• Using Apache Camel how do I unmarshal my deserialized object that comes in through a CXF Endpoint?

  I have a very simple camel route. It starts with a CXF Endpoint exposed as a web service. I then want to convert it to xml and call a method on a bean. Currently i'm getting a CXF specific object after the web service call. How do I take my serialized object out of the CXF MessageList and use it going forward? • How does GMail implement Comet?

  With the help of HttpWatch, I tried to figure out how GMail implement Comet. I Login in GMail with two account, one in IE and the other in Firefox. Chatting in GTalk in GMail with some magic words like "WASSUP". Then, I logoff both GMail accounts, filter any http content without "WASSUP" string. The result shows which HTTP request is the streaming channel. (Note: I have to logoff. Otherwise, never-ending HTTP would not show content in HttpWatch.) The result is interesting. The URL for stream channel is like: https://mail/channel/bind?VER=8&at=xn3j33vcvk39lkfq..... There is no surprise that GMail do Comet in IE with IFRAME. The Http content starts with " Originally, I guessed that GMail do Comet in Firefox with multipart XmlHttpRequest. To my surprise, the response header doesn't have "multipart/x-mixed-replace" header. The response headers are as below: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Cache-Control: no-cache, no-store, max-age=0, must-revalidate Pragma: no-cache Expires: Fri, 01 Jan 1990 00:00:00 GMT Date: Sat, 20 Mar 2010 01:52:39 GMT X-Frame-Options: ALLOWALL Transfer-Encoding: chunked X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff Server: GSE X-XSS-Protection: 0 Unfortunately, the HttpWatch doesn't tell whether a HTTP request is from XmlHttpRequest or not. The content is not HTML but JSON. It looks like a response for XHR, but that would not work for Comet without multipart/x-mixed-replace, right? Is there any way else to figure out how GMail implement Comet? Thanks.

• Is there a GUI that I can use to create XML documents based on my schema?

  Hi all, I want to create a simple graphical user interface to allow non-technical users to create an XML file without having to manually edit the XML source. Ideally I'd like a drag and drop interface, but failing that, anything really. The contents of the XML file are similar to an encoded flow chart of a binary tree, so maybe something like Visio, with a save as xml option? Here's a quick sample of the XML output that is required: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <steps> <step id="1" type="prompt"> <prompt> Welcome. </prompt> <next>1.1</next> </step> <step id="1.1" type="question"> <prompt> Do you have what you need? </prompt> <yes>1.2</yes> <no>1.1.1</no> </step> ... </steps> Are there any existing tools out there that you can recommend for this purpose? • How can I transform XML to invalid XML using XSLT?

  I need to transform a valid XML document to the OFX v1.0.2 format. This format is more or less XML, but it's technically invalid and therefore cannot be parsed as XML. I'm having trouble getting my Xml transformation working because the .Net XslCompiledTransform object insists on interpreting the XSL as an XML document (which is fair enough). If I escape the xml-ish tags using &lt; and &gt, they get removed when I download the file. • Python interface to PayPal - urllib.urlencode non-ASCII characters failing

  I am trying to implement PayPal IPN functionality. The basic protocol is as such: The client is redirected from my site to PayPal's site to complete payment. He logs into his account, authorizes payment. PayPal calls a page on my server passing in details as POST. Details include a person's name, address, and payment info etc. I need to call a URL on PayPal's site internally from my processing page passing back all the params that were passed in abovem and an additional one called 'cmd' with a value of '_notify-validate'. When I try to urllib.urlencode the params which PayPal has sent to me, I get a: While calling send_response_to_paypal. • PHP CURL Google Calendar using Private URL

  I'm trying to get an array of events from Google Calendar using the Private URL. I read the Google API document but I want to try doing this without using the ZEND library since I have no idea what the eventual server file structure is and avoid having other people edit the codes. I also did a search before posting and ran into the same condition where PHP CURL_EXEC returns false with the URL but I get a JSON file if the URL is open using a web browser. Since I'm using the Private URL, do I really need to authenticate against the Google server using ZEND? I tried to do it by manipulating the DOM programmatically, but using XSLT seems more flexible to me. • Receiving broadcast messages

  Hi, I'm trying to receive broadcast messages using C# code in an ISDN network with BRI interface at my end. I see the packets sent to the broadcast ip address (239.255.255.255) on some ports using Comm View tool. But when I try to listen to this IP address, it says the address is not in a valid context. But when I send broadcast messages to 255.255.255.255 on a port, I can receive those messages with the below code.. What could be the problem with this ip address - 239.255.255.255 ? The code I use to listen to broadcast messages is.. • How do I compress a Json result from ASP.NET MVC with IIS 7.5

  I'm having difficulty making IIS 7 correctly compress a Json result from ASP.NET MVC. I've enabled static and dynamic compression in IIS. I can verify with Fiddler that normal text/html and similar records are compressed. Viewing the request, the accept-encoding gzip header is present. The response has the mimetype "application/json", but is not compressed. I've identified that the issue appears to relate to the MimeType. When I include mimeType="*/*", I can see that the response is correctly gzipped. How can I get IIS to compress WITHOUT using a wildcard mimeType? I assume that this issue has something to do with the way that ASP.NET MVC generates content type headers. The CPU usage is well below the dynamic throttling threshold.   I am setting up a simple ActiveMQ embedded broker. It works fine, until I try to configure a persistence adapter. • How to Create Deterministic Guids

  In our application we are creating Xml files with an attribute that has a Guid value. This value needed to be consistent between file upgrades. So even if everything else in the file changes, the guid value for the attribute should remain the same. One obvious solution was to create a static dictionary with the filename and the Guids to be used for them. Then whenever we generate the file, we look up the dictionary for the filename and use the corresponding guid. But this is not feasible coz we might scale to 100's of files and didnt want to maintain big list of guids. So another approach was to make the Guid the same based on the path of the file. Since our file paths and application directory structure are unique, the Guid should be unique for that path. So each time we run an upgrade, the file gets the same guid based on its path. I found one cool way to generate such 'Deterministic Guids' (Thanks Elton Stoneman). • Windows Programming: ID2D1Bitmap Interface - Getting the Bitmap Data

  I've been writing my own library of functions to access some of the new Direct2D Windows libraries. In particular, I've been working on the ID2D1Bitmap interface. I wanted to write a function to return a pointer to the start of the bitmap data (for the editing of particular pixels, or custom encoding or whatever else I might wish for in the future). Unfortunately... problem ahead... I can't seem to find a way to get access to the raw pixel data from the ID2D1Bitmap Interface. Does anyone have an idea how to access this? One of my friends suggested drawing the bitmap to a surface and extracting the bitmap data from there. I don't know if this would work. It definitely seems inefficient and I wouldn't know which kind of surface to use. Any help is appreciated. (c++ in particular, but I assume the code won't be tooo different between languages) (I know I could just read in the data direct from the file, but I'm using the WIC decoders which means it could be in any number of indecipherable formats)

  Hello, i am using the following code to redirect stdout to a pipe, then read all the data from the pipe to a buffer. I have 2 problems: first problem: when i send a string (after redirection) bigger then the pipe's BUFF_SIZE, the program stops responding (deadlock or something). second problem: when i try to read from a pipe before something was sent to stdout. I get the same response, the program stops responding - _read command stuck's ... The issue is that i don't know the amount of data that will be sent to the pipe after the redirection.
