  • CakePHP with AJAX loaded pages

    Hi there. I am trying to create a website in which all interaction takes place on a single page which has its main content filled via AJAX. The site is effectively a template with a central interaction area. Users can click links which results in an AJAX request to fetch a new page to display in the interaction area. In this way, the page never refreshes, instead it has its content fetched and displayed via AJAX. I have found that the CakePHP framework has many useful features that could work with this project, however, I do not no if the Cake's MVC architecture would work with my single page architecture. So, what I really want to know is if I can use CakePHP features and functions on a website of this type, and also if anyone could give me any helpful tips on how I would go about implementing it. I am sorry if this is rambling or vague, english is not my mother tongue so I have trouble expressing what I have to say clearly. Thank you for your time.

  • Creating a horizontal fluid layout in css that works like a table

    Basically what i am after is a fluid solution in css, that is similar to the table layout below.The principal behind this layout is 3x3 grid where by a user can add content into the first fluid area and it will expand the complete width of the page. But if that user decides that he wants content in the 2nd and 3rd area, all 3 td's fill up 33% of the width. Coming from a very rural part of the country where there is a huge opportunity for charity events like this, it got me wondering. Are there other large movements like GiveCamp that are out there? GiveCamp is sponsored by Microsoft, so of course most are run through .NET user groups. Are there other flavors of it? Different types? Java/Python/other open source charity movements?     Hi, does anyone know how i can get the id of any element when the mouse is over ? I want to show a div (box) over the elements (tags) the mouse is over.   • CSS Rollover button bug

    Hi Everyone, I'm trying to create a drop down button and its almost working except one little bug. I have several big buttons that change background color when the user hovers over them and one of them, the language button, displays several suboptions inside itself when the user hovers over it. That all works fine except the language button doesn't change its background color when the user hovers over it. It does change its color if the cursor is just inside the button but not if it touches the 3 sub options. What i need is a technique or a rule that states that the button will change background color if user hovers over it or if the user hovers over one of its children elements. How do I achieve this?     Hi all, I would like to implement a application which backs up all the internal datas like sms, mms, videos, audios, documents, call history stored in iPhone. But this seems to be not possible with api docs that the apple has released so far ... I have gone through the pdf of ENterprise distribution program and some of the links related to Enterprise Distribution Program, specifies about the Remote wipe and accessing of internal datas like Calendar, sms, mms ect .... But they didnt mention how to do it programmatically. Does Apple provide any special priviledges like extra api support to access the internal data in their Enterprise Distribution Program?. Is there any difference between Enterprise Distribution Program and Standard Distribution Program in the development point of view? And since in-house distribution does not require Apple approval, shall we use some other method which are not officially mentioned in apple docs, to access the internal stored data ..     Hi , While validating my CSS on http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ I am getting following errors: 1.Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1. 2.Property -webkit-transition doesn't exist : all 200ms ease-in all 200ms ease-in 3.Property opacity doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 4.Property -moz-border-radius doesn't exist 5.Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist Is it really required to validate the MarkUp and CSS completely for SEO or these errors which mostly are browser specific can be ignored for now. If these errors have to removed can someone please suggest the way to do so also.

Is it possible to use CSS to give a a page a constant top margin if that div has no background (e.g. you can see through it)?     Hello, I'm trying to connect to an oracle database with sqldeveloper. I've installed the .Net oracle drivers and placed the tnsnames.ora file at C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\client_1\Network\Admin. I'm using the following format in tnsnames.ora. dev = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.XXX.XXX)(PORT = XXXX)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = idpdev2) ) ) In sqldeveloper, when I try to create a new connection, no tns names show up as options. Is there something I'm missing?
