  • Under what conditions will you get unresolved external symbol for __declspec(dllimport)?

    I am converting an application to use .dlls and I'm riddled with linker errors stating unersolved external symbol"__declspec(dllimport) public: void __thiscall Rail::SetNextrail(class Rail *)" There is more gibberish at the end of this error message. Why should this happen and how do you fix it? __declspec(dllimport) is being placed with a macro defined as: #ifdef LUDOAI_EXPORT #define DECLSPECAI __declspec(dllexport) #else #define DECLSPECAI __declspec(dllimport) #endif

    Google have just thrown up thousands of errors for duplicate content on my link tracker I am using. I want to make it so Google & any other search engines do not visit my pages on the link tracker. I want these pages to disallow these robots, my pages are: http://www.site.com/page1.html http://www.site.com/page2.html How would I write my robots.txt to make all robots not visit these links when they are in my page?

  • the '.htaccess' file won't work on my apache server

    Hi, I have an Apache server installed on my windows machine using XAMPP. Now I'm trying to use a premade .htaccess file for one of my projects, but it doesn't seem to be seeing it. The project just totally ignores it, even though I've enabled mod_rewrite. Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? I can't fix it if it just doesn't work and doesn't show me any errors. Appreciate your help.

  • How can I change the color of build output in a shell window?

    I have a build process which runs from a batch file. It produces a large volume of text. Sometimes it prints the word "Error" or "Warning" followed by a message. The errors and warnings are getting lost among a sea of text. Can I highlight those words in a different color, maybe in a dos window, or a cygwin shell window, possibly by piping them through some string manipulation program before posting them to the screen?   • When does the @ become usefull?

    As you know, the @ characters before a php istruction suppress every eventual warning, error or notice from being raised. Personally, i dont like this tecnique, becose i prefer to handle those errors, and in a real life, the error must no happen or have to be managed. By the way, i find this tecnique to be applied in many scripts (cms plugins, open-source classes). So, could the @ really be usefull (in this case, an example would be appreciated), or is just for lazy developers?

  • How to determine whether or not a video format is supported

    Hi, I've had to write an application that lists and plays tutorial videos along with accompanying text. It works well but since the videos are added by the user I need a way of checking to see whether or not a video can be played on the machine. I'm not sure whether or not there is an easy way to try test the file (and catch errors) or if I need to start looking at codecs installed. Does anybody have any experience with this?

  • Push notification is successfully sent, but the device does not receive (occasionally)

    I have been having a problem where some devices will not receive a push notification, since yesterday. The certificate / devicetoken seem to be correct, since the device used to successfully receive push notifications until yesterday. On the server-side, there are no errors or connection refusals, and the push notification seems to be successfully sent every time. But still, there are many occasions where the device does not correctly receive the push. Some surrounding information: I am doing this on the production environment. No errors / connection refusals on the server-side I am sending the exactly same JSON everytime. 2 of our devices are not receiving the push notification AT ALL since yesterday 1 of our device receives push notifications at a lower success rate (about 70%) than yesterday 1~2 of our devices still receive push notifications successfully even now. All of the above devices were able to receive push notifications properly on the production environment until yesterday. There is no difference in the server-side result for when the push is successful, and when the device doesn't receive it... Therefore it is virtually impossible to identify the problem.   • html5media library doesn't work on FF 3.6.3

    Hi. Am I the only one experiencing this issue? I'm using the html5media library and the test page they provide no longer plays in Firefox 3.6.3, though it plays on the latest Safari, Chrome, Opera, and IE. On FF 3.6.3, it shows the video and the audio with large X through them. I'm using this library on my site and noticed the issue as well. I'm not seeing any errors in the error console.

  • Show Detailed Error in SQL Profiler

    Is there any way showing the detailed exception for String or binary data would be truncated. I use LINQ to SQL and i cant figure out which column is that!? Tried numerous things but i get the same meaningless error i got from within Visual Studio. Also I use .NET 3.5 SP1, but errors are still returned useless.
