  There are a lot of webdeveloper addons available, for Firefox, like firebug. But is there a html editor addon for Firefox. Which I can edit my website. Viewing the edits real-time (using localhost or via ftp?) and saving the edits(CTRL+S) I am currenlty using firebug and it would save a lot of time if I could save the (local) .html file using a firebug like addon!(or firebug itself?) I Found a firebug addon to save .css files... now just need one to save html, and I am good to go!

Recently I installed one of the powerful Firefox plugins and played around to tweak the behavior of the browser. At the end of my half an hour play, Firefox has completely become useless and stopped rending web pages properly. To continue using Firefox I had to restore it to default settings. But I don’t like to uninstall and then install it again as it’s a time consuming process and also I’ll loose all the plugins I’m using. How did I restore the default settings in a single click? Default Settings Restore Through Safe Mode Options It’s very easy to restore default settings of Firefox with the safe mode options. All we need to do is 1.  Close all the Firefox browser windows that are open 2. Launch Firefox in safe mode 3. Choose the option Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults 4. Click on Make Changes and Restart button. Note: When Firefox restore the default settings, it erases all the stored passwords, browser history and other settings you have done. That’s all. • Firefox 4 crashing in VNC

  On my desktop PC I've been using Kubuntu 10.04 for about a year. Recently I've updated Firefox to version 4 using aptitude and the mozilla-team/firefox-stable repository. Since then, I can't run it when I'm logged in through a VNC session. Firefox crashes immediately: when I try to run it from the console I get this error: ###!!! Firefox 3.x worked fine also from a VNC session. I tried to turn off the hardware acceleration from the Firefox preferences, but that doesn't fix the problem. firefox --sync, firefox -safe-mode and firefox -ProfileManager also crash the same way. • Firefox on wine crashes on startup on Ubuntu

  First, let's explain why I want Firefox under wine, and not the Firefox that is shipped out of the box with Ubuntu. I want to use Firefox under wine because I want to use the Widevine addon, which is "at this time not available for linux". Here is what I did so far to install and use Firefox on wine. On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I just installed wine like that: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install wine Then I downloaded the windows installer for Firefox from the mozilla website. • Firefox freezes frequently

  Good day, The application Firefox freezes very frequently and I have to use 'force quit" to get out and hence I lose all my activities and it is extremely frustrating. Only in one occasion, there was a pop-out message saying that this problem was going to be tracked but in all other occasions there is no tracking and no message I posted this error on Ubuntu community and it was stopped and I was told to post it on launchpad. I did try to do so with no success as after reading pages and pages which i really do not understand who would read them and why so many ridiculous and tedious rules and information, i even could not find the place or the way to post this bug. And I thought of this ASkUBUNTU and so i am posting here in the hope for some useful help and I have to mention I am new to Linux. Just a few minutes ago, I opened the Firefox through the Terminal and it crashed very quickly and there are some error messages and i copy and paste them hoping they can help thank you in advance and look forward to your help and solving this frustrating problem/bug and if you wish you may post it on Launchpad or do with report as you wish as long as the problem is solved. • Firefox Extension needs to get cookie from PHP redirected external page.

  I am writing a firefox extension that interacts with a JSON server interface. I receive a url to the server which then redirects to the client site that provides the cookie. I need to be able to set this cookie in the users browser without physically loading it in the browser. Is this possible through an AJAX call? I tried using a hidden iframe, however firefox does not seem to like a php redirect in the iframe. My current solution is to load the site in a second tab that never gains focus and then auto close it when the cookie is set. This is very messy and would prefer something more streamlines. Any thoughts?

  I'm trying to run a hosted script with content privileges in my Firefox extension. To do this, I create a content iframe in the hidden window pointed at a html file that pulls the script. This script requires the 'history' be available, but the iframes created in the hidden window have no history for some reason. Chromebug reports this for the iframe's contentWindow.history: object does not support history (nsIDOMHistory) And the script gives this error when its not available: Error: Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIDOMHistory.length] Any ideas?

