  • Print UITableView that has content off screen?

    Hi I have an iOS app that has the ability to print a UITableView. However, only th part of the tableview that is shown is printed. Is there a way to print the whole tableview, even if it has not been drawn yet?     I have a site that must stay alive due to a service that runs and check a directory for changes. The site is running in IIS at a Windows Server 2003 and the solution I came up it that I will Schedule a task that requests the home page every 5 minutes. I am sure that this way the site will stay alive almost all the time. I have downloaded Wget from Wget from Windows and I have installed it at my windows server 2003 but I don't know how to use it in order to ping the server but not download anything. Since I want to use this forever I don't want to save anything on the disk, can you provide me with the command that pings a web page but don't save anything on the disk?

    Hi: I am using a windows 2003 server .I am using LDAP to allow my wireless clients connect to the network. I can connect fine to the network. But whenever I enter a wrong credential my LDAP server freezes and no new clients can log in to the wireless network for 10 -15 minutes. i am using a cisco wlc and its doing web-authentication.

    Trying to create a large textbox of fixed size. This problem is very similar to the 140 character constraint problem, but instead of stopping typing at 140 characters, I want to stop typing when the edge of the textView's frame is reached, instead of extending below into the abyss. Here is what I've got for the delegate method. Seems to always be off by a little bit.     In Facebook, some links to articles or videos appear to be genuine links, but in fact there are leading to some "content viewing" Facebook apps, like "Dailymotion", "The Guardian", or "Yahoo!". Those apps usually require access to my email address, basic info, birthday, location, plus right to post on my behalf. Some even say in small letters "To use this app, you will be upgraded to Facebook Timeline": Workaround: Copy the name of the article/video Paste it into Google within quotes First result is the original unencumbered content. I don't want to install Facebook spyapps that provide zero value, so I do this every time. QUESTION:Is there a Greasemonkey script or similar, that would perform these 3 steps for me? I am using Chrome on Linux. I hesitated to post this question on WebApps, but over there they are clear that such questions should be posted on SuperUser.

    I'm working with JRuby and DataMapper running on Google AppEngine. I want to add a property to the AppEngine::User like :active_calendar which is a reference to a Calendar kind. I was able to do something in Python this way using a back reference. Are these possible in JRuby? Is this possible? Do I need to subclass the User? Can I even do that? If so - how? Thanks!

  • replace asp.net Response.Output with my own content

    I am trying to intercept a asp.net web request and based on a lookup replace the page thats going to be rendered to the client. example: is a request for "/about-us" comes to my web server, i will first see if i have a version of this in the database, otherwise i will revert to flat files. The version i will retrieve from the database will be a .aspx page that has to be rendered and containt web controls and inline serverside script. What is the best way to go about this? I have tried overriding the CreateHtmlTextWriter method but this seems too late in the process as the TextWriter passed to this method is already instantiated. I have also tried to Implement my own PageHandlerFactory but this seems to create an instance of Page of which i cannot seem to override its internal setting of the Response.Output stream. Amd i barking up the wrong tree here? what is the best approach to take here?

  • How to rename the original file before sending it to user

    Actually I have some download link on my website something like "http://www.example.com/somesong.mp3". Now when user click on this link they get somesong.mp3 but I want to change it before they download. I found many scripts that made it possible but didn't get exact right script. Because I want that when the user clicks on download link the file downloading should be started just after the click with the new file name as I want to use. But in all the scripts which I downloaded, first the php processing starts for a few minute (I think it depends on the file size) and then rename it. Is there a way to direct force the file in header with new file name. Thanks.

  • Rails: Best practice to store user settings?

    Hi, I'm wondering what the best way is to store user settings? For a web 2.0 app I want users to be able to select certain settings. At the moment is it only when to receive email notifications. The easiest way would be to just create a Model "Settings" and have a column for every setting and then have a 1-1 relationship with users. But is there a pattern to solve this better? Is it maybe better to store the info in the user table itself? Or should I use a table with "settings_name" and "settings_value" to be completely open about the type of settings stored there (without having to run any migrations when adding options)? What is your opinion? Thanks

  • Graphing per-user CPU usage on a Linux machine

    I want to graph (graphical output would be great, i.e. a .png file) the following situation: I have users A, B, and C. I limit their resources so that when all users run a CPU intensive task at the same time, those processes will use 25%, 25%, and 50% of CPU. I know I can get the real-time stats using top but have no idea what to do with them. I've searched through the huge top man page but haven't found much on the subject of outputting data that can be graphed. Ideally, the graph would show a span of maybe 30 seconds. Any ideas how to achieve this?

    I have a snippet of code that alters the contents of a DIV to match the contents of a textarea and then applies the height change in the DIV to the textarea element. function growTextArea(parameter) { $('div').find("[data-fieldid='1_description']").text($(parameter).val()); // No Works height = $('.hiddenDiv').find("[data-fieldid='1_description']").outerHeight(); alert(height); // Works heightDiv = $('.hiddenDiv').outerHeight(); alert(heightDiv); $(parameter).css('height', $('div').find("[data-fieldid='1_description']").outerHeight()); } The DIV contents change properly, so the search function is working properly, however the search function always returns the original height of the DIV. The function is called by onKeyUp in the textarea. If the .find is swapped out for a .hiddenDiv the height change is reflected properly.

The data source is never set. What am I missing?

    I'm running vsftpd on RedHat 6.4 using TLS/SSL on port 990. It works great. I have been tasked to have my VSFTPD server running on unencrypted port 21 as well. This gives my users to either use clear text FTP on port 21 or TLS/SSL on port 990. I have tried the following in my vsftpd.conf file and did not work. listen_port=990 listen_port=21 In my config file it has the following SSL parameters: chroot_local_user=YES ssl_enable=YES allow_anon_ssl=NO anonymous_enable=NO anon_world_readable_only=NO force_local_data_ssl=NO force_local_logins_ssl=NO require_ssl_reuse=NO Can VSFTPD run on port 21 and 990?     Let's say I allow users to link to any images they like. The link would be checked for syntactical correctness, escaping etc., and then inserted in an <img src="..."/> tag. Are there any known security vulnerabilities, e.g. by someone linking to "evil.example.com/evil.jpg", and evil.jpg contains some code that will be executed due to a browser bug or something like that? (Let's ignore CSRF attacks - it must suffice that I will only allow URLs with typical image file suffixes.)
