Deploy GWT Application to Google App Engine using NetBeans

Hello, I try to deploy a GWT application, to Google App Engine using NetBeans. I had successful run GWT sample http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/doc/latest/tutorial/create.html using Personal GlassFish v3 Prelude Domain, by 1) Copy generated source code from StockWatcher to C:\Projects\StockWatcherNetbeans\src\java\com\google\ 2) Modify C:\Projects\StockWatcherNetbeans\nbproject\gwt.properties gwt.module=com.google.gwt.stockwatcher.StockWatcher 3) Select Personal GlassFish v3 Prelude Domain, and run. All works fine! Now, I try to select Google App Engine server, and run. However, I get the error "There is no appengine web project opened!" I check... There is file called C:\Projects\StockWatcherNetbeans\war\WEB-INF\appengine-web.xml with content <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <appengine-web-app xmlns="http://appengine.google.com/ns/1.0" xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xsi:schemaLocation='http://kenai.com/projects/nbappengine/downloads/download/schema/appengine-web.xsd appengine-web.xsd'> <application>StockWatcherNetbeans</application> <version>1</version> </appengine-web-app> I am using NetBeans 6.7.1 GWT4NB (GWT Plugin for NetBeans) 2.6.12 Google App Engine plugin for NetBeans from http://kenai.com/downloads/nbappengine/1.0_NetBeans671/updates.xml Anything I had missed out? Even when I right click to the project, the Deploy to Google App Engine options is disabled. And yes, please do not ask me why not use Eclipse.

Android SDK: hello world does not run

I have installed Java x64, Eclipse Classic Judo x64 + ADT Pluggin. OS win 7 x64. I did installation everything according to the manual. Then created first application and launched it. Emulator was launched but hello world was not. I have not idea what doing wrong. I found that, the doc b is re-calling itself from the harddisk, I believe this is because of the document('') function above, so I wanna replace/remove it. Thanks.

Is the order of params important in NHibernate?

If I have an int parameter followed by a string parameter in a sproc I get the following error: Input string was not in the correct format However, if I switch those parameters in the sproc than I get the result set I expect. Are params sorted by data type, or do I have to do anything special in my config file? How can we serialize a class that is not a custom class of our own?

I need to look at the properties of an object and I cannot instantiate this object in the proper state on my dev machine. I need my client to run some code on her machine, serialize the object in question to disk and then I can analyze the file. Here is the class I want to serialize. Flex 4 - Highlight keywords in a block of text using TextLine

I have a search and results page that I would like to highlight the keywords that were searched for, in the text of the results. It was suggested that I use TextLine for this, but I am having trouble figuring out how to make it work. Python line file iteration and strange characters

I have a huge gzipped text file which I need to read, line by line. I go with the following: for i, line in enumerate(codecs.getreader('utf-8')(gzip.open('file.gz'))): print i, line At some point late in the file, the python output diverges from the file. This is because lines are getting broken due to weird special characters that python thinks are newlines. When I open the file in 'vim', they are correct, but the suspect characters are formatted weirdly. Is there something I can do to fix this? I've tried other codecs including utf-16, latin-1. I've also tried with no codec. I looked at the file using 'od'. Sure enough, there are \n characters where they shouldn't be. But, the "wrong" ones are prepended by a weird character. I think there's some encoding here with some characters being 2-bytes, but the trailing byte being a \n if not viewed properly. If I replace: gzip.open('file.gz') With: os.popen('zcat file.gz') It works fine (and actually, quite faster). But, I'd like to know where I'm going wrong.

Please tell me how to fill values in above xml as a CData format. i know that we can create CDATA like : XmlNode itemDescription = doc.CreateElement("description"); XmlCDataSection cdata = doc.CreateCDataSection("<P>hello world</P>"); itemDescription.AppendChild(cdata); item.AppendChild(itemDescription); but my process is to read node of xml and change its value not to append in it. Is there some property to update the id value? Hi, I am using media player to play audio and video. I am creating own button to increase and decrease the volume of the media player. working fine too. Problem: Even after reaches 0% volume its audible. If the player volume increase the system volume also be increased. Is it possible. How to achieve this task. paperclip overwrites / resets S3 permissions for non-bucket-owners

I have opened this as an issue on Github (http://github.com/thoughtbot/paperclip/issues/issue/225) but on the chance that I'm just doing this wrong, I thought I'd also ask about it here. If someone can tell me where I'm going wrong, I can close the issue and save the Paperclip guys some trouble. Issue: When using S3 for storage, and you wish your bucket to allow access to other users to whom you have granted access, Paperclip appears to overwrite the permissions on the bucket, removing access to these users. Process for duplication: Create a bucket in S3 and set up a Rails app with Paperclip to use this bucket for storage Add a user (for example, [email protected], the user for the video encoding service Zencoder) to the bucket, and grant this user List and Read/Write permissions. Upload a file. Refresh the permissions. The user you added will be gone. As well, a user "Everyone" with read permissions will have been added. The end result is that you cannot, so far as I can tell, retain desired permissions on your bucket when using Paperclip and S3. Can anyone help?
