Based on the value selected in the first dropdown i have to query the database, using that selected value as a parameter and populate the second dropdown.     I have some procedures to execute in the database that has an OUT REFCURSOR parameter. When I am connecting with the JDBC thin client, everything works fine. However, if I were to change the connection string to refer to the ODBC data source pointing to the same database, those procedures will fail. The procedures that do not use an OUT REFCURSOR will still work fine though. Is this situation the result of an error on my part or expected?

  • Keyboard shortcut to cycle through programs (rather than just the alt-tab switch)?

    This question applies to both Windows and Mac OS X because I intend to use my mouse (Logitech G700) with both of them. The idea is I want one of my configurations to use two of my buttons to switch applications. However binding them to Alt/Cmd+Tab and Shift+Alt/Cmd+Tab is not good because the former functions as a toggle, and the latter cycles (in an unpredictable order). What I want is to move through my open applications in a circular buffer order. Do either of these OS's provide any keyboard shortcut that accomplishes this? I could live with just Alt/Cmd+Tab set to one button, but it limits me to being able to switch between only two programs.

    The site im working on is an Ajax enabled ASP.net/C# project and i have a URL like this: http://localhost:2531/(S(lfcvqc55wkabpp55o1x4pvq5))/Logon.aspx How do you get rid of the (S(lfcvqc55wkabpp55o1x4pvq5)) portion of the URL? I have a feeling its a web.config parameter however I'm not really sure what you call this part, GUID, Session ID?

    I am attempting to open .tif files that have color in them (300 dpi, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb) using the .Net Image and Bitmap classes. I always get an "invalid parameter" error when the tiffs have color (works fine for black and white tiffs). If anyone has source code on how to open a .tif with color in it I'd deeply appreciate it.     I set new value at the last row and right col on the first page of the jqGrid. After this I move to the next page and see the same new value on the first row and right col!!! I am return to the first page and see in the last row and right col the previos value(not new one). The jqGrid is initialized with datatype: "xmlstring" from javascript variable who is set with "datastr" parameter. How to resolve the situation?

    I have a list: list<Unit *> UnitCollection; containing Unit objects, which has an accessor like: bool Unit::isUnit(string uCode) { if(this->unitCode == uCode) return true; else return false; } How do I search my UnitCollection list by uCode and return the corresponding element (preferably it's index). I have looked at the find() method, but i'm not sure you can pass a boolean method in instead of a searched item parameter if that makes sense.

    Hello, I am trying to set up a list of file names for a parameter to SHFileOperation. I want to be able to concatenate a file name onto the char array, but i dont want to get rid of the terminating character. for example, I want this: C:\...\0E:\...\0F:\...\0\0 when i use strcat(), it overwrites the null, so it looks like C:\...E:\...F:\...0\ Is there any easy way to do this? or am i going to have to code a new strcat for myself?
