• How do I install the btrfs-restore utility on 12.04?

  I would like to install btrfs-restore on Kubuntu 12.04 apt-cache search btrfs-restore returns nothing. Google "ubuntu download OR install btrfs-restore" returns nothing useful. Also, where do I get btrfs help? I'm not getting any replies on #btrfs on freenode.net. (Correction: I was too impatient. #btrfs was very helpful!) UPDATE: the previously accepted answer no longer works, so I unselected it as the answer. The PPA dmitrij.ledkov/ppa is missing now. Thanks to Pkunk at #btrfs, I posted a new solution below.

• "Updating VMware Tools for Linux" spins forever

  I installed Ubuntu 11.04 inside VMware Player 3.1.4 inside Ubuntu 10.10 When first booting on the ISO image I was asked if I wanted to download the VMware Tools for Linux and I accepted. It downloaded for a few minutes, and then it has been "updating" for an hour already. Even shutting down the VM does not stop it. If I try to exit VMware, I am told "Cannot exit while still downloading. Cancel all downloads and try again." but the dialog's Cancel button is greyed out. Nothing special in vmware.log I ended up killink VMware. A few days after I restarted it, it asked about the VMware Tools again, I accepted again, and same problem...

I go to the 3rd step which is the preparing to install ubuntu . and it check everything is going right ,no red x marks. and below the dialogue there is optional choices download update while installing install third-party software and here is the problem If I choose any of those or if I don't and just continue the mouse pointer is just freezing for hours and I don't access the next step I hope you got what I mean and thank you .

  I am creating a module in my website which displays ringtones. it is like creating blog posts and categories It will have categories(tags) and posts. (i am using category and tag interchangeably) i am using the following linking for this module sitename.com/blog sitename.com/blog/category/category-name-slug/ - will list all ringtones of that category/tag sitename.com/blog/title/name-slug-of-the-ringtone/ - this will display the details and a download link in all page at the left i display the category/tag . This is how i have formed the url structure. it will be user friendly i hope yet will it be seo friendly? Please hint if i am missing something or other ways to improve. meanwhile i am browsing the net to get more information on linking content (categorizing) and to find best ways for the user and search engine.

The cd with GRUB2 is in the drive, but when I type 'sudo apt-get install grub-efi' it says: package grub-efi is not available, but is referred to by another package. • apt-fast for ubuntu 14.04?

  I just upgraded to ubuntu 14.04 from ubuntu 12.04 (Which I loved) and now, I cant install apt-fast. My net connection is very slow and I want to download using apt-fast but whenever I add the apt-fast ppa and update and try to install it, It says package apt-fast not found How do I fix this? thank you. I really appreciate The effort made by askubuntu (Which includes you awesome people ;)) To help me. My problem has already been answered. Here is a screenshot of my software sources.   I am trying to import in XNA an .fbx model exported with blender.   At the time of installation i gave login password and that was the login keyring password and authentication password.. then once in user accounts-login options in dat for password options i set as none and then i locked.. after that the passwd which i gave at the time of installation remained as login keyring passwd but wen i entered that passwd for authentication while installing some packages it's showing authentication failure.pls try again.. so i couldnt download any packages or updates.. is there any possibilities to change/reset the authentication password.. pls help me..

• How to safely collect bank account from website?

  I want to collect bank account information from my customers on my website. I'd like to do that trough a form, then I will download it to a PC, print it, and then delete it from the website. Or eventually, send it somewhere external right after the user submitted the form so it never gets stored on the website. The goal is to recieve the payment information without having to ask the customer to print, fill manually, and send it over fax. And accomplish this without having to use an external payment gateway. • EL 3.0 Public Review - JSR 341 and Java EE 7 Moving Along

  Following closely on the lines of EL 3.0 Early Draft, the specification is now available for a Public Review. The JCP2 Process Document defines different stages of the specifications. This review period closes Jul 30, 2012. Some of the main goals of the JSR are to separate ELContext into parsing and evaluation contexts, adding operators like equality, string concatenation, etc, and integration with CDI. The section A.7 of the specification highlights the difference between Early Draft and Public Review. Download the Public Review and and follow the updates at el-spec.java.net.
