was to simply copy the packages from site-packages to the directory of the application. This involves manual work and is error-prone. Another approach was to changes install_lib and install_scripts in ~/.pydisutils.cfg, but this doesn't allow me to use pip in my home directory simultaneously. Do you have any suggestions for this?

  Hi, I am having a 2 instance load balanced and session replicated tomcat 6.0.20 cluster. Should sticky_session be set to true or false for in memory session replication. http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/reference/workers.html mentions : Set sticky_session to False when Tomcat is using a Session Manager which can persist session data across multiple instances of Tomcat. where as /tomcat-6.0-doc/cluster-howto.html (Cluster Basics) mentions : Make sure that your loadbalancer is configured for sticky session mode.

  In my database I have an id column defined as [autonumber] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL which is mapped in my .hbm.xml like: <id name="Id" column="autonumber" type="int"> <generator class="identity" /> </id> When calling session.Save() updates are successful committed to the database. When adding a versioning trigger I however get the error this id generator generates Int64, Int32, Int16 of type IdentifierGenerationException. • Dependency issue with MSBuild 4.0 when doing DllImport from C# into unmanaged C++ library

  Explicitly setting dependency in VS2010 between unmanaged C++ project and C# project is honored in VS2010, but dependency is ignored in MSBuild 4.0. It is impossible to add a reference to unmanaged C++ project from C# project, afaik. How do i ensure correct build order if a solution contains unmanaged and managed projects?

Some terms are defined after they are used, and definitions sometimes reference new terms that you haven't yet encountered. Anyone know of any GOOD tutorials/walk-throughs for getting a good understanding of Chef, Chef-Server and Chef-Client? I remember seeing one video presentation online, but it barely scratched the surface.

  I would like to load TinyOS on CC2420 radio motes to operate on certain communication protocols (e.g. epidemic routing, probabilistic routing, etc.). • git status shows a file that I have listed explicitly in my .gitignore file

  I have the following line in my .gitignore file: var/www/docs/.backroom/billing_info/inv.pl but when I type 'git status' I am told the following: # modified: var/www/docs/.backroom/billing_info/inv.pl I dont understand how a file which is explicitly listed as an ignore pattern could be listed as modified when I want git to ignore it.   I'm using Protobuf-net. Suppose I have a list of Gizmo objects serialized and that each gizmo object reference a Gazoo object. The Gazoo object might be the same object referred by several Gizmo objects. How would deserialization work in this situation? Would I get more than one copies of Gazoos for the same referred one in the gizmo objects? What I would expect would be one copy of Gazoo for all the duplicates in the serialized data.

• Why is django.test.client.Client not keeping me logged in.

  I'm using django.test.client.Client to test whether some text shows up when a user is logged in. However, I the Client object doesn't seem to be keeping me logged in. The problem seems to be that the Client object is not keeping the session authenticated.

  Hi everyone... While looking for a way to temporarily save the search results when a user searches for a hotel free between particular dates i came across temporary tables. But certain questions are not answered even in mysql manual.... like... Will the temporary table be unique for each user that executes the script...? Or will it be overwritten when two different users run the script at the same time...? When will the table be destroyed..? When the user closes the browser window or just navigates away from the page in which the script runs...? Thanks for your clarifications...