Then I want to control the browser in WatiN 2.0: FireFox ff = Browser.AttachTo<FireFox>(Find.ByTitle("Google")); WatiN could not find Firefox window (JSSH plugin has been added in Firefox). But the same test on IE 7 is ok. I even tried to open a Firefox window manually and visit google.com page. WaitN in IE7 could attach to the browser, but Firefox failed. • Is there an extension or a way to write an extension for firefox that allows a developer to refresh

  I'm a developer, and I spend much of my day refreshing the webapps I work on. Occasionally, I'll encounter pages where POST data was submitted, and firefox will prompt me to Resend POST data or to Cancel. Now, I know that I can just redirect a page to itself to get rid of this warning, but I still want to keep this warning for our users; I just want to be able to skip it while developing. It's also not just on one page, but at many different points throughout the app, so it's not like I can just do if $debug==true then redirect or something like that. Basically just a minor convenience issue, but when I encounter the message 50-100 times a day, it can get aggravating. What I want to do is essentially have 3 options when refreshing: Resend POST data, cancel, or refresh without resending POST data The third option would be equivalent to clicking "enter" in the address bar (which is what I end up having to do). The problem with clicking enter is that I often have to "hard refresh" using ctrl+shift+r, but if I do this with POST data I have to click cancel, then click enter on the address bar, then do a hard refresh after that. I would instead like to press ctrl+shift+r, then continue hard refreshing the page without the POST data. Does anyone know how to do this? Through an extension or otherwise? It's totally a minor issue, but it's something that constantly bothers me and I actually think it would be quite a useful option. Thanks

• Firefox isn't using my download manager (flash videos)

  I installed "Free Download Manager." I see the plugin in Tools-Add-ons (it doesn't have any options). I use several different flash video downloaders, because I haven't found one that works period on any site. When I save the video with two I tried, they are being downloaded by Firefox's default download manager (which means simultaneously - which is why I installed the download manager - I need them to download one at a time - in a prioritized queue.) [I used to use Flashgot (long ago), and it worked with some download manager I had installed - but over time it failed to see most videos. I installed Flashgot again, and it still fails to see anything but images and video ads.] Currently, I have to manually start Free Download Manager (from outside of Firefox), start the download in Firefox, stop it, copy the link location from Firefox's download menu, and then add it manually in Free Download Manager. Yuck. Do I need a different download manager (that takes over - recommendations?), or did I somehow install this one wrong or miss a setting somewhere in Firefox? Thanks for any help.

• Firefox requests the master password twice

  I've set a master password for Firefox. When Firefox starts, it strangely opens two separate password request windows. When I type in the master password and hit enter, Firefox opens without problems, but the other password request window stays there. I simply close it but it's annoying. Why are there 2 windows as it's enough to type the password once? I've upgraded Firefox from 3.5.5 to 3.5.6 but the problem remains. Any comments? • Firefox's master password does not protect my web accounts

  I've set up a master password in Firefox 3.6 but it's not working as I expected. I always save my passwords within Firefox for frequently visited sites like Facebook, Yahoo! mail, Gmail, Twitter etc. and this way I don't have to type in my password every time I open that site. When I open Firefox, it asks for the master password but when I click Cancel, it opens normally, and lets me directly in my Facebook page, or Yahoo! Mail page. Why doesn't it protect my accounts? This way, anyone using my computer can see my accounts and it's totally pointless for me to use this master password. How can I protect my accounts with saved passwords in Firefox?

  I have Ubuntu Linux 8.04 LTS with Firefox 3.6.3. Unfortunately it is super easy to accidentally click Add To Dictionary on a word you do not want added into one's personal dictionary used in Firefox. How do I remove the word 'intsead' out of it? I tried some tutorials on the web that said to find ~/.mozilla/*.default/persdict.dat, but I could not see one. As well, others have complained that this file no longer exists in Firefox 3.
